  1. I've heard a lot of people complain about the new system, but mines been the same for almost as long as i can remember.
  2. You have to be a 'member' and not a 'new member'. I can't remember how many posts you need to become a member, I think it's 50. When you become a 'member' it'll say under your avatar.

    Karma

The problem is, when something happens, like just as you find your keys (good news) you get a text from the GF saying she can't get off work (bad news) you'll remember that because it was coincidental. However, every time bad news happens and good news follows a couple of hours later, it isn't a coincidental so you don't remember such event. So it seems like these things happen a lot, when it reality they don't. It's like people who think they're somewhat psychic because they 'just know' who's calling them on the phone before they answer, however when they hear the phone ring and think "that's my aunt" and pick it up and it's someone calling about a new phone plan, this get's ignored and forgotten. Selective memory. There's no karma. What about the murder who won the lotto 2 weeks after he got jail? What about babies who die at just a few days old?

    Freeganism?

Why don't they just lower the price down and sell this stuff for next to nothing? That's what we used to do at work. 10p kit-cat chunkies etc.
  5. I probably should have said residence free, considering no friction, air resistance, and no magnetic resistance either.
  6. If the machine was 100% friction free, the machine would only move if you applied a force to start with. Then it would work. However, if it was 100% friction free, you wouldn't even need the system, you'd just spin the wheel on the generator and it would spin forever. But going back to the floaty ball thing, even if friction was somehow dropped to 0.000000000000000000000000000000000000000001% friction (aka virtually non), it still wouldn't work. The energy crated from the ball floating up would be exactly equal to the energy needed to lift the balls into and out of the water against gravity, the less friction the system has, the longer it would take the system to come to a stop after than initial force.
  7. I don't see it as a selfish act, suicidal people feel depressed on a level where they want to end their lives the last thing they're going to do is consider what it might do to others, I guess the opposite could be considered if anything, the friends and family who do nothing providing they are aware of it. The problem is once a persons depression gets to that point, it doesn't even occur to them to rationally think that it could simply be a chemical imbalance solved by a couple of pills. What needs to be done is to make people aware of that so they can turn to psychiatrics / doctors before it overwhelms them.
  8. Minecraft can get really boring really quick if you don't play multiplayer. It's an amazing game though.

    Google Plus Invites?

My google+ wall is nothing but Hannah all the way down. I think I'll wait till it becomes a bit more popular.
  14. Well the problem is, one of the bikes discs is broken, and I'll only have a limited time to sell it. And it's in Whitby which isn't like anybodys going to come pick it up. Also, if I did buy a bike out here I'd have to spend $'s having the brakes switched around. I think what I'll do is take the bike to bits and take as much of it back with me as possible and mail the rest. Could probably take the wheels forks and bars and just send the frame and drive train, might be a great deal cheaper. Just don't want to be lugging a bike though Chicago airport again, nearly killed me, and that was only a mod.
  15. I know this question gets asked a lot, but never seems to get answered. I'm in 2 minds about selling my specialized, or bringing it over here. But I think it's going to be a bitch to sell and I actually rally like it. So does anyone know? Any companies? Links would be great. Is the cost of shipping mostly influenced by weight or size? I know I could go round searching myself, but I know I'll just end up spending hours looking a sites that either don't ship things to the USA and/or don't ship packages that big. Thanks!

    Trackball Mices.

I sit on the couch with my laptop, or on the bed, so I never have a flat surface.

    Trackball Mices.

I've been using this since forever, in fact for almost 9 years now and it's finally broken. Sometimes though, when playing games and such it can really get uncomfortable for the thumb. Anyone had any experience with something like this? How weird would it be to do all the clicking with your thumb?
  18. 1 drink = one glass of wine.
  19. You win a competition with your favorite alcoholic drink beverage company. CONGRATS! The prize is a lifetime supply of their product! But, like every competition that offers a lifetime supply of something, you don't get all you can drink. You're offered 2 options. Option number 1: You can have one drink every afternoon/evening. Must be consumed between 2pm to 5am. Option number 2: You can have 7 drinks in one afternoon/evening per week. Must be consumed between 2pm to 5am. You get to choose any afternoon/evening in that week, and you are allowed to change this day each week. One drink is classed as 1 pint of beer/larger/cider. Or if you prefer spirits/shots, a single measure. You must consume your drink/drinks between 2pm to 5am. Anything you have left at 5am is taken from you. You won the competition so only you are allowed to drink these drinks. Your drinks will be delivered to you where ever you are. You can only choose one option, and you cannot ever change. You'll keep getting your drinks until the day you die.

    16+ Banking.

I managed that too, I was told very specifically when i got my Solo card (kids version of a visa) that I could not become overdrawn. And then one day they changed up the rules without telling me. All basic no thrills current accounts are all the same. Free, you'll get a checkbook and a card and that's about it. Just pick the bank that's closest / most convenient for you.
  22. Ali, just noticed you wrote a reply to one of my posts inside my own quote which I missed. The reason I posted that video up was to try and show you relativity speaking you are doing the same thing as what Jeremy is doing. Yes I know there's differences, you've made them clear. But at the end of the day, you're doing an ad, you got paid to promote a product. I feel you think the difference between him and you are vast, when they actually aren't at all. Working with Victoria and being on BGT / AGT are two different things. And I didn't bring up the ad for any other reason other than to show that someone looking a different way at this could see you doing an add being much below being on a TV show. You're right, you never said anything about his riding style, I misinterpreted that, it was in defense of you calling his riding sketchy, which I agree it may have been. But there's no cuts or retakes on stuff like this, and a hell of a lot of pressure. I still, really don't see how this made trials look like a joke. I'd consider myself to be partially dyslexic. And I'm sure there's plenty of people who've had digs at me and people like Pete Wright's spelling possibly yourself included. But yeah I shouldn't be personally attacking someone in a discussion so I apologize. I don't have any issue with people saying that they don't like the dancers and all that stuff they have on these shows, that isn't my concern, demographics and what type of people etc etc. I only have issues is when people say "I'd rather he never went on the show at all". It's like me saying I wish the clan would never have existed because they show street trials and not technical comp riding. I mean they never use their pedals or bash or use dabs effectively. It's not real trials, even though that's what they're labeling it as, and they're going round polluting kids minds of what trials really is. No, this is not my opinion, actually the very opposite, but that's comparable to what Ali is saying towards people like Jeremy. I still haven't been convinced how anything bad could have come out of it for he community. Personally, 2 people have come up to me and talked about seeing trials on AGT and chatted out it with me, and that was just from the very limited riding I did last year. No one though what I was doing was a joke, people seemed genuinely interested, if all that's what Jeremy has done, sparking people's interest, then what's wrong with that?
