  1. O2 won't budge on iPhone tariffs - I've argued. You can speak to CPW/O2/Apple and they will all give you EXACTLY the same answer, they can't / won't change any of the prices. Even for extras like insurance, they won't alter their prices. I reckon Apple must be really screwing O2 on price. I also wondered about getting the £45 tariff for 9 months, to get a free phone, before reducing it. However, I know that I'm stupid and I would forget to reduce the tariff, so I just went for the £35 one which has enough minutes/texts for me. I suppose if you thought you might use the extra minutes you get on the £45 tariff, then go for it. Just make sure you don't forget to reduce it! Just check that the £35 tariff you have is the same as the one you're going on to. Because the iPhone tariffs are different as they include free data. So just check it has enough inclusive minutes etc.
  2. Wow, you'll make a brilliant pensioner.
  3. The Daily Mail have a lot to answer for - even MORE than they did before trying to ruin the careers of Russell Brand & Jonathan Ross. I can kind of see the point of THAT thing (Even if it was blown out of all proportion), but this is laughable. I'm sure Clarkson has said a great number of far more offensive things in the history of Top Gear. I look forward to Clarkson's retort on Sunday...
  4. I thought there were other kinds of music, but it turns out I was wrong. Apparently the only thing other than D&B is generic pop music. I'll just go listen to white noise.
  5. You're "gutted"? I think you should save that particular emotion for when someone close to you dies or something. Anyway, thanks for sharing
  6. Whoa whoa whoa. I think you might have just ruined the second season of 24 for me?! Anyway, what a picture. Just shows how badass he is, WSJ in one hand, knuckle bump with the other.
  7. Yeah, it must be. Wikipedia says so!
  8. Longest name in the world? Nah. Pablo Diego José Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno María de los Remedios Cipriano de la Santísima Trinidad Martyr Patricio Clito Ruíz y Picasso (AKA Pablo Picasso)
  9. Is it time to post a dog in fancy dress? I hope so, I've been waiting all day to use this beaut.
  10. The only thing there that's worth anything is the camera body. The rest of the stuff is just tat that's there to make you think you're getting a bargain. I don't know what the 50D should cost, but that deal doesn't sound A-mazing?
  11. Yeah, to be fair I thought that might be the case, haven't tried the Diamond. It looks nice though. If it could run a better OS (Android?!) then it would be worth considering, as it's a lot cheaper than the iPhone. I just hated Winmob with a passion and the iPhone presses all the right buttons.
  12. I dunno, it's not the features that make it awesome, it's the implementation. My Windows phone would do all that stuff, but it was horrible to use and I just got pissed off with it all the time. The screen was unresponsive so typing out texts took twice as long as it should have because you have to go back and correct the mistakes. Half the time you could use your finger, half the time you had to use the stylus. The iPhone takes all the hate stuff and turns it upside down so it's actually good to use. WTF, that's rubbish. I never shut my Powerbook down, I only sleep it when I'm not using it. I occasionally restart it for software updates, but that's it. A laptop without the ability to sleep? Pfft.
  13. Already have one. It's ace. The battery life is bad if you're used to a normal phone which can do 4-5 days. It'll do a day comfortably, but probably not 2 (unless you switch it off at night or something, which I don't). But that's about the same as my last phone (Windows Mobile) and a lot is to do with how much you use it. I can get my email, browse the web, use it as an iPod, play games, check the stock markets (?!) which means I'm using it twice as much as I would use a normal phone. So I'm happy with the battery life. It's my new favourite thing, I think it's brilliant. But I am already aware that I'm harping on about it to everyone so I'll stop Yes, they are.

Well that depends if you like platformers or not I suppose. I do.

I think the main thing is that it's got a massive level editor so anyone can make a level and upload it. So there should be thousands and thousands of levels for it.
  16. Hopefully this will work - It's a zip file of the various rings that came on my old phone. Ring-Standard is probably closest to what you need. I'm afraid they're WMA files (Stupid windows mobile) so you'll have to convert them to MP3 if your phone can't use WMAs as a ringtone. ring.zip
  17. Yeah that's the most annoying thing ever Adobe (I think) only have American English as an option. Never had any problems with Mac stuff, perhaps it's different on Windows. But yeah, that really pisses me off too when it happens.
  18. A triumphant return to form.
  19. Shit, that's not good. Thoughts to all the family and friends of course.

What I don't understand is where Farcry/Crysis/Farcry 2 fit together? I thought Crysis was basically FarCry2?
  21. Just make sure it's all legit. Buy it through the Adobe site or Amazon or wherever, just not from eBay or some random shop you never heard of. There are people who sell boxed copies of Photoshop for cheap on eBay and they're just pirated copies that cost you £100.

    Google Chrome.

I do agree about the Beta thing but Gmail has been in beta... forever? And there's no signs of changing that any time soon. As for the websites, isn't chrome based on the same software as Safari (Webkit)? So it should render the same.
  23. I have occasionally thought about paying for Photoshop. I mean, I use it quite a bit and it's a fantastic piece of software. If I was doing graphics or photography and was using it every day, I wouldn't hesitate to pay the £160 for it.
