  1. It's the timing belt pulley I need to shift, not the v belt :$ yeah it must be threaded for the v belt pulley to attach, maybe I can just make a plate puller to suit it?
  2. That's what I wondered, although whats stopping me still having the bolt in there just not fully done up? Is this sort of thing more suitable?
  3. Cheers Ed but i'll be in Suffolk when I do it! Happy to order one as it would be handy to have knocking about I need to remove no.6 to do the seal, will a normal gear puller be able grip no.6?
  4. I need to remove a v belt crank pulley... any recommendations on a budget yet not too shite puller?
  5. Change of plan, whipping the engine out is easier than removing all the transaxle shite and gives me a chance to spruce up the engine with new seals and paint. So far my total of parts is £300, eurgh
  6. Eurgh, clutch and release bearing are both in desperate need of replacement, I really CBA to have the transaxle out to do it, such a big effort!
  7. That's a little bit nice, very jealous!
  8. Perfect excuse for some pressed plates then
  9. Just loaded the car, I'll be in the white porsche today. I don't own waterproofs...it'll be reeeeeeet!
  10. Met up with some other 924 owners, had some bits fixed on my car and got fed awesome food. Good day!
  11. I'll ride whatever, I liked all the rocky bits last time
  12. I'm slow, as long as I get my occasional rests then I should be fine
  13. We all know fork boots held in more muck than they kept out
  14. I think i'm just being a pussy as I can't be bothered to service my forks after a muddy ride :$
  15. Been a while hasn't it? Means my camper is now tax free shame it's nowhere near roadworthy yet
  16. It's mud and water, the spring side was fairly full of poop when I got it but I must have not got all of it out! I've had the lowers in the dishwasher this evening, far better! This is the dude with massive wear, hopefully they will last me the summer! I remember reading about drilling the z1s, and shimming too. I think I chucked away my z1 spares, I'll have a look next time I'm back they are yours if I find them!
  17. This is normal when you service your forks right? I knew these coil pikes I got were knackered when I bought them (got them cheap enough so didn't really mind) but I didn't realise they were this bad on one side! That's the lower leg oil after 10 rides, they still work perfectly though! Once Ed buys my Reba's I can hunt out for some really decent air pikes as I think these suit my bike nicely but are on the chubby side
  18. All going well I can make this, fingers crossed the weathers reasonable!
  19. Not sure if that's supposed to be a sarcy response, but I just wanted to make sure you didn't die!
  20. That fan ideas not safe, the vapours will get drawn into the motor and can ignite. You need a belt driven fan with the motor enclosed to prevent a bang!
  21. Surely you need the extra beef for twatting things with hammers on it?
  22. That's what I seem to remember on my other cars. Looks like I may need to find a new box
