Just transferred some koxx brown material to some TNN CNC backings that i have, had to glue the material in with some epoxy and shoved them in the oven to go off. I didn't try them before, but they wont clip over the nipple on the pistons. any ideas? Secondly i bought some trialtech single speed spacers a month or so ago and finally got round to trying them, removed all the burrs on the freehub body, used a rubber mallet to try tapping the first one on, but they just wont go on. Tried them on a different rear King, Pro2, and a few other hubs i have in the garage and none of them fit, has this happened to anyone else?

If the hub is the same and the erd of the rims is the same there wont be any issues

Because of the larger axle diameter, Isis BB's tend to have smaller bearings compared to square tapers BB's. Obviously with the impacts and loading that you get from trials on the bearings they used to die pretty quickly, its the same reason mountain bikes went to external bearings, you can retain the large diameter axle for better strength but also increase the size of the bearings and their ability to handle loads and as such increase their lifespan. But with the square taper, its totally normal for the cranks to settle over a period of time.

That is pretty damn short by todays standards, i started out on a Pashley ghz which measured up around the 1040mm mark. If you look what trials riders from 5-10 years ago were riding and seeing what they were doing, a short bike isn't really an excuse, but it certainly doesn't help

Nothing really, just a darn sight cleaner looking without, one less thing you've got to buy, 100grams less weight really its just because frames look nice without having extra blot on adapators really What like getting an Ashton.........

Isn't 6 months warranty on trials part pretty much standard.... so what's the big deal? I think the main issue is, people will potentially spend £650 on an ugly and heavy frame... not a good time!

Personally i think thats absolutely gorgeous hate to think what it costs though!

By "universally available" i meant a standard bearing size that you can buy off the shelf rather than a manufacturer specfic custom sized bearing. Obviously for the manufactures it means you have to buy their bearings and gives them a strangle hold over it, but for availability and for interchangability between frames a standard bearing should be used. I appreciate that different disciplines require different things, but would it not be wise to adopt a standard if it was introduced into the DH/FR market? I agree introducing an industry wide standard for all disciplines would be very difficult and negate a lot of the benefits and needs of each discipline. I don't know if i'd want to buy a frame that wasn't post weld machined, knowing how inconsistantly some trials frame can be put together the idea doesn't fill me with confidence. Surely you'd want the bearings to be as near to perfectly aligned as possible?

Got to say if the format went industry wide, the way its creeping into high end road and xc bikes then i'd be all for it, it would most likely mean higher production costs for frame manufacturers due to the post weld machining of the bottom bracket cups and it would in my mind need a universally available bearing size to be adopted as the standard. But i think the benefits of the sytem outweigh its cons.

6" stainless steel ruler, cut it to size, drill the sppropriate size holes and you're sorted, stronger than the originals and can tube to the length you require. I use one, made one up for Luke Rainbird and he uses it and i beleive Rowan Johns uses one... no issues at all.

They do look a little bland, but certainly a slight improvement over last years. Have there been any improvements made to the frame itself?

All the times i've ridden plymouth and never known about that little undercover bit... shall have to check it out next time i'm down.
