  1. Well worth the download, if only to see the silly giant throwing normal-sized people over a high jump bar
  2. Yay, go Mike. That was cool. I loved the sidehop skid
  3. Potentially it's a lot faster than just one card. However at the moment it isn't really cost-effective unless you need the best graphics performance out there. For value, you're best off buying one single card.
  4. I'm very surprised that someone who runs a hifi shop (must be a bit of an audiophile?) thinks wmas are ok. Even I can tell they're wank, my ears are full of wax and crap.

Chapters would surely be a piece of piss? Just chop it up in Premiere/FCP and then export each chunk and load them all into iDVD and give them each a label. I don't see why that wouldn't work.
  6. You can run OS X on an Athlon, yes. I've done it on my computer. It had loads of driver issues, but I think if you spec'd a PC around it, you could probably resolve most of them. But it's not just Linux really. That's kind of like saying WindowsXP is just DOS underneath. It's based on Unix, but it's far from open source And I think the reason Apples are ace is because they only allow OS X to run on the proper hardware. It's kind of an all-in-one solution that works really well and the hardware and software are optimised for each other. You will, apparently, be able to run Windows on the new Macs. Throw away your PC
  7. That's as good a reason as any to dislike PCs. Have you ever used OS X? I don't think anyone got owned. My sister has a creative and it broke 3 times. I had a creative and it was big and clunky and not very nice to use. IMO iPods are the best MP3 players out there. Not just in terms of feature set (I'm sure some far-eastern rip off will win here because it can play wma or something), but in terms of general niceness they are just really nice. I don't have one by the way, in fact I have a Creative (256 thingy).
  8. WTF how come you have so much money to spend on Macs?
  9. Yeah, should be a total beast. But it's basically just a Powerbook pimped a bit. Why not call it a Powerbook Pro? They haven't even changed the case. But will it come with a shitty intel sticker?
  10. Hmm. It damn well better not be 4 times faster than my Powerbook It ain't cheap though (£1429). I hope they will be releasing some other shit too at Macworld, we all knew this was coming. Macbook Pro is a bit of a crap name though
  11. Awesome, didn't realise you have that clip

I'll take one, assuming you're gonna do a menu and split it up into chapters

    Anyone Help?

Pffft, 39º isn't high. Mine is at 50. No need to worry until it's hotter than about 65-70º. Admittedly 50 is hotter than I would like, but I can't be arsed to sort it out. Certainly 39 is nothing to worry about - There's no way it could be causing this problem...
  14. PC cards aren't really available any more. They are NOT the same as PCI-Express by the way. You can just buy a cheap AGP card that has dual outputs - I had a Radeon 9200LE (About £25) and even that had dual outputs, I think one was DVI, one analogue. So instead of trying to find an old PCI card you may as well get a cheap AGP graphics

    Local Skaters

I don't think I've seen anyone land a kickflip, but I'll take your word for it. Maybe the kiddies go home in the evenings and the decent skaters come out.

    Local Skaters

It's a heartagram Any "skaters" I bump into in Manchester are basically obnoxious wankers who are just kids that want a place to chill. I'm sure there are some sound ones too, but they're mostly just kids that can't ollie. Or maybe I'm getting old

    Anyone Help?

Is that after it's been running for a while?
  18. Thank f**k someone said it. It's obviously just one of those tragic things. People die from cancer every day - There doesn't have to be someone to blame. Of course no blame = no claim, which is unfortunate in this day and age considering people love to sue each other.

    Online Gaming

If you've got a hacked version then it won't work on any online games. Don't be such a cheapskate

He's already tried Speedfan which says his CPU's at 112ºC, but that can't be right. Blowing a fan into the case won't do anything if the heatsink isn't seated properly. Check that? But the BIOS should be able to give you a reliable CPU temperature

    Anyone Help?

Ubuntu when idling will run much cooler than XP, so it's more likely to overheat when in windows. Can you stress it in Ubuntu, do some Prime95 or video encoding or something (for a few hours)? Then you'll know if it's a heat thing. Sounds like might be (from what you've told me). Try reseating the CPU? When it restarts, go into the BIOS to see what temperature it's running at. There should be an option there (PC health or something).
  22. Yeah, you downloaded it from the wrong place I would imagine.

Really cool idea and nice riding. Good work. However I would say you want some music - You ain't Felix, you can't ride with no music I'm gonna watch it again. Oh and those hops backwards onto front wheel are really hard, I've been trying them for ages but I can't seem to get them. I'll have to watch you closely and nail them.
