Hey I thought i'd just do a quick topic to say "hi" to those guys i saw/met in Leeds today. I wasn't a total random guy perving on you - honest . I'm sorry i didn't have enough time to explain my situation fully ... so here it goes ... I'm moving up to Leeds (Yeadon) so i'm looking for new friends . I had my car double parked so i had to get your numbers rather shapish before i got a ticket. Thats about it really... you seemed rather busy riding but i hope to talk to you next time if you make a little time for me! . Thanks for the number Ben and i hope to see some people soon Cheers Neil P.S. I may bring my bike to Leeds this weekend if anyone is around. I've not ridden much and i'm pretty crap normally, but i like to have a good laugh ! XxX

I honestly can't thank you guys enough for the positive comments . Firstly the helmet...I lost my visor and never got round to getting a nice helmet . I honestly don't normally look that stupid...!! Leeds...Well i've got a great job up there, i've been training down South and this week i've been treated to lobster dinners and hopefully i'll be getting a BMW as a company car - even though they've given me a Vectra for 3months (hire car)! Its a massive opportunity and is the best graduate scheme in the UK so i've got to give it a go. I just want to say that all the guys in the RG crew will be sorely missed - I've had some of the best times of my life with these guys and i just hope i'll be back down South and get back on the bike! Thanks for being such great guys. I can't explain how much you all mean to me! XxXxXxX Ross you actually bought a tear to my eye when i read this thread - great vid and i'm only sorry i didn't get some more footage. Love you all and i'll see EVERYBODY soon enough i promise! XxX

Ahh shit - I can't really make it! I've got to go back to a hotel in Chessington for work on Sunday - but i will try and pop my head out to say hello, but won't have a bike Neil

I'll be down in Pompey seeing a lady friend - will try and make it out for a few hours . Neil XxX

A great place to look is in the supermarkets, as they have those "Wanted/for sale" walls - this way you know the area as the adverts are local. I'd also recommend a ford as you can always pick up cheep parts, reliable.....i loved my lil fiesta - could not fault it! Neil

Helicoil... Update 17th Oct!... Need To Source Bolts
Clownbike replied to Sponge's topic in Trials Chat
Hey Sponge I myself have used a M5 hellicoil in a M6 size hole. The result was not bad but i only rode it for about 2/3 weeks. It did seem to hold under a lot of pressure. If you have M6 bolts i'd stick with them - If you do not have any i can throw some your way . Next time you need to drill 5.5 then put in an M5 hellicoil. BTW I'll get those pics asap! Neil EDIT - Pics in your email -
My favourite so far! Neil

Very impressed . Stick with those bunnyhops too! Neil

Just got a text from Ross to watch this - it better be good connor, i stopped doing paper work for this. I'll edit when done. EDIT: Arrgghhh 2.48 - WTF! Really well done mate . Great vid with some large moves in there too!! Keep it up!! EDIT2: I thought i should mention the final line was awsome, just so different and smooth . Neil XxX

You're so much better on a 20"! I think it has increased your progession rate a heck of a lot - Well done ! What frame is that (mod)? Reminds me of an Azonic DS2 . Neil

Mhhmmm some good stuff guys, keep it up!
-
Hey It looks nice and i'm sure you'll be very happy with it.

Its OK JT, buy low then sell high. I honestly thought this thread was going to be about a uni student deciding to drink or save...would have been an easy one! EDIT: just a Quick thing - shares are an investment not really savings. So if you were to save with HBOS etc (high rate saver/ISA) you'd have more money than either of the options.

I don't get it? So you decided to unbolt the bench and put it on your/someobody else's car? What was the point in that? I could have understood if you were maybe going to ride the bench/create some line etc, but now there is no point to what you've done. I'm not a grumpy old man, i mean in my youth we were pretty crazy. I remember one time we ran away from 2 security guards...at the same time! But it seems your fun is more disruptive and doesn't have much of a point and then you post it on the forum?! Why? Personally i think its unecessary vandalism. Some may say trials is also, however in my opinion it is not as i am NOT purposefully vandalising something...it just happens. I know you'll say it was a bit of fun, but not everybody will see it like that. Neil

Lol you guys I'd say Zoot for BMX type riding - spins and bunnyhops and T-rex for anything else. (just as sombody else has said:p)

RIP Hobbsie XxX

Best mod i'v ever ridden... I've always had a good front brake, but this front brake felt amazing . Boyz got some style on it too
-
Matt, I'm in total shock....you've got loads better! The last time i saw you couldn't have been that long ago... :$. Either way keep it up old chap!
-
Perfect - But i've seen you and Dave do some silly things when i went to Southampton once. Ace stuff and keep it up! Neil

Well...I personally thought the clips showed some excellent riding. I do prefer this to a lot of your other videos as they usually scare me due to the "atmosphere" and music - this feels a lot more relaxed. In relation to your previous thread; Personally I'd call it "street riding" rather than "street trials", (i don't think the staple move of trials i.e. the "kickhop" was involved). Just because you have a trials frame doesn't make it "street trials". Obviously you feel more comfortable on a trials frame at the end of the day, so just leave it at that people. I don't get why people have such a problem with it. Also you don't have to put a lable on it, you should just ride to have fun. There are more imprortant things to worry about in life... I'm looking forward to the next vid - maybe a few bunnyhops would be nice . Keep up the good work and smile a bit in your next vid . Take care, Neil P.S. you must go through a fair few frames?

Smooth as fcuk Adz - love it! But seriously you're going to have to learn to use that front brake at some point - can you do an endo? Just messing! You know you've got Rossy G into Frenchies. I tried and failed . See you soon, Neil
