  1. Thats the thing though, it shouldn't be. Someone asked a genuine question, and it was met with what appears (not saying it was meant to be) to be a very arrogant answer from someone who should really know better. The post was noticed by some of the older members and pointed out and now we're at this point, if the reply had read something like "no, i'm sorry but i reckon your thinking of someone else" i reckon this whole thread might have gone a completely different way and focussed on the pictures.
  2. Yes i'm a know it all, i wasn't just trying to have a discussion, wasn't trying to point out why people might have constantly had a go at you, and wasn't just simply pointing out that there are pricks everywhere and you appear to be one of them. Too set in your ways to listen or discuss, you turn to ridicule.
  3. They're cut to fit powerpad backings perfectly. You'll need to sort of wiggle the lead edge into them, then slide it up into the end of the pad then proceed to clamp the other end with your fingers/pliers etc. Its a semi-tight fit, but that's what it needs... there's more of a chance of them falling out if you take any more off them. Standard super glue will be fine so long as it has Cyanoacrylate written on it, i have some loctite glue here with the precision nozzle malarkey and its got Cyanoacrylate written on the back.
  4. I said yes to closing it, but only because i think, in the long run.. its probably better if these guys got out of the habit of taking pictures of each other sticking their arses out then congratulating each other on how well they "tuck" (euphemism for "you stick your arse out proper good, i want to tap that") in the same sort of way 300 promotes men looking at each others tits.
  5. I agree, tone of voice etc does make a difference in real life but on a forum a bit more consideration is needed. As you said its easy to misinterpret what someones trying to say especially if it was intended as an agressive joke/remark. What you have to bear into consideration is that some people are more easily offended than others so if you were to call someone a knob on the forum they'd probably come away feeling bad about it or write something back. Which is why sly comments and jokes are against the rules, and it specifically states it doesn't matter if your friends. Ignorance and arrogance though are much easier to tell. You see that makes you come across as a "tfp" as you say too. You've been so childish as to label people who've done/said things you don't like with an abbreviated insult so as to try and get it in under the radar. Sad fact here.... there's pricks everywhere, not just on the forum. And the fact that the first person to start throwing this term around in this thread was one of the people accused of being arrogant does nothing apart from re-inforce the opinion. Poor spelling makes things incoherent and harder to read for everyone. Even now i have to stop midway through your posts because they're so poorly structured. You move to a new line half way through a sentence which makes me stop and try and work out how it should be read, you stick random abbreviations in the middle of a sentence and it all helps to slow me down as i'm reading it. Think of it this way, you have a really good point on a subject but can't write for shit, people will probably give up reading what you have to say or just ignore you completely because they can't be bothered to try and decipher it. Its not a commercial organisation, its tom and Danny's private forum. If they want to see people writing properly in it, then they can specify it regardless of what it had to do with riding, its their choice. They could write into the rules that everyone must use a live web cam in their avatar and make stupid faces while they post messages if they wanted.
  6. Demo and full game available, best £10 ever spent! Redlynx media section
  7. I know my last time i went to my local bike shop for one they asked what size, so i'd imagine you bought one thats too small.
  8. An onza zenith? When jonny tried asking for a replacement because his snapped so quickly he was told that onza and zona are different companies and the hedgehog was put on the zeniths "by mistake". Looked like good riding went down, although like everyone else has said... would have been better to see it properly.
  9. That was so shockingly bad i'm actually impressed that you had enough luck on your side so as not to injure yourself. Didn't drop the front, tucked to early then stayed tuck the whole drop and landed like a heffer. When i saw you drop off like that i thought "broken ankle/spine on the way". Is it bad that i was disappointed that you didn't :$ ?
  10. Yep, that's how I see it too, your wanting to swap something because theres something else you wanted, therefore it goes in the wanted section. The only other option is to sell it so then it'd go in the for sale section.
  11. They are EXACTLY there.. within a few hundred feet.
  12. But the original question is where do YOU THINK is the best place, not asking where the definitive single best place is as everyone prefers different things.
  13. Holiday in cambodia is on guitar hero 3.... fookin love that game
  14. All too true, i went there a few weeks back, and whilst they look easy enough to ride it was more a case of static up, gap, dab, hop, dab, switch position, dab, dab, gap, dab. They have got nice flat surfaces but they are tricky as hell to ride.
  15. Oh Tomm! I was looking half intelligent for a minute there
  16. Thats the lamest thing i've ever heard. Unless you've made a new type of hydraulic brake by which the fluid doesn't travel through the cable but magically floats from one place to the other, then it was probably a genuine question.... seeing as hydraulic brakes still have hydraulic hosing/cabling. And yes, i realise its an old post.
  17. It might not be able to sort every problem with it, but yeah it'll get most of them. I'm willing to bet you've got around 100-170 virus's on it. I'm on my mums laptop so no, not on msn right now.
  18. Might sound silly but you do brush your teeth everyday, yeah? Whats with people posting so early at night nowadays, 1am isnt late... time to put a film on and read some emails
  19. Windows doesn't slow down just because it has a high number of running processes, it depends what the actual processes are. XP can happily run over 200 processes if they're only light-medium on the system resources, but get 200 instances of photoshop being up and you'll notice a slowdown. I'd also be willing to bet that several of the processes will be of a viral nature that should be removed once the computers been scanned. What was that phrase, it takes one.... can't think of it
  20. Just run your antivirus software, given the symptoms you've just described it sounds like you've got the same problem my housemate did. 300 odd virus's... or viri () It actually wouldn't suprise me if you didn't have any antivirus/fireewall at all, so have a lok at typing in AVAST or AVG FREE into google and downloading their antivirus software. Then type COMODO or ZONEALARM into google and use one of those for your firewall.
  21. The deleting of peoples own replies wil make the forum pretty incoherent. Take for example someone writes something that provokes a reaction with a load of other members a debate starts off and people start deleting their own posts so when your trying to read through it its not going to make any sense. Theres a reason no other forums allow you to delete posts. It just won't work.
  22. A digital SLR would be best for geting an action shot, but it won't take videos so you'd need a seperate camcorder.
  23. With regards to the pads i don't find it hard to believe that deng brought out pads just to fill his catalogue with more stuff. I also don't find it hard to believe he just went along the lines of "soft pads=soft rims" and brought them out without much testing or thought about the mixture used to make them. He probably bought a shedload of them then went to a new supplier to order more and just asked for greens in 75a, thinking they'd be exactly the same, unfortunately the compounds vary between batches unless the mixture is recorded for future use.
