  1. I would take the T-Rex. But they are quite different frames so that may or may not be the best choice for your riding style. Seeing as they are mates maybe try to borrow them both, build one up and try it for a bit then swap the frame over and see which you prefer?
  2. I would try and get a replacement if its fairly new, then sell it and put the money towards something else
  3. Plaz on a dead grind works awesomely on the back for me. And heatsink blues on a unground front gives nice (some) modulation which feels good
  4. lol Thats what I had before, but it was second hand so i sold it in favour of the echo thinking that a brand new rim would be a better idea You cant buy them anymore can you?
  5. Mine looks like that but not as bad, had it since they first came out. I am alot smoother now than i was before, so i think if i was given a new one now it would fair alot better. Also my build was rubbish and i took no care of my wheel :$ So i dont think that helped. What else is there on the market thats a suitable alternative? (thinking ahead here for when it eventually dies)
  6. F-Stop Junkie do you have any links to your ride pics? I imagine them to be good but couldn't seam to find any. Constructive criticism is good All this camera talk is encouraging me to 1: use my camera more, and 2: buy a new camera
  7. Or install the FasterFox extension and it does it all for you (except it sets network.http.pipelining.maxrequests to 8 instead of 30)
  8. Looks like a nice place to ride. When are you guys next going out? Hastings this weekend maybe?
  9. The text on the first of the new ones is super hard to read
  10. It is just the pic. Its the same location as the last pic, which shows the size better Glad its not just me that makes stupid faces when i ride
  11. I for one would definitely be interested in those mounts when they are available, my pads are nearly dead and the last time i changed them i had to grind alot or material off the pad Thats on a T-Rex with an Echo 06 rim and CRMs btw
  12. Got mine today A day after i expected them, but thats fine. They seam like good shoes, I got the Disciple's
  13. My old car. This was written off when someone decided the highway code didnt apply to them ONE YEAR LATER the insurance company agreed it was his fault and finally paid out. Now i drive this, kind of sucks for bikes though, but thats why you have friends with big cars
  14. Maybe tyres or pads depending what you have already And a quality chain and helmet if you dont have them already Or just save your money for when parts need replacing
  15. I would go for the 127.5mm. Im running a 128mm ISIS BB on mine. I did have a 118mm on there before but I had to run a 20t chainring as the 22t hit the chainstay. HTH Also look here
  16. Same Least the Guano Apes made it worth flicking through. No offence to her, it was okay. Just not all it was hyped up to be
  17. Cheers Mark Didnt realise until after I had ordered that they are only down the road from me Never heard of them before though, but then im not a BMXer
  18. Just to update everyone Alex has been in touch quite alot over the last couple of days and it looks like a claim is being made through royal mail (which can take up to 30 days). I will update again when the situation changes/is resolved Thank you
  19. Surely the reason why you would bother is because you are an honest person? What was wrong with the post you quoted? What did i say that needed apologizing for? My post basically said that I am giving you a chance, it looks like it is being sorted at the moment and that i accept the delay my be in part due to the quality of the postal service we enjoy in this country. What was wrong with that? Also just so you know, I was not going to reply to this post as i didn't want to bring it back to the top unnecessarily. The only reason I did was because other people are still posting and looking at it and i felt they should know that you are trying to sort it out. AKA i was, in part, defending you
  20. Well I am trying to do that and we are trying to sort it out by email at the moment. But it has been since December which im sure you can appresiate is frustrating, even if it some of the blame is on royal mail.
  21. Update: I have received the card now, however it appears to be faulty and doesn't work in THREE different high spec computers. Ordinarily I would give the seller the benefit of the doubt and assume the card goto damaged in transit. Which as it was sent special delivery and covered for up to £500 insurance you wouldn't have thought it would be have been a problem. However as I have received absolutely no indication what so ever from Alex that he is prepared to do anything to resolve the situation I can only assume that he knew it was faulty before he sold it to me. Alex, if you would actually reply to your PMs/Emails/MSN messages from me then i wouldn't have to do this on the forum

    Bike Locks

I used to have the New York, it was good Although no one ever tried to steal my bike so i guess i wouldn't really know Now i use the Abus Granit Steel-O-Flex 1000, which is a cable lock rather than a d lock. And its just as good if not better. But it doesn't have the same guarantee as the Kryptonite if you are bothered about that, its also worth noting that the money back thing only applies for a year. But I still wouldn't feel comfortable leaving my bike anywhere as they will always find something to steal from it, or they will get pissed off that they cant steal it and cut the brake hoses or something silly Edit: The reason I changed to the Abus if anyone is wondering is that my bike insurance wouldnt cover theft with the Kryptonite New York, which is stupid as they are both in the same class. So its worth checking with your insurance company which locks they approve.
  23. :The Short Story: I brought some parts from Alex and it doesnt look like I will be recieving them as he no longer responds to PM/Email/MSN. What should i do about it? Does anyone have any other contact details for him? :The Long Story: On the 14/12/05 he advertised for sale a 6800GT. 18/12/05 I agreed to purchase the item for £110 and posted him a cheque. 22/12/05 i recieved a PM saying that the cheque had arrived. 7/1/06 i recieved a PM saying that the cheque had cleared and the item would be posted soon. 17/1/06 i recieved a PM saying that the card had been posted. 27/1/06 i recieved a PM saying not to worry and saying that the card was posted last Thursday (19/1/06). I was also told that the post office were having problems so it might take a little longer than usual. 9/2/06 i recieved a PM saying he had just moved house and was going on the post office on that day to enquire about the parcel 12/2/06 i recieved a PM asking for my address again to trace the parcel 18/2/06 i recieved a PM saying the card had been located at Southampton depot with damaged packaging, and would be back at his local post office on the 20/2/06 for him to collect, repack, and post out again the same day. This is the last PM i sent him (25/2/06) and have not recieved a reply even though he is on here every day Is it just me worrying or not? I will post a full appology if the situation resolves itself Also if someone could link him to this topic I would be greatful, incase he for some reason hasnt recieved me PMs/Emails/MSN messages
  24. Doesnt sound like a very fun game to me
