Im not saying there is anything wrong, just seems pointless really bringing out a 'trialsy' bike in a market full of street trials bikes. Fair enough if it catches on though.

Not much seeing as my mum and dad dont know whats what when it comes to bike parts, so I am asking for money to buy a Czar Ivan long in silver, a low rise echo stem and a cheapy headset. The only items I have asked for is some onza hognesium pedals which I have shown them and an electric razor (the triple bladed ones), any make or model.

I trust whatever parts I have had no problems with in the past ie koxx frames, middleburn cranks, zoo bars etc etc. I dont trust hope hubs anymore because I kept fecking the internals every few months. I like koxx bikes the most, they seem to suit my style and I think most of them look amazing too.

I go through stages of being bored and feeling as if my riding is going nowhere, but I stick through them and because of that I carry on getting better and better. Just stick with it, you will regret it if you quit because when you go back you will have lost your balance and strength (unless you go to the gym or play other sports) and will feel even worse about riding then before.

I am not a fan at all, there is something about making a UCI style bike 24" that I dont like. I suppose it would help for kids who need a medium sized bike but otherwise I dont see the point. Real 24 inch bikes are supposed to be streety and simple in my opinion as that is what they are designed for; street, not natural.

Ha ha nice one! I bet that would relieve any boredom, practicing that for hours.

I suggest adding some stickers, coloured ones would make it look much nicer. If you have the money, buy some coloured (anodized) components to make it look more colourful too.

Here is my baby, now with silver rear rim and forks; Hope you like.

I have had two maxxis tyres on the back, a minion super tacky and Im currently running a high roller super tacky. Both awesome tyres for street and natural. The minion does drag more on street though as people have mentioned. I run a try-all stiky tyre on the front which is a 2.1 and its awesome. Its currently bald and still has loads of grip in the wet, its light too. I think when these tyres a knackered Ill just get the same again, maxxis and try-all-top tyres. :P

Nice little video, I wish I had some natural like that to ride. :P

I bought the zoo bar and stem combo as soon as they came out, so I have been riding with them for a long while now. They feel amazing, I switched from brisa flat bars and they feel so much nicer and everything felt easier. They are a little scratched and have been through some abuse but are still going strong. get some. :P

Sweet video, nice to see some proper natural riding instead of all street stuff. When I am able to travel more freely I shall be visiting many more sweet natural spots. >_<

Bit random (but so is every other question in this thread) but was it yours or Vince's idea for him to start coming to Colorado every year? Did you email/ring him or something or did he get in touch with you? Do you learn a lot off him when he visits (trials wise)?

This is something I still dont understand, what is it about high bb frames that makes them hard for tapping, does the wheel hit too low/high, do you not get enough bounce from the tyre when it hits etc? Cheers for the replies though guys, really helpful. Oh and I like the look of the xtp, hence I like the look of the Czar. >_<

Right, as you may have seen from my other topics I am after buying a new frame very soon and considering I can only afford a new frame every year or so which do you think would be ideal for me? I have only seen one Czar bult up (not including the pictures on tartybikes etc) which was Joe Mahers and it looked pretty sweet, but now that loads of pictures of peoples new 06 pitbulls are cropping up I am tempted to get one of those too. I ride a t-rex at the moment and it has 0 bb rise and a 1080mm wheelbase, the Czar has 60mm bb rise and a 1100mm (long) wheelbase and the 06 pitbull has 50mm bb rise and a 1080mm wheelbase (long). I dont know whether the shock of 60mm will hinder my riding so the pitbull seems the best option, but i really cant decide, so I came on here. If you have/are getting the frame please post your opinions/suggestions here. Pics would be good too... Any advice much appreciated.

Lol how much film did you use before you made it!? Good effort though, your bike looks identical to Dan jones old pure.

Nice video, some good riding as usual. Nick manning was pulling some nice lines, a mixture of street and pure trials. :S

Awesome video, some huge riding. I dont know how you get the mindset to try some of those moves, I would just look at them and think no way! Even more inspiration for me to get a Czar, you seem to have no problem tapping a high bb bike! (Even though the Vinco does have 385mm chainstays).

I was once in your position, I had to adjust my gapping technique. I decided to try and pull up as well as across, and make sure you crouch down and preload before you gap, then you will get much further. To sum it up, heres a fairly old clip of me gapping that might help you get your technique how you want it. (I figured its on the internet why not use it again? Yes I am aware my tyre lands slightly on the grass); Gap Also, look at my even older topic here with many replies on gapping here Hope it helps :ermm:

It played music for me, it was some moshy stuff. Cool teaser, a little repetitive but looks OK. :P

Tes but I am perhaps beginning to think that the shock of going from a t rex with no bb rise to a Czar with 20mm more wheelbase and 60mm bb rise will be too much of a shock to do my riding any good. The XTP R has 40mm rise so I have heard, and Im not a heavy rider so I doubt Id break it. The only issue is the price, all the other koxx frames are very much overpriced!
-
I am very interested in the Koxx V-racing frame (XTP R). Anyone know how much it costs from Koxx UK?

Right, I have been saving up for a new frame and I was set on the Czar Ivan, but I keep hearing too many mixed views on frames with such high bottom brackets. People say that they roll over obstacles really well and feel so easy on the backwheel and to pull up for bunnyhops. However, many people have had a high bb bike for a couple of months then switched back because they are shit for going big on, taps and sidehops are apparantly harder. Because of this I have been put off the Czar, and now would only go up to around +30mm. There doesnt seem to be much on the market that doesnt have a high bb though, what shall I do? Ie whats your experiences of high/normal bb frames if you have had one? Cheers, a very mixed up Luke.

I get that to sometimes, when Im in lesson I start day dreaming about what I could ide in the room on my bike, its strange but you get used to it.
