Hehe, with a lot of practise - I LOVE geometry wars. But it's not too hard. I can't get the surf achievement in waves, now THAT'S impossible!

I reckon LittleBigPlanet looks awesome, but I have heard that it gets a bit dull after a while which I can imagine might be true. I suppose it depends on whether it'll get some awesome levels for it. Otherwise it'll just be another rubbish platformer. I miss the days of really awesome platform games, like old school Mario and Sonic (Mental note- get a Wii and play Mario Galaxy). Oh, and can I just say: PGR4 is ace. I only got a few weeks back but it's awesome! It doesn't have amazing graphics really, but the car handling is just sooooo good. I feel like I must share this with everyone.

I bet that's pretty painful! Anyway, get well soon

And just as safe, in most cases. I hate Paypal.

Who doesn't have Paypal these days? Besides, you don't actually need a Paypal account to pay, just a card number.

Those kids are even more like bike facists than the TGS crew on here! Whilst I do agree that doing BMX stuff with big wheels is a bit pointless, the stuff on that video is way more than just BMX stuff. Like the tailwhip drops, the squeakers. I don't think I've ever seen such awesome backwards nose rolls by a BMXer either. The comments are funny though. It's quite disturbing the way that the first few comments are all about how you shouldn't wear a helmet on street. Especially after that Mike Aitken thing a week ago - He's probably not going to ride a bike again (or even walk...), after an accident that he would probably have walked away from if he'd been wearing a helmet. I can't see the logic there. Call it natural selection

Really? The navigation on iPods is really good. If you get a stereo which controls the iPod, it'll be 100x worse, I promise you (I have an Alpine HU in my car which controls the iPod and it's horrible to use). There are hundreds of iPod docks to choose from which will just take the sound from the dock - you still choose the song etc on the iPod which is much better. Like JM said - I would just go for a cheap(ish) stereo with aux in, and then an official iPod dock (± remote). You should be able to get it for around £100, especially if you go second hand on the stereo. And this way it probably won't be made from white plastic

This is a good point. If you go on other forums, people will join up with fake names, offer some things for sale and then simply disappear with the money (I know, it happened to me ). The people who scam on here are just 15 year old knobs who are either too lazy to post stuff off, or they think they can get away with taking people's money. I don't really know of any cases on TF where the scammer has simply disappeared, and in most cases they've already been a member for a while.

I found the PS3 control really quite strange, it seems too light to me. I guess it's a preference thing, but the xbox ones feel right to me, they're certainly not too heavy (and I have the wrists of an 8 year old girl).

I have Word in my Dock, I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be using? Open Office isn't really good enough yet.

At least I can see Flickr. And pron. And drugs.

Yeah I drove past Asda the other day and thought the sign was broken, showing all 9s
-
And that, ladies and gentlemen, was the most old-manish post in the history of TF! Much love bongol

Nope, both the premium and elite (and the arcade I think) can do HDMI output. But only the Elite comes with the cable. I think both come with component cables though. And obviously the hard drive. And don't forget that the premium one has to be white. To be honest the hard drive isn't that much of a big deal. I've had mine for around 6 months and I've filled up about 30Gb out of the 120Gb hard drive. That's mostly demos and stuff I could delete (but I might as well keep since I don't need the space). So yeah, 20Gb is fine I'm sure.

It doesn't really matter. If you need wifi, then factor that into the cost of the 360. If you want to watch Blu-rays then obviously the PS3 has an advantage. I don't know about the PS3 but the xbox online and marketplace is really cool. Just take your pick.

That's what I was going to suggest. A very cool idea though! One other thing - I'm not sure about the 'Photography with added caffeine' line. Doesn't seem to make any real sense unless I'm missing something?

Let me answer that with a quote: By that exact logic you could argue that computer mouses (mice?) should only have one button... Two finger scrolling is awesome. It's just so natural and obvious, you have to wonder why no one thought of it before. I have to say that I am a bit sceptical about the three and four-finger gestures though, but you don't have to use them! For some people they will be useful, for others maybe not. Personally I think using four fingers on a trackpad might be a bit awkward. Also not convinced by the idea that the trackpad itself is a button, but I haven't actually used it so I'd find it hard to comment on that.

What a truly awful thing to say

Sorry, against the rules.

Is everyone excited? I'm looking at you here, Dave

What's the capital of Iceland?

Yeah that sounds like a driver issue or perhaps the hacked version doesn't have all the X11 files installed. Either way that sort of crash has never happened to me. Is it workable though Kris? I would like to put OS X on my PC, but I never get round to it. I think I would miss media centre (which is basically all I use the PC for).
-
Er, no? Besides the fact that the idea of a computer race sounds really gay, I said that it was faster for me. I don't know why you think I would lie about something like that? Can I ask you a question? Why do you think I like OS X? Let me guess. You are thinking one of the following... 1) Because I'm too stupid to operate a normal computer 2) Because I'm like a 2 year old child distracted by pretty animations 3) Because it allows me to feel smug about myself Any advances on any of those options?

He should have checked it for cracks as soon as he received it. If he's had it for a couple of weeks and the forks have snapped today, he doesn't really have a leg to stand on. Mind you, if you had an inkling that the forks were cracked, I'd say you should probably throw some money his way. That's probably a choice for your conscience
