    Ahahaha

That was unexpected. It was funny
  2. Do people actually have experience with EBC pads? Everyone says "yeah they're better than the standard ones", but has anyone tested this? The only Avid I have used with EBCs was very underwhelming, but that could have been something completely unrelated.
  3. While we're on the subject: Where can I get some webspace from for just storing the odd file, hosting pictures and maybe a video or something if I want to send it to someone. Nothing hardcore at all, just a little hole on the internet. Would that be possible (I'm presuming it would be), and if so how much would that cost?

    Tft Monitor

I'm not sure I like the idea of having a reflective surface on the front of your computer screen. I'd just be annoying, non? Having said that, I saw a Compaq (?) notebook with one of those screens and the colour on it was fantastic, so vibrant. Not sure whether that's down to the glass or something else though.
  5. Haha, you're a tool. You're in the wrong. Maybe he is too, but you are too. You both just sound like 2 year old squabbling, really.

And THIS ONE. Looks awsome, but it ain't cheap.
  7. Man I'm dumb. Thanks That ain't that high though, a level BB on a BMX would be about 10.5" ish, no? And most BMXes have some BB rise don't they?
  8. Oh aye. You got something up your sleeve? Leeson?

    Tft Monitor

Looks good to me. I want a widescreen TFT. I was looking at the Dell 2000fpw which is 20", but is about £200 more. So you might have to assume that the Acer screen was a not very good for whatever reason. From that stats it looks OK, 8ms is good, so is 500:1. The only thing that is slightly bad is the analogue input, most monitors will give you a digital input (DVI) too. Although if you can't use it (And with a GeForce2, you probably can't), there's not really any point in worrying about that. I would look up some reviews for it, because I can't see any reason why you shouldn't go for it
  10. Cheers for your thoughts. I ain't going 1060, no chance. So perhaps I will just get the good old +25, maybe even +15 or something. I don't think I really want to spend £400 on an experiment either How long is your bike Steve?
  11. I need to find out how long the wait is. I am quite happy with the geometry of the Ashton, but it's got a crack As for the geo, I think I'm going to go shorter than the one I had before. Although I am not 100% sure on that. As with anything, it is a compromise, a shorter one is nicer for techy stuff, long better for gaps etc. But I think I am having more fun on the shorter bike. Dunno, it's really hard to say. I can't decide
  12. I think Apple are the company, and Macs are the computers
  13. That was awesome. Ta very much. Makes me want to go snowboarding even more though
  14. This topic is just full of crap. Unless people have ridden both frames, I don't see how they can comment. Especially with stuff like that ^^^. There's only about 2 decent replies in the whole topic (This isn't one of them, I know ).
  15. Any thoughts on what BB rise on a 24" frame would be like? Obviously most have a bit of rise (25mm), but what about, say, +50mm? Pros, cons etc. I'm gonna order a(nother) Leeson fairly soon and I'm just thinking about geo. At the moment, I'm thinking 1030 ish, maybe slightly less, 72/73/74 (undecided), and just wondering about BB rise. I think I should probably stick with what I know and get a normal rise, but I'd definitely like to try a 24 with BB rise. So yeah, any thoughts?

    Chains!

Mosh, perhaps I missed this, but where did your chain break? On the split link or elsewhere?
  17. Again, it's a laptop.

    Leeds Ride

The music was alright, but could have done with some bike noises I reckon. And too much dirt at the end, it was boooring. Oh, and how come the video is REALLY washed out? Was it taken on a digital camera or something? Apart from that it was good.
  19. Is SP2 definitely installed? That should sort out your USB troubles really. I didn't think motherboards needed drivers for their USB ports. Rob, your should have got a disk that came with the computer with drivers and stuff on it, have a look for that. If not, you may have to hunt around on the manufacturer's website.
  20. I think you just need a +20mm adapter to run a front brake on the rear, you don't have to make your own adapter. But why bother anyway? You can get discs with either hand lever. What you need is a rear disc witha right-hand lever. Like I said the Avid will work fine, but you can get Hopes etc with the right-handed lever too.
  21. Avid Juicy 7? They come with flippable levers so you can buy a rear and put the lever on the right (I guess that's what you're after?). Beware of buying a front disc to put on the back, as the mounts are in a slightly different place on frame/fork, hence a front 180 disc has a different caliper to a rear 180 disc.
  22. It's a laptop Say "yes" to Fixmbr, otherwise it won't do anything. It won't wipe any of your documents or anything like that
  23. Pipes are only stronger than a rod for a given weight though. A full disc isn't going to be weaker, but it probably won't be much stronger and it would be a lot heavier. Like I said, breaking discs is not an issue*. *see above
  24. Put the Windows XP CD in and restart the computer boot into that (wait for ages), and then select the repair console. I haven't done this for a while, but there are various commands that you can try. FIXMBR might be the first one I would try
