  1. I'm sure i'll pop down there with Joe at some point, cheers Nick.
  2. How tall are you? Being around the 5'8 mark my limey came out at around 1085 +35 with Rockman forks, it's pretty much down to finding a suitable stem and bar combo to get the reach right. When I was running disc on the rear of my bionic a few years ago I used a 200mm rotor with a BB7 calliper. Wasn't as solid feeling at the lever as a hope or a magura, nor did it have the bite and hold of either, it was good, but not that good. Wheel flex wasn't that noticeable although I am a little lighter than you at 70Kgs. Should be all right with a decent disc brake and wheel build.

    New Hs33 Brake

Makes sense I guess, have to sell to your market and unfortunately we are only a very small part of it.

    New Hs33 Brake

I dont know the lack of replaceable lever is a bit poo, seems a bit of a standard part when it comes to disc brake levers; so why not maguras?
  5. Awesome riding, love watching old school vids.
  6. Sweet stuff, big moves and some nice lil other bits in their too, certainly a little different to the normal mod vids.
  7. Sweet stuff matey, bikes a bit shiny too. What was the tune?
  8. The 26" first batch frames had issues with the top tubes cracking due to the tubing being too thin and the internal hose routing holes causing a stress riser, some cracked at the dropouts; these issues were sorted with the second batch (the white frames). But the frames have been out for a year, hardly rushing to get a new design out; the Limey 4 20" is out as Joe has been screaming for a shorter, higher lighter frame for a while. Fair enough wrong of me to speculate.
  9. If you're a hard rider i'd go for the Limey, solid frames that will more likely take a bit more punishment than the speedrace.

    Deng?

A set of Urbans as my Rockman forks died on me
  11. I doubt there are any riders at all, or most will ahve the ability to get into Bristol. You aren't that far from Yate, you could get the train in from there....
  12. A torx bit has always done the job for me. Tap it in gently, but make sure it is all the way in to allow it to get maximum bite on the bolt and slowly undo it. It may not have been constructive, but the comment is fair, the amount of people that round bolts and strip threads purely because they just hang off the end of their tools and do everything up as tight as they can. Not ideal really.
  13. Looks pretty good Stu, how are you finding little wheels?
  14. I'd go back and re-edit that one, it makes no sense at all. The point is with these bikes, as with the Fourplay, the people looking at them and potentially intrigued by them will "get" the reasoning behind the seat, the geo etc. I don't think the brand will need to reach out to a new generation as there is a pretty select market out there that will want these bikes, will know about them already, will understand the reasoning behind them and will buy them. Think with the bit I've highlighted, if I'm deciphering it right, then you're thinking a little too in depth about the marketing and promotion about a very specialist piece of kit in a very small market (you're chatting shit).
  15. Not a waste of time, but they run a lot better on a light grind.
  16. Rusevelt, shut up. Showed more balance and control on that than a lot of people in their vids can demonstrate.
  17. It's made by Hygia (think that's how it's spelt?), only tried the one's that we're on Joe Seddon's 18" bike but seemed pretty good.
  18. Acronym, subtle difference between the two, but i don't think anyone i've ever met has pronounced ut as if it was anything but an acronym.
  19. If you're getting back pain, try a higher stem so you aren't as stretched out. Does indeeds look like an 04 Pitbull, pretty tidy; Rich Pearson ran one for a bit and enjoyed it.
  20. Only one's that i've experience with on a trials bike that are good for trials are: Hope mono trials Magura Louise Avid BB7
  21. Yes is would work, yes it would be powerful; it's just not designed for trials it's heavy and overbuilt for DH and Freeride, that's why they make the lighter mono trials with the same sized pistons.
  22. The Hayes isn't a good XC brake let alone a good trials brake. V2's are for freeride/DH and as such are hefty compared to a Hope Mono Trials which offers the same power. A BB7 if set up correctly with a good cable and lever will feel absolutely fine and offer lots of power, hence they're used by lots of trials riders.
  23. Not going by his crash vid and the fact he's asking if the tread on a tyre of this cost will last long or not. Seriously if you're buying that tyre that you're buying it because you want lots of grip and minimal weight, not a hard wearing tyre.
