Loving that the advice for a recently quit smoker is to get bang on the nicotine. No offence intended, but there's absolutely no way I'm putting that amount of scientific thought into my training. I'm not trying to win any prizes, just had a 'free' spot in my basket as part of a deal

I choose to take "every girl I date" completely literally and imagine you having it pre-loaded to your phone ready to bring out during your starter or something on the first date. "If you don't appreciate this, you might as well get out of here and enjoy the rest of your night. This isn't going to work."

Haven't done for about three or four months or so now. I have no idea what either of those things are!

The problem at the moment is that I get to the gym whenever I catch the time. I make sure I've always got kit in the office, and if it looks like I've got an hour or so I'll get there – that means that most of the time I'm definitely not "in the mood" so a little kick with pre should help. To a certain extent I grew up in my old mans boxing gyms so I have always struggled with motivation in 'normal' gyms where I can't do a bit of a bag circuit as a warm up. I'll give this pre stuff a go when it turns up and if that doesn't work I'll just carry on as I have been – it's not like it's been awful

Got a small tub of that to try, can't do any harm and it was 'free' so worth a go. Cheers.

Anyone used any of the pre-workouts on MyProtein? They've got a 3for2 on and I needed protein and creatine anyway, so thought I'd get a pre that isn't coffee for once. Any recommendations welcome. In other news, I had a big win last week. I haven't been able to get my weight over 67kg for about 10 years, running just kept me somewhere around there and when I wasn't running I wasn't eating enough to make DEM GAINZ. Weighed myself last week for the first time in yonks and I'm at 72kg, which is quite a nice percentage increase for my weedy self. Happy with that.

Thanks for the offer, but I probably wouldn't actually put any use into it. I don't get enough time to split between two sims and iRacing has got me hooked. That said, I might try a demo or something. Taking the code off of you would probably be wasting it though.

Yea this isn't much more than that. Logitech G27. It hasn't even arrived and I'm bidding on a load cell upgrade for the brake pedal though. I've also been drawing up some loose plans to make a DIY 3DOF motion rig too... I have a feeling I'll have to buy the bits for that in very small chunks to get it under the radar...

Told the wife the other day that I'd ordered a new wheel for the ever evolving simulator setup. I hadn't, I was mainly just gauging how much trouble I'd be in if I had. Forgot about it since then, until about a million items of clothes just turned up for her – apparently because I'd ordered said wheel. Looks like I've got the go-ahead then!

Agreed. Really enjoyed reading that – your Dad sounds like a bit of a legend.

Disappointing lack of actual skids and wheelies. Still, decent video.

It's not awful once it's finally loaded, but it takes an age to do so. Tell your buddy to run the site through http://tools.pingdom.com/ and then take a really good look at the issues there. Essentially it boils down to the fact that he's got some cheap hosting, and running a bog standard Wordpress install. Neither of those things are bad as such, completely usual in fact, but with a bit of reading and time he can get the site running snappily. Personally I buy from cleanyourcar.co.uk and I wouldn't swap over based on your friends site so far. It's a decent first effort, but I guess it needs a little work to look a little more pro. No digs intended here, just some advice from someone who both likes to clean their car and spends his time sorting this sort of stuff out.

I've always been told that, with any odd electrical stuff like this whether on cars or not, you should check for a good earth. Probably not a bad place to start.

It's all good, although it was 24 hours or so, it's sorted now. Just one day of ridiculous overdraft fees in the end.

I put the old plate on retention when we got the new car, probably won't put it on the new car. Anyone want, or know someone who might want, PC02 BMW? Probably worth most to a copper with a bimmer. Niche.

I wouldn't mind if it was 10s or 100s, but it's not. Always check your funding source, kids!

The fact that it takes 5 seconds for Paypal to take money out of my account, but days to put a refund back in my account. I f**ked up paying for something out of my account instead of from a credit card, and now I have to sit in an unorganised overdraft for however many days it takes them to put it back. My own f**k up, but still... Infuriating.

I've had nearly 24 hours to think about what to do now, having looked forward to this event for 6 years. England are out, Scotland hate us, Wales helped put us out. IRELAND, IRELAND. They also have the best national anthem. I hope every English person can get behind a, any, team and make the World Cup something we can still be proud of somehow.

I don't really understand how someone who's just being christened can earn that much.

Pretty much exactly what I was going to say.

The crowd need to f**king sing till their voices combined are gone. They are only singing when it's going well. Not good enough from a home crowd.

Yep. However, that pass was forwards, and there was a sin bin for a similar shoulder first tackle with no attempt to wrap the arm earlier. We needed a little bit of luck with decisions, and that's not happening. im not trying to cover up the fact that our own game hasn't been good enough though, it hasn't.

Both results today have gone the way I wanted them to. Hope that doesn't mean my luck has run out today... At my Mums to watch with wife and step dad as well. We've all made predictions, ranging from 23-20 to 12-9, all having England to win. How do you have the score? How nervous are you? I have no nails left.
