  1. so you went to TartyBikes, saw this pics but didn't think to look around the rest of the site? Tarty sell those componants, so use the menu bar on the left-side to find your choice of coloured rims/bars/cranks/headset etc.

  3. none of the 247 games are a patch on RedLynx's "Trials Construction Yard" and that mountainbike game was terrible! (here's a link to a demo of T.C.Y.) http://www.miniclip.com/games/trials-construction-yard/en/
  4. kris - i'm glad you put it up! i had to leave all my dvds in the uk when i moved, and this was the only redeeming feature about that first MBUK dvd - so at least i have it now. (btw - that HUUUUUUUUUUUUGE pavement gap is off the map, as is the huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge drop to skip) thanks, mate
  5. the drop to the skip was far from shite wasn't it? c'mon - you can admit it...it's ok... (btw - you've got the best avatar on the forum - by far!)
  6. that's a no brainer! no offence Neil, but who'd want a used frame from him? it's gonna be hammered to hell and back (such is the way when you're doing the envelope-pushing riding that Neil does)
  7. there's only one word for that bike colour: gay
  8. neil - ever thought of building a really extreme and kick-ass trials course and video yourself clearing that, rather than a collection of individual moves? just an idea... cheers
  9. as an ex-owner of a 2005 Saracen 2.Six MAD, let me answer your questions in turn! they ride great. super stable on the rear wheel - easy to flick. shorter than the old (black/white 2004) model? yes, i believe they are i don't think so. i only used the stock rim on the rear and it was pretty tight with new Plasmatic Spanish FLy pads in a HS33, so a 38mm wide rim may be pushing it a bit no more or less than any other frame - any frame will dent/crack/snap easily if you abuse it enough nope - neither do they have any mounts for one i did some research into this myself (including contacting Matt Barlow (MAD rider)). the only frame difference between the red and silver is the 4-bolt Magura mount - other than that they are the same frame i have noooooooooooooo idea! i ended up changing everything on my 2.Six with the exception of the rear rim, derailleur and shifter! well - a mate of mine from wales who rode a 2005 Echo Pure said that my 2.Six rode and handled better. most other people that rode it also commented on how stable it was and how it was a 'no suprises' ride: it did what you expected it to! below is a pic of the evolution of my 2.Six, from when i first had it to when i had to sell it last year (i only sold it cause i moved to the USA and couldn't bring it with me - i regret it to this very day!) i hope some of that helped answer your questions. cheers
  10. no worries - and my apologies for my post - i thought this was another case of "ooh, i didn't know you were asian/a girl/black" etc as you said, it doesn't matter who the rider is... again - my apologies for any offence caused
  11. *taps screen* "hello - is this 1974?" "...to my surprise it was a black guys site" - you're such a cock!
  12. no type "t-vee", "onza", "superbikes" or "ashton" into google (jeeeesh - how did people ever exist before forums? oh - that's right - they went looking for things themselves!)
  13. how long has Martyn been using a disc up front? i thought he was a staunch (look it up) HS33 guy?

if the best calliper disc brake with the biggest rotor don't give you "enough power" then it's definately not bedded in properly! here's how i bed in rotors. please note that you'll need some water ina container first. 1 - check that you still have a good amount of brakeing surface left on your pads 2 - find somewhere flat - or with a 'slight' downward slope 3 - apply the front brake enough so the pads touch the rotor, but not so much that you can't pedal forwards 4 - ride around for about a minute: it'll be like riding up a steep slope, and your legs will burn, so be prepared to sweat for it! 5 - ride to where you have your source of water (running hose/waterbottle/camelbak/cup of water!) and quickly jump off the bike and spray the rotor with water (it's even better if someone else is on standby with the water so they can wet the rotor for you). due to the friction heat you've built up, you should get a small burst of steam from the rotor. 6 - do this 3 times i'd replace the cable as well and check that the BB7 calliper is setup properly (offset 2/3 to the inside as per the manual) hope that helps some
  16. Onza T-Vee Ashton Justice 20" if you can't be arsed to type those into google and do a search, then there's no hope for you - so don't expect other people to do the work for you!
  17. ian drummond used to ride one and he threw that thing round like a beast! they're a very "marmite" bike - you either love em or hate em jonny jones (trialmedia) used to run one as a single speed with short travel Marz's - twas a mighty rig
  18. 1 - to avoid eating concrete, when applying the front brake going downhill drop your arse right down low over the back wheel! once, my hs33 died on me half way through a session and i only had my Mono Mini to stop me on the ride home, so i soon learned that trick. i went from about 15mph to 'stop' in about 18' - pulled a 'front skid too! 2 - Avid BB7s don't lack modulation (i've got a pair on my DH rig) but when you set them up for trials, you don't want modulation anyways
  19. i've managed to get hold of a Halo Combat multi rim, which will be the first rim on this bike. if that doesn't work out, i'll be swapping it for the Sun BigMammothFat that's on my DH rig. so - black Halo Combat on DMR Revolver s/s hub with black DT Swiss, wrapped with a Nokian DH innertube and a Maxxis Minion DHR SuperTacky 2.5" i'm looking forward to it!

  22. just that should keep you busy for a month! when you say "the south", would that include Porthcawl?
  23. thing is - i'm trying to get the rim BEFORE the frame so that i can fit it and ride! i don't wanna be waiting X weeks for delivery of a rim after i get this bike!
  24. i've got one on the front of my Kona Stab Dee-Lux...and it's an absolute b*stard to get tyres on and off! i broke 2 tyre levers trying to get a steel bead Maxxis High Roller off - had to swap to kevlar beaded Tioga DH2.5s to get em to fit!
  25. nothin boyo - but it's a bit 'chubby' here's the facts ma'am - nuthin' but the facts!
