  1. QUOTE(Bill_B @ Apr 20 2007, 09:39 AM) ←What did Clive make of this and what was the service like? I know the butted tubing does get crazy thin in places, I'm talking about an XC bike though, even my lardy ass shouldn;t put those kind of forces through it. I havn't spoken to him since the day after it broke so i'm not sure what happened regarding a replacement. He hardly putany force through it though, he can only just peddle hop.... he's a complete n00b .
  2. Woohoo, its next week! Shame i'm skint I guess its enough time to research where my kidneys are, get drunk, remove one and sell it on ebay so i have some funds to go. Should be a laugh.

    Venue Closure

Just get loads of riders riding up and down the road for a couple of days to let him know what it would be like if addingham wasn't available to go into. I can't beleive someone thinks he can close down a world class sporting venue because he wants less traffic outside his house.
  4. The rex's are beasts on natural. I simply love it, it just goes wherever i want it to, balance perfectly, and can take a beating if it falls. What more could you want? A little lighter?... ...Drill the two brace arms out (under brakemounts going from chainstay to seatstay) to remove a lot of excess weight. Or get it pimped up with carbon bars, carbon lever, super pro burns, single speed.... etc. Just like me
  5. You don't. You leave it to fall off the page and join all the other useless new member topics in the land of page 2+
  6. My friends leeson forks snapped. He has a beasty disk brake, but he can't gap very far at all yet to its not like it had a lot of force going on it. The tubing was insanely thin though, like paper thin!
  7. Ha ha, ride it till it snaps, repair it... might just have been a faulty link, next time it snaps replace it
  8. Yeah, just get them to send you a new front cap
  9. Deng stuffs from china What happens if you decide its not a warranty job and not eligeble for HPR, does it still get scrapped or will you send it back to him. Not something i'm really bothered about but its a question he asked me over msn and i thought i'd ask in this topic as i didn't know the answer. Danny, he's not really fat... he's 2.5 stone lighter than i am.
  10. momentarily?....... ..... 22 minutes later
  11. I didn't eat it, it hit me smack in the middle of the forehead and down my chest remember My angle grinded door hinge bolt holding my chainring in on my truvativs when the bolts stripped was tonnes better than your broken mech hanger. Got me an extra 4 weeks of riding despite then chainring being snapped

QUOTE(deanie-b @ Apr 15 2007, 03:38 PM) ←1. I'm not American, but you are a discriminative little shit.2. I quite clearly asked if you could see this going anywhere, is all. Not for your shit-filled opinion. Mods can close. 1. He's bigger and older than you. 2. "shit filled"? I'm sure thats what most people thoguht when they read your first post. So you had something delivered late, big f**kin deal! He gave you his opinion on whether you should take it further (which is what you asked for). Only person on here who fills the "little shit" criteria seems to be yourself. Its only a brake lever, i know you've missed out on riding over easter, which is annoying. But unless you specifically asked for something like a 24 hour delivery then you can't do anything. And even if you did, the only thing you could claim back is the cost of delivery as they failed to supply the service you'd paid for... but even that would be a longshot. In short, no, it isn't going anywhere, so just leave it at that.
  13. Was running a kmc kool thats had nearly 2 years worth of trials abuse. It repeatedly snapped the other week though so i left it.
  14. Thats exactly when these nice things stop happening I'd rather keep having karma give me lots of nice things rather than go and use it all up on one big kebab eating session.
  15. If the product breaks due to a fault, then it should be covered by the warranty. You'll have to let them know of the exact details and take the frame over to them so they can have a alook themselves and they can decide if its worthy of warranty or half price replacement. The onza/tensile half price crash replacement policy entitles the original purchaser to claim back half the original RRP of the broken product for use against anything in their shop (which may or may not still be going). Its a "no questions asked" policy, so covers anything really. The only written details i've seen about this policy are from before zona were established, so i'm unsure as to whether it would apply to them. Best thing to do though jonny is to ring them up and explain and they'll tell you where to go from there. But if its a mod your after you could use the half price replacement against a zona zip or something of the like.
  16. My old bb was the same on my base. I took it to local bike shop, they used the thread clearing tap on it to clear the threads of paint/gunk and to make sure they were straight. Gota new bb, slid in fine by hand.... only needed the tool right at the end to make sure it was tight. I'd give that a go first. Then try Jakes more forceful approach.
  17. Ha ha, f**k off are you. I'm 6ft5, 16.5 stone. Thats cheap. I'd be suprised if they didn't bend to be honest. Buy cheap, buy twice .... get some decent ones for £10 or more, probably go for around £15. Flip the axle over so it bends back... you'll get a bit more life out of it. Just repeat when severely bent.
  18. Got given a free can of coke by a turkish owned kebab/burger/pizza shop while riding on some concrete blocks outside. All the people walking past stop and watch and he called me over and gave me a free drink, told me if i ever wanted anything i should just go right in and get get it
  19. I'll get a picture of my mates one for you then . Its got random cd's (muse, fugazi, mars volta, john frusciante, mudvayne etc) littered everywhere. Its covered in guitar cables, amp parts and what not. It also has a collection of little early learnign centre style rainfrogs, lizards and other reptiles stuck to it, as well as a plastic walrus to be used as a cd holder. Theres the top of a pompom hat stuck to the middle of the steering wheel and it gets used as a bench during his lunchbreak and randomly when sitting on the front garden.
  20. Would you spend £5.00 on a biketrials DVD? Yes What is our favourite trials style, Street(normal riding around town), natural, Urban(e.g Matt Berridge, John Shrewsbury)? Natural-Street (smooth flowy riding thats super smooth) Who are your favourite UK riders? Akrigg, Holroyd, Macaskill, Bucky How old are you? 20 Do you prefer your favourite songs on a biketrials video or a simple well made track which fits with the video? Well made track is good, but favourite well made track is even better. Do you want the video to have different sections from different rides/events. Can't hurt can it Do you like seeing different riders and new places/section, or the same old big gaps as you can appreciate how big they are( eg St.Pauls gap in london and most big riding spots) New places, normal ones have been done to death Do you prefer a video which sets the scene and has some nice shots and some experimental parts rather than just all riding? Yes, like concussion said, road fools stylee. Seeing riders going out in the evening acting like tits, all makes the dvd that bit more interesting and not a full on 60 minutes of solid riding. I often find i kind of space out with constant riding vids, and it all becomes one moving blur. Anything else which you think makes a trials video stand out?: Originality, new lines, new riders, something to entertain and interest. Why pay for something thats the same as every other (insert rider name here)(insert vid number here) video that can be downloaded for free.
  21. I use a kmc k710 on my super pro bash. Its the same chain i've been using for the past 2 years nearly.... only started snapping last week. I'm gonna be getting another thats for sure.
  22. Well actually, the pro 2 is dishless, so the wheel itself will be stronger. The hope XC axle also flexes when force is applied to it when pedal hopping which results in the freehub body pressing on the ratchet, which both wears the freehub body and the ratchet, leading to eventual failure and constant skipping. With the pro2 hope have seen this issue and reinforced the axle to prevent the same thing happening again.
  23. I think you meant "Or a tenner cheaper: http://tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?id=10058 " When i rang up chain reaction they said they sold all the others and only have the new revised ones in all the colours except gold. Plus the postage is free
  24. I take it you mean the horibble, almost sticky, slightly soft to the touch pile of crap left in the shape of your sticker. Soaking in gt85 always did it for me, just sprayed some on, got a rag and wiped it all off, the stuff just slid off with no trouble at all. I should imagine wd40, gt85 and anything like that will all work, as well as cillit bang.
