  1. Always thinking of themselves.. Selfish germans..
  2. Does anyone know why magura changed their cylinder? Always used to be m8/m6 one side, m6/m6 on other. Looking on tarty bikes crossovers are now barbed one side and olive on other. Wouldnt this mean is m8/m6 and m8/m6?
  3. Do you mean i can use olive in m6 too?
  4. Would there not also be an issue with sealing. The m8 hole is designed to seal with olive deformation rather than edges of thread faces. Im not certain, just a reasonable assumption.

    Seat Angle

Being old and lazy, i found that with the seat a little tipped back it put my weight more over the back giving my arms a break while commuting between spots. I started with the seat flat, then tipped back.
  6. That frame. I really like it.
  7. My god that is a thing of beauty. Love it.
  8. Must admit the choice of 24" rims is quite limited, especially if your not looking to spend megabucks or dont want a drilled one. Hence my rim choice, ordering one at end of month to build front wheel up.
  9. Google seemed to indicate easy to get in states, not so much mover here. Any particular reason for that rim? Can get dmr backlines on ebay for £20 with free pnp. They're only 4mm narrower.
  10. They are not marketed as trials hubs, so chances are they may cause you pain. I dont think they have a huge amount of engagement points either. But, on the other hand a lot of street stuff is more rolling moves so that instant power that strains freehubs so badly isnt so much of an issue.
  11. Agreed, logically looking atleast 5mm too short. I used an online calculator to confirm, used a hope ss rear hub diamensions as a reference. 480 erd gave 232 ish, where as 491 gave 238 ish. Emphasis on "ish", before any one says "its 238.7 actually" Haha. This was based on 32 spoke 3x.
  12. Maybe the last trials video he saw was of a late 90's/early 00's American/Canadian trials rider. When the stereotypical rider had front suspension. It's the only feasable reason for this 'bike'.
  13. Thats a very strange situation. Fixed wheel position, almost looks like the frames been badly made. Not really a good fix, but how about getting v-brake adaptors and using evo mounts. I know thats very arse about face but may give the extra adjustment required.
  14. I had a feeling these forks were grease lubed rather than splash-bath.
  15. Is this official or hearsay? I thought engine oil had detergents and additives for combustion by products. Also multiweight for forks? Doesnt specific fork oil have properties to reduce foaming too?
  16. Frames are a definate no go. I love riding, but paying bills and bring up kids take priority unfortunately. Haha.
  17. Anyone got some cheap 4 bolt mounts going spare?
  18. I've got one out by putting the screw in and hitting the sides of the screw with a hammer, kinda zig zag pattern it out.
  19. When you say poor setup, do you mean poor quality components or actual setup of the components? Would Jack be Jack Meeks? That name does sound familiar when i heard of the frames previous owners.
  20. Many thanks for all replies. I have been running a 160 disc. Using a front 160 mount, then using v brake convex washers thick ones at top, small at bottom. Worked very well, just struggling with holding power of the 160mm. You may just about be able to spot it on this prior picture. Could i try different pads maybe?
  21. Morning all, Im currently running a 160mm disc on my zoot, generally the hold is reasonable but not totally confidence inspiring. The rear disc mount was snapped when i bought the frame, i redrilled a hole in the meat left over. Are the disc mounts on these frames strong enough for 180 disc, or would i be pushing my luck? Would i be better off utilising the 4 bolt Magura mount? Your opinions, stories, experiences are greatly appreciated.
  22. Might just be the offset straight blade forks but that head angle looks very steep. Nice looking bike still.
  23. I've been looking for picture of black bike with white bars. I like it.
  24. Well i destroyed two hope bulbs, so agreed i can see this ending in injury.
  25. I'm now running a budget Quanta hub, which was previously on an xc wheelset i built. I drilled the qr stubs out to use a solid m10 axle. 36 POE on alloy freehub. Umm.. Sketchy.
