Not in the snow, but when everything has been covered in ice, snow is preferable to ice thats for sure.

It's exactly the same splined interface as used on the majority of bikes Road and MTB's with gears, it's also used on the Hope Pro2 Trials and the Chris King Single speed hub. The Shimano HG (Hyper Glide), so it's a standard with a fairly proven track record.
-
That's one of the main reasons. But a splined interface is better capable at taking the loads applied to them than a screw thread. No more stripped free wheel/crank threads, no seized threads and no cross threading. Stronger more durable interface which has the added bonus of being a darn sight easier to take on and off, gone are the days where you need a 4 foot scaffold pole in your tool kit.

Can't see why the BB would have to be any wider than at present, the only extra width would come from the lock ring and that's only a few mm or so.
-
Alex you keep going on that the reach on that bike is huge. It's pretty similar to the 2010 Koxx Sky range, the same as my Limey and a bit less than a 2010 Control. It just looks big on you that's all. For some reason it feels bigger than when I had a Limey 3.

Definitely a step forwards. Nice that they're using the HG standard, makes things easier for other companies to follow suit; hope it catches on!
-
Definitely keep them black, gives a it a subtle look. Get some higher bars on there too

No but someone that likes pimping their bike and can afford it does... Looks sweet, get some better pics up

I had that when i was younger, as has been said you should grow out of it, a bugger until you do
-
Videos of you guys riding needs to be seen. Can remember bumping into you at Looe with Rich Pearson a year or so ago, old school trials kings style, awesome to watch.
-
It's the first thing i said to Luke when i got it built, the top tube and chainstays need to be in line and then it would be sweet.
-
That is damn lovely very jealous

In response to when it's coming out I don't honestly know, I'm not sure if it's destined for further tweaking; so I won't say.

Had this for a little while, geo isn't perfect but certainly not bad. Rides unsurprisingly like a very flicky trialsy stock or a mod which you can tap and roll things a lot lot easier. Waiting on Tarty to get a few bits back in stock and then it'll be sorted. Frame: Onza Ice 24" trials Forks: Echo Urbans Front wheel: Hope XC hub, Atomlab DHR rim, DMR Moto digger (to be changed to TryAll CNC hub/Echo TR rim. Rear: Echo TR/Hope Pro 2 trials, Schwalbe Fat Albert 2.4, Trialtech 14t Cranks: Middleburn ISIS 175mm, TNN all in one 18t bash, truvativ gigapipe DH BB, Wellgo MG1 pedals Rear Brake: Pre 05 lever, Fresh Products lever blade, Echo cnc clamps, Heatsink CNC reds, RB booster, braided hoses. Front Brake: Hope Mono Trial 180mm Stem: TryAll NUC 125x25 Bars: TrialTech Hi-Rise, TrialTeach foam grips Headset: CaneCreek S3 Geo: 1055 WB +47 BB 384 CS Weight: According to some cheapo scales just under 10KGs Big thanks to Joe Poyzer and Joe Seddon at Onza

I think i'm going to be in the same boat. Can't currently get out my village and even if i could apparently there is a tractor pulling you up the hill in your car one at a time a few villages on...
-
Well he wasn't riding it when we were out about a month ago...

This, one generally follows the other, but when you're tense/holding your breath you'll make jerky uncontrolled movements which certainly wont help you to balance. Try and get hold of a copy of tricks and stunts, it's got some really good tips.

Sweet vid! Really liked the first line

The V booster on CRC is made of plastic and i'm sure someone on here tried one with not so favourable results. Try and get one second hand from here or from ebay, I managed to get a Salsa carbon booster and it's awesome. Apart from the Onza lime pads not being so great, the added width you'll get from running those and the pad adaptors could make set up difficult, get yourself a set of TNN, Rock or Heatsink vee pads and backings and you'll be sorted in the long run. If you can't afford those a set of the inspired pads will be an improvement over standard black pads. Out a wanted thread up in the wanted section for what you want and see what comes up.

Don't bother with Magura's if you don't have Magura mounts. A well set up vee brake with a booster will never have the same level of bite as a Magura but the amount of hold they offer is amazing. Decent pads, Linear Slic outer cable, Shimano Deore arms, avid lever and a decent booster and you'll be sorted
-
Pretty sure that the majority of people buy and use CNC backings so they only have to buy cheaper material inserts, saving money in the long run and for the benefit of a stiffer more positive feel at the lever. But as has been said, if the frame is visibly flexing then try a booster.
