I don't think its the fact he's using tar, but someone pointed out he showed a clip with him applying tar right next to the pad name clip. Doesn't really show that the pads work, but that tar works well with yet another set of pads, effectively making them pretty average. If he'd been there polishing his rim or showing how clean/smooth it was and they still performed the same... it'd have been a completely different kind of advert for the pads. Riding was pretty impressive, theres no way i can do any of that, especially now i'm getting on a bit Arthritis will be the next thing for me

Replace that word with budget They are cheap forks, generally cheap things don't last long. Onza also make some more expensive forks that last a while longer... i've had my smart guys for nearly 2 years. Unfortunately they're also about as light as the titanic was in relation to a rubber dingy.

Ooh, unlucky... Mines only 874 down but 211 up. Live lags a bit sometimes, but usually its alright.

I tore his head open when i bashed it on the corner of a building. Duct tape didn't fix him up

Clip Of Me Up To Front On The Top Of A Bench:o

Just looks like the wrong white balance mode is on, hence the blown out sky and everything else looking blue. -
Its £15 a pair, but like i said, they last 4-5 weeks before they start giving you that tired, dry kinda feeling in the evenings. For the first 3 weeks of wearing a clean pair you NEVER get that tired feeling, never have to fiddle with taking them in and out so less chance of getting dirt in them etc. and its so good waking up and just being able to see. They are a hell of a lot comfier to wear than the daily ones. Specsavers'll give you a free pair as a trial if you want too. i know what you mean about it being nice to take them out at the end of the day, with the dailies they'd get tired/dry and i'd have to blink more and they'd be very annoying. These don't get that, and the feeling of not having to do anything with your eyes at all is great.

Yep, 30 day continuous wear ones. Best lenses i've ever used. Sooooo f**king comfy

Just got back from the walk in centre, no debris in the eye and if there was a scratch its now healed. Just the side effects i have to put up with for a day or two apparantly. Got some chloramphenical eye solution and i'm to wear my glasses until at least 2 days after my eyes better. Apparantly the astounding pain from bright lights will fade, so i'm gonna try and sleep for the entire trip to london today and miss out on the sunshine. I do sleep with my contact lenses in JT, got the 30 day ones and they're great... although i didn't scratch my eye till around halfway through saturday so i guess i just got something in my eye somehow.

Managed to scratch my eye on saturday and didn't have glasses with me so i had to keep my contact lens in most of yesterday. Its all red and really sensitive to light. got 15 minutes before specsavers open, anyone else done this... whats the usual healing time? internet says 1-3 days usually It alsp says i need to see an opthalmologist to have the severity of my scratch determined and that i'd need anastheasal eye drops and antibiotics to relieve eye pain and sensitivity. I've got 4 days of work in london and i leave this lunchtime.

Very much agreed, The old adamants were very lifeless and the 06 pitbull is one of the worst frames ive ever ridden, slightly oput-worsened by the Hi-fi... which usually feels like your trying to ride a bike with the bars mounted through the bb shell because its so short.

Sorry mate, completely missed this. I'm going out for a few drinks and a steak at the phantom to make the most of the weather while it lasts, maybe a barbecue this evening.

He's gone out somewhere already this morning. Left about half 10 i think... i was half asleep though so i might be wrong, let me go see if he's in his room. EDIT: Nope, he's gone.

Woowoo, jonnys back and in the shorts again for summer! Looked good mate, i didn't think you could get much better at gapping but it would seem you've proved me wrong. The height on that rolling gap

There might not be a lot but theres some really good smooth rim pads out

Firstly i think an apology would have been given, then i'd have asked you to return them and i'd clean them up to make sure they're not contaminated then have a proper look at them to see how quickly they're wearing. If the pads wore down ridiculously fast for us as well then we'd send a replacement set out straight away, no questions asked. I really don't want to slate you over the internet or suggest that your lying but like i said my own personal set have been on my bike in the same backings as yours since just after christmas and theres still a fair amount left. The fact that people who know you have also stated your grind wasn't light and that you dragged the brake whilst going down a hill, doesn't really reflect that the pads have been put through normal use. The truth is if you'd kept quiet and emailed us about it in the first place, you'd more than likely have had a free set stuck in with no questions asked. But bringing it up on here and having people contradict what your saying makes it much harder to simply and happily issue replacement pads. The fact that the pads pulled out of the backings is a concern though as i made a point of gluing them in firmly as you requested. On that alone we'd be willing to issue replacements by means of an apology and i can't see why you haven't brought it up earlier. Unfortunately we are still waiting on a new shipment of material and the only yellow pads we have left that aren't already in backings are random offcuts and mishapen pads (trapeziums instead of straight edged etc). If you'd like to send an email our way i'm sure we can come to an arrangement though.
-
And why is that might i ask? Is it because you can contact them and let them know theres been a problem with it and get a new pair sent out? Because that would have been the case if you had said something, instead of not telling us, then proceeding to slate our products and company on a message board.

Thats exactly what i said and always have said On an already stiff frame, the addition of a booster usually hinders the brake rather than aiding it. And they can help on a frame with a lot of flex. Seems brakes are good if the components (pads, clamps, frame) can all flex slightly, but poor once all the flex is put on one component (the pads), at a guess i'd say it compresses the pads more and moves them out of their optimal performance boundaries.

Dude, get it running and then i'll submit you for pimp my ride Let them spray it, lower it etc for free then take out the unavoidable crap they'll stick in like water fountains and neon interior lighting.

Depends if you get stung with import tax on its way through into the uk.

Computer building is easy, its diagnosing a DOA (dead on arrival) part thats not. Built a few now, latest was my housemates with watercooling and all that jazz. That was easily the most fun and switchin it on to see the fluid glow and fly round the tubing was great. Never bother with anti static myself, just touch the unpainted section of the case to ground myself and carry on with the build. Never fried a component through static.

Sounds like a decent package yeah, where abouts is that from?
