  1. If you are going to be riding like you say: ...Then I wouldn't go for anything with a really high BB. High BB bikes tend to be very sidehop orientated really. For proper street like it sounds you're into, go for something a bit shorter (1060 max) with a lower BB (maybe +10 or whatever). Or 24"? As for shops, there are a few trials shops in America. This is the only one I can think of off the top of my head though: http://www.webcyclery.com/home.php I know Tartybikes will ship to the US but I'd imagine with a weak dollar it might not be worth buying from this country.
  2. They've both been suspended for a day
  3. I reckon Steve's bleed kits are probably better than the official ones - the syringe has a rubber bit so less air gets in. But to be honest they're much of a muchness - I wouldn't worry about which one. In fact if you can get hold of a syringe and a bit of plastic tube, jam that onto one of the magura barb things that's the right thread size, you've got a bleed kit. If not, just get the heatsink one.
  4. Agreed on all counts. You both need looking at if you think that sort of thing's funny.

    Tf Awards

Yeah that's not right. Are you sure it wasn't a body fat measurement? 11.5 is pretty much incompatible with life, let alone riding a trials bike.
  6. Yeah, the only reason that would ever be true if it's a really old mac. Macs had firewire before PCs but Apple didn't like the USB standard as much, so I think some of the older (G3?) Macs only had one USB bus with limited backwidth. But if it's a modern mac then it's complete shite

    Firefox Help

It shouldn't matter what your homepage is, that will make no difference. Perhaps if yahoo is the default search (little icon to the left of the search box, to the right of the address bar, should have a G in it for Google) that might make a difference, wouldn't have thought so though.
  8. Yeah but that was barely even a gap, it was more a drop a front wheel. Pretty silly, but kinda cool - I've never seen it before.
  9. On the subject of morse code, did you know the start of Beethoven's fifth symphony, translated into Morse code is V, which is obviously latin speak for the number 5. I think V for Vendetta taught me that. BUT Beethoven wrote the 5th symphony and indeed died before the invention of Morse code. So it's just a coincidence. The way he acts and constant references to being gay aren't obvious enough? Actually, I have another fact about Steven Fry - he's a real geek and writes a blog about smartphones. http://stephenfry.com/blog
  10. I think a virtual high five is in order. Don't leave me hangin' bro.
  11. I've never seen Peep Show, but I still knew it would be Harvey Danger. Everyone thinks that song's by Green Day.

    Alcohol Units

It's 10ml of pure alcohol (ethanol) which weighs almost exactly 8g as alcohol is less dense than water. Obviously you have to adjust that for the alcohol concentration of different drinks.
  13. The link doesn't work properly. Do you mean the Mission ones? If so, I'd be worried that they were in the wrong place. V-brake bosses have to be lower than mag mounts - if you look at the heatsink v-daptors you can see this. I reckon with these Mission ones, the mount would be too high to use a V-brake - the pads would hit the tyre not the rim. Of course this depends slightly on what frame you're using.
  14. I thought the no-VAT-on-Jaffa-Cakes thing was just a happy coincidence? Otherwise surely all the biscuit manufacturers would just call their products cake instead? EDIT: Booyah: It even proves my other point about cakes going hard http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jaffa_Cake#Urban_legend
  15. No, Macs will always be compatible with Fat32. The only time it's an issue (I think) is when the drive has a Windows NTFS partition on it as well as the Fat32, and an NTFS MBR. But if it's just a normal drive, all Fat32, there's definitely no incompatibility.
  16. Maybe he is actually a gay. Sounds pretty weird but I certainly wouldn't confront her with that evidence. She hasn't done anything, and you're the weird one who read her private emails...
  17. Haha, I've not heard pigeon roll before. Or wodge. I'm guessing that's like a wedge but different?! Spill the beans Adam
  18. No, because biscuits go soft when you leave them out, cakes go hard. That's why Jaffa cakes are cakes and Hobnobs are definitely biscuits.
  19. Have I been told that before*? Dunno why I thought they were 24". Maybe because of the name? EDIT: * I just searched, and yes it's true. Back in 2006, I made the same assumption. You have a good memory MonkeyBoy At least i got the modstock bit right.
  20. They're fairly long for a 24 - I think about 1060. Geometry is supposed to be OK, but it's obviously a fair bit longer than normal 24s. Bear in mind that I think they have silly 110mm rear dropouts (modstock).

    Why Inches?

Regardless of the point that Benjaminge made, that's only because you understand inches and you're used to them.
  22. Yeah, like I said in that other thread: Haha.
  23. Yeah, that's where I got it from too.
  24. There's a lot of difference in getting Job Seekers' Allowance for a month or two while you look for a job, and being on it for 20 years, though.
