    Toxsin 24"

There is definitely something about Leesons and wanting to be ridden. Maybe it is the springyness of the steel. I seem to remember that Ali's Global Ti rode similarly, really nice feel. Maybe boon was right all along, steel is reel B) I'm not sure I really see the point in a 24" trials-specific frame, but I guess that it would be better than firing out another long low 26" frame :ermm:
  2. Bear in mind that most students have a computer, and the only thing they will actually use for any kind of university-related activity will be MS Office (or similar). It would be worth buying if you were gonna use it all the time. Except for the fact that you can get Open Office for free.

Ping = The time it takes (in milliseconds) for you to send a bit of data to another computer and get a reply. So basically if your ping is 25, it takes 1/40th of a second (0.025s) for a message to get to the server and then back. Lower is obviously better

    Ink Cartridges

I need some ink cartridges for my Epson R200, and the official ones are really expensive. Does anyone know of any internet shops that do cheap ink cartridges? Preferably avoiding eBay...
  8. I don't really go with that - Sidehops don't need any "forwards" which you obviously do need for gaps. I reckon start by trying to hop from back wheel to front wheel just on the ground. When you can do that nicely, start trying to put a pedal in. Also whilst you're learning I would just try it on flat ground until you get confident.
  9. I'm using the Heatsink Konigs at the moment and they are the same as that, but the wear rate is good. I think in my case it's just when the pads are bedding in they lose material very fast, but once they're bedded in they are fine.
  10. The thing is, you say you ain't a chav, but you say you have a "gang". I bet you wander round the streets at night causing trouble, or manage to get yourself into trouble somehow (I bet it's not your fault though...). Whether or not you are trying, I bet you and your "gang" are very intimidating to some people, and that's just plain chav. It's people like you who make some parts of this country feel really unsafe to walk around. Don't try and justify it. If I'm wrong and your "gang" is inside playing Warhammer every evening then I apologise.
  11. I use a smooth Sun RhynoLite 24" if that's any help?

    Which One?

Get it. They're nothing like the micro ones (which are pretty notorious for breaking), and they're good. I have the 256 version and it's all you would want really. It's just really small and works well. I've not had any problems with it, and neither has my friend who has it too.

    Software Help

Is it a laptop? Laptops usually put themselves to sleep after a few minutes I think. Go on start, control panel, power settings. And check that sleep, shut hard disks off etc are all set to "never".

That is acemazing, I love that shit.
  17. I hate squeakers. They just don't work for me (Y) I am pretty confident that I'm far enough forward (I can do backwards nose rolls fine, so I know where the balance point is), I just always fall off to the side. The most I can do is 4 before falling off. But yeah, if anyone's got some awsome tips, post 'em here.
  18. I'm not sure I'm 100% converted just yet. I still have my PC, which I've not used much since I got my iBook. But that might just be 'cos I like the novelty of being on TF whilst simultaneuosly being in the living room watching TV. It's just that Apple laptops are loads better than PC laptops. As for desktops I'm not 100% convinced, but Macs are still really nice.
  19. They ain't that expensive though - the Mac mini is £360, and would be a great PC for probably 90% of people. The other 10% being gamers. Having said that, most people would be fine with a PC running Linux (free), but people never sell that...
  20. IMO Mac OSX is nicer than WindowsXP for sure. It's just got some really nice features that make it look really nice and easy to use. And it is, anyone could get used to OSX within a day or so, Windows is a lot more complicated. Apparently the PowerPC CPUs that macs use are a bit shit though, when macs start using Intels (next year) they will rock. There are a lot of plusses about macs, I don't see why only 4% of people use them.
  21. Cool, Microsoft suck. Apples rule.

  23. As far as I know, it's more of an image manipulation/retouching/production software, as opposed to photoshop which is more a drawing/creating program, before anyone says they're the same. Quite how you can say that Microsoft is worse when they don't even make anything like this, I don't know.
  24. I have some Sennheiser mx510s and they aren't anything special at all. But I dunno, the more expensive ones might be better...
  25. Loving that first one Raub :P
