  1. My old ES2 was one of the most beautiful frames I ever rode, and the ES4 was supposed to be even nicer. It only snapped after a year and that was at the disc mounts anyway, so it was alright. Then I gave it to Chris who for some god unbeknown reason took an angle grinder and power-saw to it.... Shame.... But yeah, ES4's, lovely frame, build it up and ride it while it lasts. Rich
  2. Lol, I'd just had an evening watching Jeffs sections from the NWD series and a few of the Koxx days vids and the idea of those two fighting made me chuckle. SWTC stands for South West Trials Crew, a group of riders (myself being a founding member) from the south west of england that produce a video series similar to the FTC series (although not as good[perhaps...]). Volume 2 is big full length (40 minutes) video me and Alex Pavlou (another swtc rider) made over the last year with footage from the south west and events all across the country. There is currently a topic in sites vids and pics which appears to have done rather well and I was just wondering... The film delta force is the film that inspired me to learn to ride a bike, because I wanted one of the motorbikes with rocket launchers on the side. Thats my bit of trivia for the day..... Rich
  3. V8, are OK, but generally lose pins quite quickly after impact on rocks/walls/rails etc. If you want to go all out, the Atomlabz Aircorps are beautiful pedals for trials, however like most beautiful things, they are rather expensive, at about 60pounds for a set. Other alternatives are the Onza Hogneisiums which are generally alright, or the VP cage pedals which a lot of people seem to be using. Rich
  4. I second that. I've been caught once on the way out of Northampton, which is infested with Speed Cameras, so I was basically expecting to get caught. And sure enough, letter comes through my door ten days later. 47mph in a 40. 3 points, and its only 30pounds if you pay it within two weeks. Interestingly, I have also been done for driving too slowly, as in 30mph on the motorway. It was 3am on the M5 driving from birmingham down to hampshire for a comp, and I was so tired and there was no-one else on the road (and I mean no one for about 20 miles) and just didn't realise I was doing 30 until a police man pulled me over, breathalised me (which I passed) and ordered me to stop at the next services and sleep for at least an hour, or drink some increadibly strong coffee... 5. Whats the best biketrials video you've ever seen? Who is the tallest person on the Koxx team and how tall are they? Who is the shortest person on the koxx team and how short are they? Who would win in a fight between Jeff Lenosky and Thomas Remvik Aarsen? Do you think the Columbine (sp) high school shootings gave America (and its youth in particular) a bad reputation? Whats the most scared you've ever been? Have you downloaded SWTC Volume 2 yet? If yes - what did you think of it? If no - why not? Cheers Andy, apart from the minor drug fixation this topic has revelaed you seem like a pretty cool guy. Rich
  6. Mother of God you must have been bored..... Rich
  7. lol, I can just see the full on shocked face you must have been wearing! Rich
  8. Just got back in and seen his msn. Ha.... ha.... my bad..... Get well soon nick. Will be good to see you on sunday anyways. Just took a pretty good stack earlier to the shoulder so I kind of now what you're feeling. Can everyone just attempt to not f**k up themselves or their bikes this week? Rich
  9. I'm talking to nick now and he's fine. The brutal idiot managed to reset his own shoulder within a few seconds of doing it and should be alright now SO LONG AS HE RESTS IT FOR A WEEK AND GOES TO A&E!!! Not sure about big drop gaps, but he should be OK. Am looking forward to this weekend a lot people. See y'all there. Rich
  10. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha................... Made me chuckle.... at the moment I'll say my comupter, as I seem to spend more and more time in front of it, but cigarettes and alcohol are pretty damn important. And if we're talking about most important thing at all; definately my girlfriend. I just wouldn't be here if it wasn't for her. Rich
  11. Was hilarious. James just sat there looking at the grips in his hands for a few seconds going, "what the hell just happened?" Mine would have to be at the DJ memorial ride in portsmouth. Standing on Jon chubbs roof at about 1am with Jon Shrewsbury clinging onto me as Jon tried to get rid of his drink induced double vision and world spin long enough to drop from the roof onto a fridge. Also on the same night when Lee Macaw slammed the bonnet of his car shut and smashed both headlights at the same time. Rich
  12. The song was called 'Pet' by the band 'A Perfect Circle' and it was taken from the album 'thirteenth step.' (and btw, alex edited that one. Just before I get all the credit for it....) I'm glad you liked the vid. (Its starting to get hard to come up with different responses to peoples compliments, if that doesn't sound too arrogant). I've been making vids for about a year and if you'd like to see some more, heres a link to most of my previous videos. Eengoedidee link Cheers Rich
  13. When people went to download, did anyone else got a pop up for a site called passion.com with loads of pics of quite nasty looking women in thongs? I just had a split second thought that went, "Blimey, Nadine seemed a lot smaller last time I met her...." Vids downloading now, am looking forward to it muchly. Rich EDIT: Very cool stuff there, looking forward to the full video alot. How does the Monty ride compared to the Koxx? Not tempted by double discs yet?
  14. Or just go for a king or a hope, which are probably easier to fix by just sending them to tarty or back to hope. But the profiles are nice. Rich
  15. Those things really must be made out of dried spunk or something. He hit the wall at about 0.0000001 mph. Rich
  16. I just released a big video called SWTC Volume 2 which has a stacks section in it. Other than that, Matt Berridge did a video called GonnaCrash with lots of awesome stacks in it, and theres another one called pulse vid with some cool stuff of people mincing themselves. Havn't got any links unfortunately, but if you use the search function on here or a google search you should be able to find them. Otherwise, add me to MSN and I can send you a couple. :$ karsonlevoret@hotmail.com Rich
  17. I know a lot of people who run ffw with no problems on stocks. Personally though I'd wait for the Hope Pro 2. I know I can't say much about a hub I've never even seen, but from what I've heard from hope, its gonna be unreal. And only 120pounds from CRC! Bargain! Rich
  18. you beast! How many wheels do you want to murder! B) Proper destruction that, and that saracen frame.... :$ Rich
  19. Destroyed Leeson prototype disc frame. Both the chainstay and seatstay snapped at the same time.... If you can't see it, the two cracks are just above the gusset on each stay. Rich
  20. I am starting to get the impression that this is the main problem. It is such a big video that a lot of people I have spoken to about it have deleted it after watching it because it took up so much hard-drive space. The only solution to this would be to compress the video and make it smaller so's it would fit in around all the 'gummed-up crap' in peoples computers. However I really don't want to do that as it'll take sooooooo much quality out of it to make it a reasonable size. Could someone who knows a little more about this and who HASN'T had problems playing it just post up with a list of the codecs and software they're using to play it. From the varied response people have given I can only realistically see that the problem is to do with the size of the video and not how its been rendered, so should be alright with any further smaller videos. Thanks for the comments people, glad everyone's still enjoying it. Rich
  21. Is the BT dead then? Looks like a good turnout, am looking forward to it muchly. Rich
  22. You have to land INCREADIBLY hard on a disc rotor to bend it enough that it is unusable. Believe me, I've tried. Most bent rotors can be repaired using a an adjustable spanner on the spot. 1. Only on frames that have been poorly designed where a disc mount has been slapped on as an afterthought. 2. There is lots of hold if you set the brakes up properly. I'm not joking, I havn't had a brake that has held better than my Avid rear disc. 3. Again, if et up properly, a rear disc can bite harder and more effectively than a magura. i'll second that. the smaller discs actually seem to work more efficiently, and I can definately see manufacturers putting more money into rear discs now that more people have started using them. Rich
