Yeah, I think Adam was one of the first guys in the UK to use them, but the Yanks had been singing their praises for years before that. Although they don't really have Hope over there, I think we just assumed they didn't really know what they were talking about

I f**king hate Valentine's day. It's easily the worst day of the year. For those people with girlfriends/boyfriends etc it's just a shiteload of pressure (especially for us guys) to get everything right, and for those without girlfriends it's just a painful reminder that nobody loves them. Sucks.

It's probably a virus. Try ejecting the drive just as you switch the PC on. If there isn't enough time before it starts loading Windows, press del to enter the bios (or even just pause on your keyboard sometimes works) to give you some more time. If it works there then it's a Windows problem (I.e. a virus).

I'm Blue daba dee daba dow?

If you compressed it well, it would take up about 500Mb perhaps. Maybe less. But Or from the Apple Store for Education (Either online or at an Apple Store - London/Birmingham/Manchester) they're £200 (free delivery from the online store).

DVDShrink (Google) will copy whole (8Gb) DVDs to your computer, and compress them to fit on a 4Gb DVD-R. To compress to divx or whatever I dunno.

You bumped a thread that's a year old to add this?

Also, the 30Gb one is 11mm thick, and the 60Gb one is 14mm or something. It's a pretty big difference when they are next to each other (The 60Gb one is basically 30% bigger). So for pimp value, the 30Gb is best. And I dunno, I reckon I could fill 60Gb if I put all my music and videos on (easily in fact), but I only have the best music on there (I.e. no stuff I've downloaded but never listen to) and it takes up 15Gb. But some people will easily be able to fill 60gb, especially if they have lots of videos. And yeah, the video quality is nothing like a phone. It's couldn't be any better on that size screen, it's totally smooth and everything etc etc. File sizes aren't amazing though (~150Mb for an episode of Family Guy/Futurama etc), although I think you could probably change that.
-
I'd be surprised if it lasted 2 hours on videos. Seriously, it's really shite. For music it's probably more like 15 ish (which is I think what they claim?), but I've never tested it. This is for the 30Gb by the way, the 60Gb apparently has a better battery in it. Futurama on the train *** though

Head angle is probably more important that either of them. But seriously, I've never heard anyone use "stem overhang" - and certainly not in trials. Basically any decent trials frame will have geometry that is just about right for trials. We tend to talk in terms of stem lengths and head angles of the bike, which will essentially add up to the same thing. I wouldn't worry about your stem overhang anyway.

Good video really. Didn't like the music, but the riding was pretty good.

To be fair to Desire, you guys are being pretty disrespectful. I know Christianity isn't particularly cool, but it doesn't hurt to just leave people be, rather than mocking them for no particular reason. Desire raises a fairly good point - most people will leave you alone if you ask them. The exception would of course be Jehovah's Witnesses, who are generally a fairly difficult group. Just everyone chillax and let other people get on
-
Religion isn't really the point though. This whole cartoon thing is just a thinly veiled battle between (middle) east and west. Religion doesn't really come into it. This whole "us and them" thing is all part of the problem. Who cares what bit of land we're on, it's not like we own the f**king place. And to everyone that is complaining about "them" coming over and stealing jobs etc, how many of you have jobs or pay taxes? Until you do, you can't really have an opinion on this. Maybe when you grow up and get a job and some maturity you might see a bit more of the picture? Bah, I can't be arsed to carry on with this argument.

I know there's more than 45, hence the "( )" in my post. And why should I be able to do that stuff? This ain't no geography competition. I don't really understand what point you're trying to make. We should have a vote on here...

To get back on topic, Desire, do you think that aiming Christianity at us extreme sports types and clubbers is a good idea? As you can see, you've come across some stiff opposition here, do you think it's a waste of time, or a necessary thing to have to do? Just one question which is probably easier to answer from anyone who has even a slight knowledge of the Bible - Why does any Christian care whether other people believe in God? Or is it just like people on here feel the need to pimp their bike and recommend it to everyone on here, whether it's the best deal or not? Personally I think Christianity has its upside - I would love to lie on my death bed (hopefully not for a long while*) and truly believe that I'm going to a better place, but I just don't. Which is a shame, I can certainly see the advantages in thinking like that. But I don't think I could ever believe in the way that is necessary. Oh well. Hopefully by that time we'll have invented a cure for death *Thanks to science

No idea about that. I would say that anything that requires a bit of balancing (E.g. trials) is probably useful, but not that useful. You'll still need some lessons, controlling a snowboard is nothing like controlling a skateboard, really. But you should pick it up fairly quickly -

I dunno, I kind of agree with SpaceMunkee. I rate Morzine/Avoriaz and Les Deux Alpes (the other places I've been to) quite a lot higher, but I'm going back to VT hopefully so I'll see how I get on. Having said that when I went to VT, the park had hardly anything in it, and there isn't much off-piste stuff to be had. But I don't doubt that they've improved the park over the last couple of years - now everyone in Europe is taking up snowboarding. So it should be better this year And to anyone taking the piss with acemazing sarcy comments, why? That's some pretty good boarding, and it's better than 95% of the people on the forum could do. And I like watching boarding so I'm glad he posted it. -

No, he's not sponsored. Are you? -
Awesome. I did have a look for Cillit Bang, but I don't think we have any. It's all working now. For anyone that was wondering, it's one of these badboys Tyco Rebound. It's gotta be at least 11-12 years old. Needed a few fixes (the control was damaged too), but it's ace now
-
I got it all fixed with a combination of sandpaper and the harshest acid known to man - Coca Cola All good, now I have another remote control car to play with.
-
The only reason I don't want to do that is because the terminals are pretty thin and they look a bit fragile. So I'd rather use chemicals if I can.
-
1 minute reply? Blimey. Erm, I'm not sure if I have any cillit bang. I'll go have a look.

I need to clean some crap off the terminals of a remote control car. It's very old and I'm trying to breathe some life back into it. Anyway, the battery has leaked and there is blue crystal stuff all over negative terminal. The other one looks OK. If I bypass the terminals with some ghetto tape + wire on the battery, it works fine, so this is the only problem. The battery is a NiCd, if that's of any use. Basically I want to remove this blue crystal stuff from the electrode. Is there anything lying around the house that will do this for me? Thanks
