Good job they're so fast once they get going...
  2. My shed has been making me itch for a while, with it being a proper unorganised mess. Yesterday I went and picked up an old storage unit from a local business for nothing, and butchered it into a semblance of order for the growing number of tools and things I seem to be accumulating. There's something very cathartic about an organised shed.
  3. Anyone taking a trip to the BTCC at Brands this weekend? I'll be up there with a few people if anyone wants to grab a beer or something
  4. It's definitely not the beast it once was. I think it'd be pretty harsh of me to be honest about why here, because I know that certain members of that team have stalked on my thoughts over here over the years (quite bizarrely). It's safe to say, though, that any business which can't decide whether to follow their passion or the money won't be any good at either.
  5. Not 'angry', just doesn't fit anywhere else. Dirt magazine just announced they're going online only, which is a shame. Working there was the last 'proper job' I had near on 5 years ago, and it was an awesome product. Just a shame that the whole niche magazine side can't really last as a profit making business these days.

Aye, I don't think the Ferrari will win consistently this season. Obviously nor will the McLaren, but give it a couple of years...

I tried, but I can't bring myself to. I'm mainly just hoping for a point for JB. Good race though, well worth the early start Well I f**ked that right up, it seems.
  8. I started today by buying Death From Above 1979 tickets for June in Brighton, which is basically the epitome of a great gig for me. Now wife is cooking a curry from scratch and I have a beer in hand, which means the day has ended well too. The bits in the middle can sod off.
  9. f**k that's ugly. How thick is the tubing?
  10. I'm not sure what it is, but it's holding a vapourisor.
  11. It all seemed a bit quick to me too, but it seems a plausible explanation. In terms of the 8 minute descent bit, I wouldn't be surprised if it was partly to enable him to keep the door closed. From what I've heard about the system, there's a keypad on the outside of the cabin which is used to ask for access. If access is denied, those outside the cabin can override it by inputting a specific code. However, those inside the cabin can also override that override. I'm assuming that descending at more than 4500 feet per minute would override his ability to override the override. Override.
  12. Ah, misread – thought it was just a slice. When it's a slice you just have to remember that one of super glues main uses when it was released was for surgical reasons
  13. Hold it together, get some super glue on there, done.
  14. Tiger, that's what I meant. I couldn't even remember the rhyme I ended up learning, let alone the 'original'.
  15. I believe I was brought up replacing it with the word 'lion', but I can't quite remember. Either way, I don't think that being brought up saying a rhyme in a certain way means you suddenly forget what it contains if you wouldn't use that word usually... Anyway, Clarkson sacked. I'm not surprised, and I'll be sure to tune into whatever show he ends up fronting on Sky/ITV/C4. Now, Auntie Beeb. Give us the shows we've already paid for, including Clarkson.

Absolutely, not under any illusions about why he's there, I just wish it wasn't so. Obviously it'll never be possible to just have the best 20 open wheel drivers in the world competing in F1 on a relatively level mechanical playing field, but it'd be nice. Enough utopian dreaming for one day, though!

Ha, saw that earlier and then went onto a massive rant about Jolyon Palmer not having a drive while someone who can't even count three words and crashes most weekends does. Not my best use of time today.
  19. I think a little rock/curb setup like the beginning of the video, within 5 minutes of either my office or house, would probably keep me entertained enough to actually get my bike out. Oh yea, the riding made me want to do that whole 'going outside with my bike' thing.

I wasn't really commenting on the McLaren pace, more making the point you've remade that circumstances are presenting themselves to those who finish the race. I.e don't use a third engine for DR (who we were talking about), just turn down his 2nd allocation and make sure engine #3 has upgrades that work reliably for race 3.

I'd probably be in the "let's stay on the 2nd allocation, run it detuned, and have more time to make sure the tokens spent on the upgrades are worthwhile" camp. Essentially making Malaysia a test run of sorts – we saw how close JB got to a point while running so far off the pace, so sacrificing race number two might not be as bad as it will most likely be later in the season. Plus, always good to have a self imposed penalty rather than an FIA one!
  22. Sounds to me like it isn't, though? Same thing here, because that's just what happens with relationships over time. The insatiable temptress gets replaced with the comfortable, comforting, normality – and there's nothing wrong with that Personally, I'm far too jealous and lacking in self esteem to entertain some of the stuff you guys are bringing up!
  23. Minor in comparison to arc eye and getting turned down in shit fashion for a job, but: Why the f**k can't my wife put her clothes in the washing with both limbs the same way, as in either inside out or correct? I've just folded the massive pile of washing we got because we've been lazy for a week or so, and EVERY SINGLE top or trousers had one limb inside out but not both. How does that even happen? It is funny though, because I'm actually really annoyed about it while also being fully aware of how stupid being annoyed by it is. First world problems.
  24. Is there a man on the planet who doesn't know that sofa?
