Rim will be quite a lot less strong, weight reduced by ~60g. Unless you are super smooth I wouldn't recommend it, you could save that sort of weight just by changing your tube.
Hey Joel,
If you haven't already, try emailing maxime@k-124house.com. He's the K-124 House manager I believe, he should be able to help hopefully!
Thanks,
Adam
Does that mean good? Why good?
We don't want our website full of 'dis prt iz shit m8 i bruk it in 5 minz LOL'... If there is a bad review of a product with genuine reasons then it will, of course, be left up.
That means the crank isn't tight on the BB though, so it will wreck the crank splines.
It's an unfortunate incompatibility issue, with the main 'culprit' as the freewheel, as it's the most non-standard of those parts
It depends what spacing you'll be running on your cassette - 8 speed spacing or 9 speed spacing?
If you are planning to run 6 gears you'll need 9 speed spacing, which would need a specific 9 speed cassette. I would recommend 5 speed or less, then you can run a good chain like Trialtech Lite Z610.
What, not at all?
The 'proper' use of a bashplate is the same as a bashring, so in my opinion you might as well just have a stronger, lighter frame without a bashplate mount and fit a bashring instead.
