I usually go out in town with mates and get wankered in bars/clubs. Seems to work for me, i get drunk easier when i've been riding which significantly reduces the cost of the night as i can normally drink quite a lot (which is expensive).
-
I'd probably just spend it like normal. Buy realistic parts instead of brand new shizzle. Where i could i'd get good quality second hand stuff and save myself a tonne of cash, whihc could be used on booze, new tv, new computer, driving lessons etc.

Unless its a flesh eating virus from the tropics tell it to f*** off and ride regardless. The riding will actually increase your blood flow and improve your red a white cell production... the increase in white ones will aid in getting rid of your virus quicker. So if it feels hard to ride like you normally do just go out and have a play with the technique on smaller gaps than normal, you'll still be able to ride and you'll get better quicker. Riding is good for many reasons

Ha ha, i saw that too and was completely amazed! JT, you are a beast.

My base felt fine whilst doing some more harder cross country. The head angle isn't a problem and its very quick to hop over obstacles etc because of the short chainstays. The problem however was rigid forks. Unless your planning on using suspension forks and just swap them between riding trials and riding XC then you'll find its like trying to hang onto a neumatic drill. Your head gets bounced up and down so quickly that you can't see much stuff in front of you and this led to me hitting a rock and flipping over the bars mid run. It WAS fun though!

To be fair, everyone thinks their in love at 16. Its just a new experience and you mistake it for something its not. I'm usually a very optimistic person, but at the same time, in reality your NOT going to be with her in 2 years time. If you are, look me up and i'll apologise to you. Have you even tried having to pay for just your own stuff yet? Like living at home still but getting no money off your parents for food, clothes, general things. I think if you tried not having anything for free off you parents for like a month you'd be seriously sick of it. Actually, try it. Don't eat any food from the kitchen that isn't yours, pay for your own school equipment, money for transport, food, and general stuff (toothbrushes, razers, toothpaste, shampoo, hair cuts etc). I'd imagine at 16 if you have a part time job as well as college you'd be getting around the same kind of proportionate spending money (only having to pay for food etc) as if you were doing a paid apprenticeship and having to pay rent on top of food etc. I can tell you, paying for your own stuff despite still living at home is quite hard. Especially as when your older theres things like going to the pub with friends and generally needing more stuff.

too true! My wheel goes down a shit load on drop gaps. Probably 10-12" under the take off then i suck it up mid way and throw it down again. Seems to work for me. As for learning to pinh gap... try starting with a little hop to the dge of the wall first. Aim to land at the edge of the wall and as your landing you'll compress your rear tyre and lean back enough to utilize the pinch gap technique without really having to try at it. Once you can do it this way you'll be able to just do it from absolutely static.

Sorry, i can't seem to see anywhere where you let us know what the wheel is. Is it a standard wheel or something like a ronnie on a hope Xc? If its a standard one have a look at drilling it.

I think a split open head would have been a bit of a stretch. From the video it looks like the majority of the impact is taken up by your arse and then you roll down quite gently onto the floor. I wouldn't really even class that as a bail.

Well if you had a 36hole you'd find it very hard to build up an 07 echo rim. If you had a 32 hole hub, it'd be easy.

If you have a disc, it isn't bad at all. If you use a maggie..... get a disc.

Its tomorrow, give us pics .... please :$

What Colour/finish For This Frame (very Old Monty)
Krisboats replied to Bill_B's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
QUOTE(Bill_B @ Mar 15 2007, 04:02 PM) ←Well, I've decided to powder coat it, in black (boring old git I know). Just need to decide between: Matt Satin Super mirror shiny and if I'm going to do the forks too or just the frame (I'm thinking I should!) Super mirror shiny ***! -
They don't ruin the 4 prongy things at all as far as i can tell. Mine have worn almost completely flat too, no rounded edges to them.
-
I think its mostly the frame thats the tank part of the bike. Like the Rex's their not even remotely lightweight. Drill out the section with the onza stamp where the seat woould be on a normal bike and drill out sections of the chainstay/seatstay tubes as their not really doing anything.
-
You wear three pairs of hot pants then yeah? As with all my other clothes, i wear soemthing appropriate for the weather.
-
But to be fair, if you bleed it and really flush the system out you have hardly any oil left in there to emulsify, then once it has, just rebleed and its gone. I find nice hot water foir the first water bleed is the best way to get the oil out fully, or if oil collects in the lever i give it a bleed with hot water and some washing up liquid then flush through with normal water afterwards.
-
Ah this is looking alright... i might be going out on the DH bike instead.
-
Ha ha, i don't know at all. Just wanted to be the first reply and 12 was the first number i thought of.

Lever=Lever blade + Lever body. If there wasn't a lever body there the blade would have nothing to lever itself against, so the whole unit is called a lever. Look, see what i mean? It's not confusing at all, you just don't get it
-
Sorry, it wasn't aimed at you. I know you know what your on about. Usually does the trick when it happens though.
-
You still have to distill it though, hence the "watch the AF content" bit. I use water as well, nicer lever feel. If your lever goes sluggish after just putting water in you'll need to re-bleed it. There will be left over oil lining the tubes and cylinders which all seems to slowly collect in the lever after a water bleed, giving you a smushy lever. Another bleed if it does it and your lever will be right as rain though.

Lmao, i think edd meant you don't seem able to comprehend (understand/make sense of) the fact i said GIRLY hair not CURLY hair. .... Beau you've just made my day.
