  1. That ones wicked. I like the fact you can't see exactly whats going on, leaves you wondering about what rock he's going to etc.
  2. I don't think you really read understood what i said You can't tell the difference in weight between two sets of pedals when your riding street. You don't REQUIRE a light bike, its just a preference. The majority of "street" riders only do one move, then move to another wall and do the exact same move on that. Comp/Natty riders don't stop, they don't have a break and move to the next rock. They need their bike lighter so they don't get exhausted half way through a line and leave themselves with muscle ache/tiredness/cramp.
  3. You'll be wanting a program called M3 made by someone caled mysh. Its the best at changing ratios for phones. Super easy to use, only quite hard to track down. If you add me to msn i can send you the 8mb installer for it. I can't seem to find a link to a current host anywhere on the internet
  4. You were definately right on msn, your pad compound is cheaper than the one i was looking at

    Demo Soon

Make pillars out of scafolding poles and try and land on the ends of them while being about 6 foot in the air. The crowd will be amazed, either by your ability to actually land on such a thin object so high up, or by the way you impale yourself on it Just fun stuff, couple of boxes, some pallets, some thin beams, tractor tyres?.... Just stuff that can be picked up cheaply. Nails and a hammer will work a treat too for fixing things like the tyres down. As for riding, don't all go cruising round at once, think strategically, two of you rest while the other rides, of have a mini ride off between two of you while one rests. Do funny things like copy a line and add to it (one person goes first, the other does the same line and then does something better, the other tries to beat it again... will get the crowd interested). Have a sidehop bar with different heights on, and make it higher for each sidehop, crowds usually like that. As for actual riding, like others have said, vary it. Don't just keep bombing round the place tapping one object ten sidehopping another and gapping another. Its boring enough to watch for people who are interested but seeing you do the same thing on different sreas of the place will allow people to think its all too repetitive. Add some fun things in like 180's, front hops, crankflips, x-ups, 1 handers. Do soem technical things, like sidehop gap between two thin beams or even 180 sidehop gap them. I think that enough for now, i'm tired and so i'm going to bed.

    Trials Dvd

I know for a fact theres locations that nobodies covered in videos before. Leicester is quite an unseen gem . The main thing for me would be variety. I think get 1 was very good, the range of locations and riders was great, however a lot of it was just the usual tap, gap, sidehop type stuff. Which after an hour or so kind of loses its initial appeal. Definately get some riders from far and wide, try and convince TRA or the cousts to come over, or you go over and see them. That would be an awesome addition to the DVD.
  7. T-rex frame, already quite stiff. Echo control 4 bolt booster, REALLY stiff. Then an RB lever too and CNC backings. All the pads seemed to make a swooshing noise and wore down very quickly whilst not holding at all. Removing the booster immediately gave the pads noise, they held well and didn't wear down as fast.
  8. try furniture polish, wipe it fully off, then let it dry..... you WILL be amazed
  9. If you run out of time you could always do the whole folding a t-shirt round your head to be a ninja thing. Make a sword quickly and your all set.
  10. That'd be the sort of thing to make someone happily cut off their own tongue
  11. Not reaally, i saw a video of someone snapping a pair on a relativlely small drop and they said it was like thesecond or third pair they'd snapped.... they weren't even doing anything huge throughout the video.
  12. Both good pads, i liked my rimjams a lot, and they worked while i had the super stiff brake set up that stopped my other pads from working properly, plazzies etc. Mine wore pretty fast but i had them on a very harsh grind, i'd like to sand them straight and try them on a lighter grind now my brake set up is better. Wally's are loud as hell though. The joypads are good too, i'm liking them at the minute and have gone back to using them. I think i'll be picking up another set of each when i get some money. Both exceptional pads. I'd say the rimjams are probably slightly better on a dead grind though, the joypads seem to prefer a slightly sharper one.
  13. If you hover over the menu while a new "page" is loading then move the cursor onto the black area before its finished loading the menu stays displayed, then hides when you move the mouse over it, then appears when you take it away and hides when you hover over it..... don't know how i found that out but i find it amusing Looks sleek, smart and elegant though, which is what i'm guessing your target audience will be looking for. I even think the repetitive 80's synth jazz piece goes well with it without getting too irritating, something most web pages like to annoy me with. Well done. EDIT: The menu seems to work in reverse if you move the mouse onto it then move it off onto the balck background again before its finished sliding out.
  14. Davey your so wise, thank you for your advice. And you were right. I spent the night finishing building my new computer desk and playing a computer game my cousin got me for my birthday that i hadn't had time to play due to a mad week of finishing uni work. I had some sleep and woke up bright and early this morning, went to pizza hut buffet with my mates (34 slices for £3.99..... bargain ) and i'm soon to be going to watch 300 and finish with a night out in town, which i'm thoroughly looking forward to. Cheers dude.

