    Silly Laws

A policeman is obliged to find a pregnant woman a toilet, if she needs it. If he cannot find the woman a toilet, he must give the woman his policeman's helmet, for her to piss into...

It's all very well clicking on links, but unless you sign up, you have not been "referred". Therefore there's no point. I *think* you have to get 16 separate people to sign up and pay for something. No mean feat, that's for sure. If you do it though, you probably deserve the iPod :P
  4. You say that, but I have tried pushing my allen key in further - It doesn't happen. Not with my bolt anyway. At least not without the help of a drill :o
  5. Depends on the camera. Probably not. Does it have a USB port on it? Even if it does, the quality won't be as good. Plus with Firewire you can control the camera via the PC, which is useful for editting. Just get a firewire card :o

The TOS are very dodgy... I'm not too hopeful, however: Click here if you like me! Click here if you don't!

  8. Yeah, but what I meant was that people with wider rims can get away with less air in their tyres, so maybe that's why they pinch more often? But yes, Maxxis = T3h B3st!!!1!1
  9. That's a bit of an odd thing to say - They've only been out a couple of months!
  10. Wider rim - less tyre folding - you can run less pressure - more pinches?
  11. You can get tension with a good spring. In my experience the official DMR springs are too soft - they bend too easily. The V-brake spring sorts that though. The main problem is the bolt though. If you can undo the bolt, you can adjust the tension. If the bolt is cheesed, you can't adjust the tension easily at all :P
  12. As much as I hate the way my DMR thingy doesn't actually tension, I love the way you can land on it, and it's so small that it must be nearly impossible to get the leverage to actually bend the hanger. Yesterday I did a grind (unintentional) on it and nothing happened :P It would tension if 1) It had a good bolt and 2) It had a good spring. I've changed the spring though for a V-brake spring, which works really well.

Yeah, this really f**king annoys me. If you're bothered about scratching your frame and making it look shit, then sticking a big ugly black thing over it does NOT help.
  14. I know what you mean. But St. Patrick's day is all about the alcohol. For some reason, the Irish seem to be intrinsicly linked with alcohol. If St. George's day was about drinking, I'm sure people would "celebrate being english" more (Y)

Nice vid. Was a bit annoying at the start, cutting out before you went for the move, the whole first bit was a bit pointless, as you showed all the same stuff (in full) later. Anyway, how does a 13 yr old afford an XTP? (Y) Oh, and sucks about the finger, get well soon (Y)
  16. Go on then (Y) You're only gonna find out by trying. My prediction - There's probably not enough clearance. But try it, don't just talk about it!
  17. The Usual Suspects (Kevin Spacey is amazing. See also; American Beauty. But American Beauty is a bit rubbish in places. However the main characters are just so well directed) The Godfather (Part I especially) Fight Club Cidade de Deus (City of God) - Someone called it "the Brazilian Goodfellas", which is quite apt. Cool film. LA Confidential - I've not seen Romper Stomper, but surely this has to go down as another fine piece of acting by Russel Crow. And it's got Mr Spacey in it, can't be bad... :)
  18. No, they came and towed it at 1:30 at night (waking me up). Pretty random time to be working as a salvage kinda person. But I didn't get a chance to ride on it properly. Obviously our house has a bit of a reputation in the criminal community - it's an ideal place to dump abandoned cars on (We have an empty gravel plot next to the house) - Two days ago another stolen car got dumped on it. There was a police car sat watching it, to make sure it didn't get burnt. Good thing too - it was about 3 ft away from the house :-
  19. Or get a CD head unit that has a line-in. Run that into the glove box, and then plug the zen micro or whatever into it. That way you get the best of both worlds, you can also play CDs. Or buy a CD player that can play CDs with MP3 on. That way you just need to burn the MP3s onto a CD (as plain MP3 files), and the CD player will play them. Should be able to fit around 700mins of music onto one CD-ROM in that way (I.e you can put all your music onto 10-15 blank CDs). I've got a head unit that will do that. I bought it for £50 from Aldi, of all places. Probably not the most powerful of things, but car audio is shit anyway :-

If the 4 bolt mounts don't work, get a new frame. Surely that would count as a manufacturing defect?

I think he's just on about making a big-ass extension cord, basically. I.e. it just plugs into one of the sockets in the house? Maybe I'm wrong though :)

I knackered my BB threads in my frame, once :) I tend to tell people it was a dodgy thread on the (Second hand) BB :-"
