Yeah, I've not actually been that impressed with my Juicy. It feels awesome, and when I've tried bedding it in with water, it's been amazing for a few minutes. And then when it goes dry, it gets a bit rubbish. I would buy a BB7

I was going to get mine in green, but I decided against it. Which I'm quite glad about, I don't really like that shade. Too "toothpaste" for my liking. Anyway, the rest of the bike is niiice.

Advertising is sustainable though, whereas the odd Paypal donation is not. I'm sure Tom and Danny don't want to get into a situation where the money coming in is not constant. The advertising works well. I'm sure Tom and/or Danny will be along shortly to give the proper reasons. But I don't really see the problem with the way the forum is run. It works, and we get a free forum. And there's no way I want to pay to make for sale posts. Silly.

Unless you are using fast user switching and you have two people logged in at the same time.

Just leave it. It's a blatent scam. Delete the emails and forget about it. Why would someone offer you £190 for something you're selling for £70ish?
-
I *think*: Recorded delivery only allows the sender to know if it's been received. So basically use that if you don't trust the person you're selling it to very much. But it doesn't actually get you any more compensation if it goes missing. Everything is insured to £27 (unless you pay for more insurance), recorded or not. Special deliv ery is different though.

Victory for the masses?

Aye, that's the one

Yeah I noticed that today too. It linked to Ben Savage's eBay shop. Can't find a link now, you'll just have to wait and find it.

Shorter, higher stems are better for pulling the front end up quickly (bunny hops). The "shorter" stem thing is certainly true, but a couple of people would argue about the "higher" thing. That stem is waaaay too long for a stock bike. Something shorter would definitely help, and then height is a personal preference thing. Play around with spacers to adjust the height. I would imagine though that those bars make the front end pretty low anyway, so unless you have loads of spacers on there, I would get a higher rise stem

I have to say I didn't really understand why it had been closed. But then again I don't really understand or care about decisions like that, it's for the mods/admin to decide. Partz, your list isn't very comprehensive. Where am I? Anyway, I think I know who Simon means. But let's not give the game away just yet. Here's some clues: +

Someone's been listening to Ricky Gervais

I kind of agree. A lot of the stuff was the same as in TM2, and that was free and came out months ago. It's good and it's worth the money, it's just the standard of internet videos is great. Still glad I bought it though.

My standard axle broke just under the tightening collar thing. I only noticed because my hub was skipping quite a lot. So yeah, it can cause the hub to skip. But if it's not skipping then I'd say it's fine.

Power on self test. When you turn the computer on and it checks the ram, hard drives etc. Basically do you get ANYTHING on the screen? Do you have another video card you can use in it?
-
Could be anything. Does it turn on? Fans spin and stuff? Any beeps coming from inside the computer? Have you tried the screen on another computer? How about the spec of the PC? A little more info is needed.

Seabrook's Salt and Vinegar ***. Much nicer than Walkers and don't have carcinogens in (I think that's an urban myth though). I like Prawn Cocktail, but they're not every day crisps. They're only for special occasions

Download the logitech program off their website. Apparently that works, but I don't know.

Try the disk somewhere else. Until then I'd assume that the disk is f**ked. I take it your PC plays other DVDs fine?
-
Mine's here too. That's pretty good service from the Select boy Gonna save watching it until later, but I just tried it and it seems to be working fine. Boon - either your DVD drive is f**ked, or you got a bad copy. Try it another PC/DVD player?

If the Havoc fits, and you liked it, I'd be tempted to just get another. The xen will be a bit lighter and a bit better-ventilated, but that's about it. Having said that, CRC have some slightly cheaper Xens (the old ones).

If you right-click the link on the start menu, I think you can change it, as people have said. You get a different menu if you right click c:/docs and settings/blah/user/my music if you see what I mean. So try both. But you can definitely do it because I have my documents set to d:\ (Although that is on XP Pro)

Dilema - To Tell Insurance Company Or Not :-s
Tomm replied to Joe Papasnap Maher's topic in Chit Chat
Yeah, no-one mentioned the excess. Obviously you know what that is, but it's likely to be loads like Prawn said. And then the years of extra premium you'll pay, it all adds up to lots. E.g. £500 extra next year, then £300, then £200. That's £1000 extra on your premiums in just 3 years. What you need to remember is that whilst you might settle for a half-assed job done by some mate who knows del-boy, he probably won't, and you'll need to get it sorted through the official dealers. Otherwise, he could lose out in the long run by not having perfect body work etc, which he is blatantly not going to agree to. I think you're gonna have to ask him to get a quote and see what he says. He might be reasonable and go to a friend who will only charge a few quid, or he might go to the dealer who won't think twice about rinsing the b*****d that crashed into his customer. If it's extortionate then you might have to go with the insurance. The upside is that if you claim on the insurance, at least you can get yours fixed for no extra cost. Of course if you can't afford to pay for the body work at the moment then you don't really have any option but to get the insurers involved. Good luck -
There's nothing wrong with being left-foot-forwards, but if it's more comfortable the other way around then try that and see how you get on. Remember though that some people can ride well with either foot forwards, so it's probably something you can learn if you stick at it.

But it won't break. Whereas the Hadley one will. A dependable hub is much more important in trials than one with loads of engagements. Chris Kings are only good because they are dependable as well as having loads of engagements.
