He might be mine, too, but let's not inflate his ego too much. He's a dick in real life

Oh arse. Sorry - Fixed now though. There used to be a 'Jerry' emoticon on here but it's gone, that would have been the perfect opportunity to use it. Ooooh, I just though of an annoying thing - excessive emoticons. Although that doesn't seem to happen so much recently

Hehe, nice one Mark. This thread just got interesting

Circus, I suspect the feeling is more than mutual from a lot of people

Ooooh, I've got one! Regardez: A dyslexic walks into a bra. Ha! Ithankyou  I will be here all week.
-
First off - no offense intended to those with dyslexia! But I read something a while back about how having dyslexia is really no different to just being a bit shit at writing. If you take someone with a low overall IQ and someone with average IQ + dyslexia, they will perform similarly in tests of writing, spelling etc. The difference is that those with dyslexia may be gifted in other areas such as maths, art etc. But I have to admit I don't really know what the current 'consensus' on dyslexia is. There's some medical student who has just taken her medical school to court because her dyslexia apparently makes multiple choice exams harder, so apparently the school are putting her at a disadvantage. I presume she also finds other things hard, like writing prescriptions and making patient notes. But who cares about that? We have to be fair to everyone now... Madness if you ask me.

They're just as adjustable as any other frame. Obviously air shocks are easier to adjust - you just put more air in rather than having to change springs - but that doesn't mean it can't be done. Plus air shocks feel pretty wank when you're pointing downhill, coil is waaay better. You might have had the wrong spring weight, but then again maybe not. The Stinky is very linear in its travel so it blows through the travel easily. Plus doing a 4 set is actually a relatively big hit by comparison to what you'd get on a lot of DH tracks. If you're not going to use all the travel, why have it? I aim to bottom out at least once a run. Otherwise how do you know you're using all the travel? But that's me Bah, I've already wasted far too much of my time in this topic. Just buy the carrera, I'm sure it's fine.

One thing that irks me is when people change their name (especially if they change their avatar at the same time) and I can't work out who it is. Mind you, I know I've been guilty of this in the past so I mustn't grumble

Apple airport basestations are so overpriced. The extreme one (I think) does wireless N instead of G which is faster but only if your computers are compatible with wireless N. If your iMac is relatively new, it might be (check the specs). The other computers / iPod won't be. It's all completely academic if you only plan on downloading stuff from the web though. Your internet is 2meg? Well even the 'slow' wireless G is 54 meg. The faster wireless N is 108 meg. Normal ethernet is 100meg, gigabit ethernet means 1000meg. My point is that if you're only ever using the internet, you will never come close to saturating the bandwidth of even wireless G. It would only be if you plan on streaming hi-def video or something across your network, or doing regular backups to a networked drive. Which you have said you're not doing, so there's no point in getting anything fancy. Just get any old netgear/D-link/Belkin wireless G router. If your brother is torrenting stuff or downloading lots of stuff, then yeah, it'll affect the speed of your connection. But not if he's just loading web pages etc.

That's totally stupid. I don't see how he causes "99.9%" of problems when he can't even get on to most of the forum. Posting here where he can't reply is unbelievably childish. You're about this far >-< away from joining him in NMC.

What an odd thing to say...
-
Yes, I was talking about TGS videos, not natural videos. Obviously.
-
Yet all you ever see in videos is people starting on flat ground, from their rear wheel, going up to a flat wall to both wheels.
-
Yeah but 'street' doesn't have to be about doing TGS. When you ride street there's loads of stuff you can do to make it more interesting. Ups to narrow walls, rails, sloping objects etc. All those TGS bummers ride boring street. They could amuse themselves for hours on a gradually sloping wall from 10" to 60", that's dull.
-
Hay everyone stop arguing please.
-
Clearly you never visited the Trialskings forum in the days of old, or TF in its early days. Every other thread was an argument of street vs natural. I don't think anyone is trying to take anything away from the big TGS street riders. They do what they do, presumably because they like it, and are good at it. It's impressive to watch, even if it's not pure trials. They're taking things to extremes so they need to 'tuck' to get that extra inch and harsh riding is something that inevitably happens when you go so big. The annoying people are the ones who just follow the TGS trends of drop gapping, tucking, and riding harshly when they're not going particularly big. And then come on here saying how great TGS is, and how old-school street riding is stupid. You know who you are. Although you probably didn't bother to read this far into my post. Ultimately, I don't really care. If you enjoy something, carry on.

I would have thought that most people just wear what they wore to the ceremony. And I'm guessing most people will have gone to the ceremoney? Why not just take the suit - pretty easy to get rid of the jacket and/or tie / top hat if it's too formal.
-
To carry on the analogy, I think the real issue is people calling somthing red when it's mauve. Mauve being a horrible, boring colour. Red is cool and interesting!
-
Good word. Props. Don't get me wrong, I sort of like the idea of riding a fixie. In some circumstances. Just don't buy one with the aim of looking 'cool' because that's stupid.
-
Brilliant. This is only part of the reason why you come across as a comeplete jebend.
-
I find that a slightly strange way of insulting street riders. Surely "S" riders look more like circus freaks? "Roll up, roll up! See the amazing rubber boy who can jump his bike up a huge wall! Look at him contort himself! The SidehopTuckBoy freak show!"
-
I dunno, I reckon that Summer Season would be slack. Slack head angles aren't great for jumping, and 66 degrees on a hardtail sounds daft (That's slacker than a lot of full on DH bikes). Purely on geometry, I'd go for the normal 456, but it would make sense to actually ask someone who has ridden the new one.
