  1. Premiere supports those on imports, cant remember how to get the settings properly but there should be HD profiles set up, and special ones for Panasonic cams on the new CS3.
  2. Yeah forgot about the driver issues. They are not TOOO bad, they are improving. Such software like pov ray runs a lot faster on 64bits, and a lot of software is slowly converting, such as VLC (beta) and Firefox. Downside is that the drivers need to be signed by Microsoft which sucks. I would say stay to 32 bit unless you know how to use computers well and get the most from the wider execution range. Give it another year till its really getting into flow but the seas are changing.
  3. Smack em about a bit, only way kids of such behaviour ever learn anything. You cannot be polite to such people you need to show them the hard way.
  4. You can use a 64 bit processor with either 64 or 32 bit os, but you cannot use a 32 bit processor with 64 bit os. It is faster running 64bit os with the cpu but only if you have enough ram to make it worthwhile. I have 4gb and it runs smooth as butter. Here are some advantages, all it takes it some googling. Linky
  5. How do we get hold of this guy as I would rather like one of those. Yes, I have too much money to spend on a bike
  6. Not normally something I would ask about but hey theres always a first. Got a SINGLE phono connection to my DVD player. I need to connect my Xbox 360 and my laptop. My laptop will be running a 3.5mm to phono adaptor. I was thinking if I get 2 of these and then put both of the WHITE connectors into one (ie the white connector from the xbox and the white connector from the pc) then put the two red connectors into the other. Using 2 extension cables connection these to the apropriate connection on the back of the DVD player, thus having 2 sources into 1 input. Only one will be on at a time but its just hassle to keep changing them between. Would this work or is there a simpler way ? Such as a device that allows you to connect multiple inputs and switch between, like the scart switchers.
  7. Im going to disagree with you there. That monitor will be fine. There is no need to spend £400 on a 22" widey when the acer is fine, I have the 19" version and it is fantastic, I use it for gaming too. It has a fast response rate and has better visual quality than my friends samsung.
  8. Was not aimed as you personally JT!. I meant in general when a frame comes out everyone complains it looks similar to X frame because of something etc. Ovbiously some people will like some frames and others not but as a general crowd everyone moans.
  9. Maguras are good, echos are better, or for those of us with money to waste, imo . Unless you have used one I find your comment invalid really. Many people complain about them but mine really is perfect.
  10. Anyone thought about the power in your legs? Some people find 22:18 very nice, others find it easy. It all depends on how strong your legs are etc as well as the actual gear ratio.
  11. I like the hump. Its original. Everyone moans when a new frame comes out "it looks like this frame what a copy". Then you all moan when something new comes out "I dont like this design" blah blah. Gets old after a while really. They cannot look too different as they all have similar fundamentals, such as F1 cars. There are certain limits to how much they can be different on designs.
  12. Either a very small HDTV like 23" cheapo make with pants res of 1366x768. OR Largeish 22" monitor and get a TV card for pc. Your call.
  13. What do you use instead? I have heard 3D Studio Max is good but they have not got that available here. Seeing as its free I am not going to argue, especially as I can just use the models they provide, but I felt like making my own, be original.

  15. I am indeed on 2008, thanks to uni get it free Well ish, whilst I am here anyway were allowed to run it off the network. Thanks for the help, I could not work out for the life of me how to texture things, I just need simple textures. Next question, with XNA you need to have the model and the textures as seperate files, the way I am doing it anyway. How can I export the model as .fbx and have the textuers as .tga??? Update: Quick update of the model, its not fab but heh I have been using this program since last night.
  16. Right I am modeling a bike for my computing course, it needs to end up being rendered in 3d etc, however I first need to make the model useable. How do I modify the polyons so that they merge properly and do not protrude? How do I texture them? How do I cut holes in them, such as the BB, or general manipulation of the polygons? Here is what I have done, its not fab but it will be good enough. Also if anyone knows of any good tutorial sites that would be good, I have found a few but none seem to be of much help with hard to follow tuts. Cheers, Nick

  18. They have shorter pins so you can position them closer and they are also long to allow better alignment.
  19. What did the police say / do ??? Nice pics though.
  20. Mine works fine I deffinately do not have your metal chewing problem and my tpa is working fine too. Not really much else to say other than no problems here.
  21. I have run water in mine for AAAAAAAAAAAGES and seals are fine, I normally re-bleed every 4 months or so and spray all the cylinders with some WD40 make sure they all move smoothly and to clean it abit.
  22. If you read my first post, its because I love the way it rides, there is not a bike that similar to the Czar that is competition orientated. 25 grams here, 25grams there, every little helps as it all adds up.
  23. Or you do a combination and then there are more benefits Go to the gym anyway as I like to stay healthy, plus taking weight off the bike means you can gain more stamina than doing just one. Dont really need a hair cut, I do not have one of these gay emo/scene fringes where I look like a female brushing the hair out my eyes.
  24. Not so much normal riding, more competition riding. At the moment my bikes a tank, roughly 11.5kg or poss more. Its a lot easier to ride competion sections better with a lighter bike as it requires less effort and over the course of say 24 sections, it makes quite a big difference.
  25. Tapping the hook walls is not as hard as you might think as it has a curved bottom, not saying I can do it, but I would imagine that would make it easier as instead of tapping lower, can tap normal height (compared to the top of the wall this is) and the curved part at bottom lets you roll the rear wheel up slightly more thus taking away some height. At a guess that is still impressive none the less.