    What Speakers

I have altec lansings as well, some right beasty things with a double speakered bass unit. Its soooooooo deep. watched armageddon on dvd the other day and when bear started singing leaving on a jetplane my desk rumbled so much a beaker fell off it £100 and come with a remote too, bargain.
  16. He's right, i don't think i've ever seen his brake NOT work.
  17. I think he means constantly as in everytime he applies the brake, even if he does it slowly/softly as opposed to wuickly and hard. A grind from tarty will only make the noise louder. Learn to like the noise, thats the only thing really. Theres no point ruining the braking surface to stop it making a noise, be proud of it, your a trials rider, you do what the general public perceive as almost uncomprehendable, draw attention to yourself and show off your ability to do something amazing. You'll also find after a while that when the brake doesn't squeak you don't trust it as much. Theres nothing more confidence inspiring than a brake that aggressively salutes its activity below you.
  18. I think you'll find the freewheel is quite well attached if you've already used the wheel for a little while. Ask your local bike shop if they can pop it off for you, they shouldn't charge you a lot, if anything. If it has tabs on it like the dicta and ACS freewheels then you maybe be able to do it using a screwdriver and a mallet, but you need a large flat headed screwdriver as the smaller ones will dig into the tab your trying to knock round. Be warned, using a hammer and screw driver increases the chances of you damaging the threads as your unscrewing it. So be careful when you do it.
  19. Erm, no. It won't. Unless your changing your gear ratio the only thing the freewheel is going to give you is reliability and a quicker engagement. The quicker engagement is only really needed when you trying to put some crank rotations in before getting up something. If you can gap properly already then you won't see a difference in having "more power".
  20. And what if you can't get them because they don't go up to size 15? You can't compete? If i ever went to one of these discriminitive competitions someone would have hell to pay
  21. Heard of way too many tensiles snapping for me to trust them. My burns are nice though, and have taken a fair beating. I do like the rugged industrial look of the tensiles but the burns look nice too in a completely different, sleek, smooth way.
  22. It would make sense, if that post was right. If you were to get something like the truvativ giga pipe team DH bb, an actually one not the slalom giga pipe one. I mean the one with 4 bearings in it. These bb's last ages, I've been running mine since christmas and it was second hand then, never made a noise. People splash out on cheaper truvativ ones or these echo external ones and they don't last. The external ones are better but can't be run front freewheel. Get an ISIS giga pipe TEAM DH (should be around £45) and you can't go wrong.
  23. but the pedaols are on the cranks and effectively under the bike, so the only time weight is a real issue is when your riding natural as your having to move the whole bike around at the same time rather than gapping solely from tyhe back wheel. The pedals are around the balance point and only really affect the overall weight of the bike rather than a measurable weight. Hence natty/comp riders liking caged pedals and street riders liking platform ones. To be fair though, my hognesiums have been grippy as hell, i go to pedals on them quite often and have eventually lost the pins from one side but the7y are going to be two years old in april. Plus their magnesium so not far off the weight of caged pedals.
  24. Oh davey davey. Earlier today i bumped off the plans i had made with a mate to go out on the piss, there was no real reason as to why and ordinarily its something i'd jump at the chance to do. Do i subconsciously dislike him or is it the turning point of a realisation that i no longer want to go out and get bladdered anymore and would rather have a cup of chocolate and go to bed? Why did i not come out and tell him either, i made up an excuse that wreaked of bullshit and left it at that. Is there anything i can do to remedy such a situation?
