You have literally just missed out. Dennis winters had 24" ones going for 20 quid a few months back.
  2. Arnt they heading down an on-one style of life?.. "Steel is real", etc
  3. Thanks for all the info chaps. Does anyone have any links to vids with 360's, preferably on 24/26..
  4. Thanks. Does the angle of bike make any difference? Easier with front wheel higher..?
  5. Hi all. I've watched video tutorials, and read guides but i'm really struggling to do a 360 hop. Admittedly all tutorials seem to be on bmx. Is the technique different on a 24"? I can 180 all day long, even when i'm trying to go further. Doh! Wondering if its a commitment/mental issue.
  6. Looks lovely. How do you find the tyres? Looking at these for my bike. Cheap, but little worried at thought of a kilo of tyre each end!
  7. All old and struggling to come to terms with aging. Think this bike strikes a chord with lot of us. Think we can safely say weve had atleast one of the components on this build in some guise years ago. How did you manage to get such a good condition irc tyre? Think we are due a return to amber/gum wall tyres being trendy/available.
  8. When i saw initial description i thought "oh dear", then saw the photos and it looks lovely. Very tasteful. Even down to the tyres! Really needs a sachs grip shifter, and yellow sachs decal.
  9. Can agree with that. Eastbourne is fairly poor from memory. Hastings had some good stuff on seafront. May head over that way myself soon, see what i can still do over there.
  10. I do rather like the colour. If if i were to ever spray a frame, thats the type of colour i'd aim for. Is the 2015 frame much different from the previous version?
  11. Thats what i used to run on my Zebdi 'back in the day'. Maybe one tooth less if your find it too light.
  12. Says an awful lot for the QC of the stem, and/or design. I'd be questioned at work if I was asked to make something x long by x angle, and it came up 'Slightly' out...
  13. Hello, hopefully last update. Front wheel finally finished, rear wheel rebuilt with Hope 40t.
  14. Agreed. Bedding in is essentially using the pads to smooth the rotor, and the rotor to profile the pads. Bit like lapping a heatsink.
  15. I found this brand while looking for handlebars. I dont believe they have a UK importer. Seen them on Aliexpress type sites. Link to bars: http://sawbikes.com/parts/saw-street-handlebar/
  16. Ebay - DMR Backline from dennis winters. 35mm wide, £20, heavy though at 666g
  17. Quick question: Do the Pro Trials freehub suffer from sprocket dig at all? I know its steel. I had a BULB about 10 years ago, which had a ti freehub, that suffered a little dig. Just curious.
  18. If i was starting from scratch i'd have Paperclips hub in an instant. But i already have a 32h rim n spokes ready to go. Bugger! Your welcome to steel my offered hub. Lol.
  19. I did see this one, does seem a little high on price, especially as it requires £30+ to work on regular 10mm axle. Is the Team Green a limited colour? Also, i'd always wonder how much better my world would have been if i'd only spent that extra £50 to get 32 extra clicks.
  20. Hum...well, if the right classified turns up I'll consider it. Are there any other hubs i could consider?
  21. I've been watching the classifieds here, nothing as yet. Ebay isnt yielding much either. Also wont Hopes unrivalled warranty only apply to first owner?
  22. I'm not too fussed about running a short block cassette, don't fancy running another alloy cassette carrier. I know i can get a steel carrier for the regular evo, but its all extra cost.
  23. Well the enevitable happened. The Quanta XC hub with alloy freehub died. I know, who'd have guessed. I'm pretty much decided on the Hope SS, but it is a lot of money. Are there any other alternatives currently available? I was looking at freewheel hubs, various brands offer hubs for around £50, then another £50+ for a reasonable freewheel. So as far as I'm concerned for a 'mere' £50 extra i could have a 'hub for life' ie; once I'm too old for trials, i can use on a regular bike. Thoughts? Ideas?
