  1. You make your own destiny. Respect is earnt, not a given right. You were a dick when you first joined this forum, so people don't trust you. Simples. Isitafox is highly unlikely to respond to you if you keep mocking him. Would you, if the tables were turned?! Take the hint. Any more insults, and you I will permaban you. As I said before, make a new for sale ad, and go from there...and stop whining like a little girl.
  2. They aren't your pictures Good lad though for getting on with it!
  3. Less picture taking, more fitting! Had these on mine for ages now. Love the difference the extra camber and castor makes. Coupled with my castor correction wishbone bushes, its a weapon in the corners now!
  4. Why would you have 3 brand new unused frames that you want to sell for far less than you supposedly bought them for? Seems very fishy to me. I would suggest you stop insulting people (especially moderators!), and maybe try writing the advert again (after reading the selling rules), and see how you go from there. If it gets locked again, then give up and try ebay or another avenue.
  5. Just be careful you follow the instructions I wrote to a T, or it won't work.
  6. Polybush mounts are awesome once they bed in. You just have to put up with vibrations for the first few hundred miles.
  7. So today my crank sensor died. The very day I move house. A bit frustrating to say the least!
  8. All I can say from this is ECU/coilpacks and fuel injection *** Sounds like its a good job you don't have an interference engine! Are there any marks on the actual crankshaft sprocket if you take the belt pulley off?
  9. I've bee(n) keeping an eye on this thread; I hive to say like what I see. Although it does seem to be (honey)combing to an end now.
  10. Thirded. I have Ferodo DS2500's on my Leon. When you are hooning it, and the brakes are skorching hot, they are awesome. However, for normal day to day driving, when there is no heat in them, they are worse than standard pads. Unless you are giving it real beans, stick with OEM fo' sho'. EBC pads went through a stage of the pad material coming away from the backing...I should think this was sorted fairly sharply, however, it seems to have been enough to discourage a lot of people from using them! "Performance" pads for £21 aren't going to be much cop
  11. A car dealer friend of mine has just bought an R33 Skyline GTR. Utter utter b*****d! Taking it for a spin on Friday...have a horrible feeling I may be part-exchanging the Leon!
  12. I had the Astra 1.9cdti sri 150. Bloody lovely car...had literally ever extra (leather, keyless entry and start, auto everything). Was REALLY torquey and nippy. Responded well to breathing mods too (removing the pre-cat, panel filter, derestricting the airbox etc). However, as Paul says, the gearbox was absolute wank. Had a brand new flywheel put on when I bought it, and that failed within 5k too. The gearbox casings are made from chocolate, and the bearing which holds 1st, 3rd and 6th ends up ovalising the casing...which means a new gearbox; not cheap! The gearboxes were made to withstand a maximum torque, which is the actual figure the standard engine gives out; there is no headroom whatsoever. Real shame, because like you say, with a remap they are absolute rockets (for what they are!). All that said and done, I'm fairly sure the Vectra uses a different gearbox (although still 6 speed), so you're probably ok on that front. Do abit more research though, the 16v 1.9cdti has a LOT of issues (EGR valve, inlet manifold swirl flaps and alternator to name a few). If you're prepared to potentially have to foot the bill for those, then go for it. Like I say, I loved mine (albeit being the XP kitted Astra, not the Vectra!), it was just a very expensive time bomb which had started to tick, and as much as I loved the car, it wasn't worth the £1800 bill it was going to cost in a few months. ...plus, I ended up back in a 1.8t, which I had dearly missed!
  13. SuperPro and Powerflex are the better ones...but obviously cost more. Pretty sure Robin has the cheaper ebay ones on his 'Rocco? SuperPro are purple, Powerflex are mostly yellow (although do a Black series), and the cheaper ebay ones are red. Made a big difference handling wise to mine...but that may have just been because the original bushes were shot. Sometimes just replacing with OEM bushes is enough. Polybushes tend to be a bit harsher and give cabin vibration until the bed in a bit (in the case of engine mounts at least). Certainly worth doing if its not a huge expense.
  14. Building engines isnt difficult at all. Just take your time and check everything is torqued to the correct figure, and all tolerences are within spec. Make sure you tighten stuff in the right sequence too (particuarly when attatching the head back on). When I did a complete rebuild, and fitted forged rods to mine, I found it almost thearapeutic. Was almost disappointed whe I had finished it! Also, don't underestimate how heavy an engine actually is. It hurts, haha.
  15. Weird! Just going by personal experience, with airbag lights and abs lights on VAG cars. Guess BMW may be different though!
  16. The light on normally means the system is off.
  17. Could be as simple as a dying fuel pump or blocked filter. Could also be a dodgy injector or something like that. At the price its at now, its certainly worth keeping an eye on!
  18. Theres a small size difference between me and B.B.D!
  19. I have also been twat-lapped with Nick around Donnington Park, and developed "interior testicles" due to a combination of his high speeds, heavy breaking, and 6 point harnesses. Gravity induced man-ginas are not particuarly pleasant.
  20. Yeah, mines a ko4, you'll get a much more reliable power from it, because its being worked a lot less. You get a tiny bit more lag, but far more mid range and top end power. Just have to see whats about when you're ready to do it.
  21. Hell yeah, love a project! I might have a couple of bits you can have too if you need them...an AGU airflow sensor and a ko3s manifold (which respond well to being ported...which could be a side project). ...come next summer I might have a spare turbo set up too
  22. I find Phil exceptionally annoying. Can't quite pin point why, but I find him incredibly arrogant and find he thinks a little too much of himself. Unfortunately this has just exaggerated those feelings. Sucks about the car stuff though. Would be shitty even if you hadn't taken a day of especially Drive to mine...I'll fit it all for you for free
