Busy at work then Nick?! In car related news, my “need to buy" list for the hybrid install has shrunk considerably. I've now got everything bar water meth injection. Getting excited now! Car is making nearly as much power now as it ever did, and that's just on actuator pressure on the hybrid turbo. Order the alloy pipework for the new intercooler routing, and due to an incompetant packing monkey, I have received 2x 90* bends and 1 45* bend, when I actually asked for 1x 90* and 2x 45*. They are sorting their error, and they dont want the extra 90* bend back, so I am an extra one of them up...which I think I will actually end up needing. Winner!

And then on Facebook "Unless somebody puts two grand in my hand between now and Sunday I'm taking it to Castle Combe on Sunday morning where it will be going to a friend of mine" ...you sure about that?

There is absolutely no way that will get on the ferry. My A3 wasn't anywhere near as low (or had as much projection as that), and I struggled like hell! ...better take your spanners

HID's run cooler than halogens! Like I say, my “cheap" ones were fine for two years with HID's. Just seems like a big waste of money!

I must admit, I wasn't a huge fan of the way it delivered power in Nick's...it was too much like an NA car for my liking. A blindingly quick NA car nonetheless, but I would rather a more punchy delivery. As we both know though, thats more down to the mapping than the turbo. Yay for rods though, thats a good plan. I love the peace of mind I've had since fitting mine. I can drive how I want, and not be crossing my fingers all the time!

I presume he sold to me because I gave him the money instantly, and he knew I wouldn't piss about. Not saying you would have, but I guess I was an easier option. I've also been badgering him ever since he got it to let me know when he got rid. Also, my car is cooler, so blates the better person to give it to P.S. Buy my turbo...£200. BARGAIN!!!

Its up for grabs Rbizzle. Turbo and (very slightly cracked, but easily fixed) Relentless V2 manifold for £300 ish. For a bit more, I can supply LCR injectors too once I get it mapped. DO IT!!!!

I made a spanner out of some cut up and bent bits...was still a faff! Not sure its really worth repairing in all honesty...the crack looks pretty big and terminal. Think the plate joining the runners did more harm than good

Yup, its a Rentless V2. They flow far better, but are made of thinner metal. I had a V3 before this, which was more durable, but didnt flow as well. Guess poor flowing and longevity is better than good flowing and short lived. Annoying, because it was a royal pain in the arse to fit...and that was with the engine out of the car on a stand. Not looking forward to soing it again!

I had no extra costs with an entirely stripped out interior. What's to say you hadn't just carted something messy around, and had to take the seats out anyway

Oh feck! Manifold has blown a hole on the weld, and cracked around the collector below it. Stuuuuuuuuuuuuupid car!
