  1. Broken seals in saints will cost you a new caliper if its not under warranty. For a magura you get 5 year warranty from new which I think is very good. And hope will cost you if not covered by warrany, Pads £15-16 and seals £3-5 Not always pads.
  2. Unfortunately missed lake ogwen.it wasn't too close to where I was. But I got some good riding in at cricceth beach and trefor dissused quarry, the quarry is awsome if any of you are close to its well worth driving there.
  3. I have used both. On a mod if your light say under 12 stone. Standard should be ok. Any heavier the pro pads, Or if you have a 24 or 26 pro pads are amazing.
  4. I would expect a good quality carbon trials bar to cost me £160-200 for there custom angled bars to cost the same as a mass produced xc or dh bar, seems strange.
  5. Fiberglass weave gets used a lot as its much cheaper and still holds some of the properties carbon does.
  6. Get a better pic of the white/ silver centre section. I said alloy or glass fibers as there the only weaves fibers I know carbon manufacturers use as reinforcements with carbon. Besides kevlar.
  7. Looks like the bars are using a alloy or glass fiber reinforced centre tube on the bar clamp area. Unless the bit in the middle is just the bag from manufacture. 2nd that family biker does love to muscle in all the time.
  8. No there just not bolted or riveted to cheese
  9. More like a kore chain reactor. They worked quite well with the right tension
  10. hope have done trials specific rotors since they made the mono trial rotor and now the trialzone rotor for use with the trial brakes specificaly for trials they are lazer cut and could easily change the design at any time. ( asuming this you are saying hope no nothing about forces aplyed in trial riding so why dont you or ali tell them if there wrong) before they made mtb and road parts hope started there company making trials parts for motortials long before i was born. the weakest point on a brake mount is the old IS mounted bolts and mount as the forces shear and twist the fittings. show me a broken mount adaptor as i havent seen any break yet? i have seen IS calipers with bent mounts and snapped bolts. hope trialzone brakes are avalable in post mount, shame most frames arent yet
  11. Get the superstar rotors that are £13 standard ones if you want these cheap rotors. I know there safe to use.
  12. Ah so there s identiti sort of brand. Direct is the way forward
  13. Those rotors look the same as hope floating rotors which do 100% fail in trials use.
  14. I see parts fail at work. And the price of superstar parts has some explaining needed, as you normaly get what you pay for.
  15. Doesn't that work similar too a dcd (aka daves chain device)
  16. I would recommend rubbing the disc rotor with wet and dry between changing pad compounds as the pads used leave a residue on the rotor, that in some cases won't work well with different compound pads.
  17. I am not keen on a lot of superstar parts, I wouldn't trust them, it I haven't used them either.
  18. It's stupid of hope to make trials specific rotors that work best in only one direction. Surely the family ghost team should get in touch with hope to fix this issue. I would buy rotors with the updates they say these parts need to avoid flex and possible rotor failure
  19. I think family biker and ghost rider should get together. A start a trials disc rotor company They could be family ghost correct braking ltd
  20. Second for the schwalbe tube no problems here and still light
  21. Just arrived here I will be riding the costal areas sometime in the week
  22. This much damage I got in one month. Disc straightened once. It was rubbing a little after I scraped the rim
  23. I haven't had to replace a disc yet. Rode a full season on 160 mod, and 180 24" through this winter and 1st comp. You just get good a straightening them
