  1. Crap grind? Not bedded in? Poorly set up? Poor bleed? Could be many many things. But certainly a grind over tar.
  2. I would say it was a good day indeeds. Was nice to get out and ride some rocks
  3. So NO ONE has given an I9 a thorough testing at a high level for TRIALS abuse?......... Then I see no reason to trust it.
  4. Myself and Mr Seddon will be heading down for about 12 at Bone hill
  5. Granted i do tend to use the brakes on my 24" as little as possible i guess i just like the security net they give if something goes wrong... I'm sure if Rowan comes out next weekend i'll be giving it a bash.
  6. The reason he advised getting a stock was because the Zoo Python you were talking about is a mod frame. Are you sure its the frame flexing, it could well be on that age frame and not the wheel itself?
  7. Why, to join the brakeless northern crew!?! Btw myself and Mr Rainbird will be heading up to Brizzol for a roll on the 24" toys next thurs and friday if you're about Bike looks pretty nice Adam, agree with the change in forks, its long! Don't think i have the balls to try brakeless on the 24" :$
  8. Then If you're getting nowhere surely it's not because you haven't included a picture of yourself, but how you've written your CV or how you've structured/worded your covering letter that you have(n't) included. I'd look at those two things, give it to any professionals that you may know and see how they would improve it. There is a very distinct method and art to writing a good CV.
  9. Cool well unless its totally pissing it down i'll be coming up from a night out in Plymouth. Where abouts are you looking at riding?
  10. Trying to get Joe to switch shifts to ride on Saturday, Ben Moore might head down too.
  11. Aren't they what Andy Ponting uses? Seemed to engage ok when i played on his bike, but felt a little spongey for some reason, certainly not as solid as a King or a Pro 2.
  12. Tempted to get some of these TNN V pads, backings look sweet, love the machined in concave washer, making the whole set up slimmer and allowing a wider rim or a full amount of pad material to be used. What is the LGM material like compared to the CRM compound i'm currently using on a dead grind, the CRm pads seem to hold very well but give a nice amount of modulation, not overly concerned with bite as they'll be on my 24".
  13. I run Koxx Brown material in TNN backings, its a relatively easy thing to do. The ends of each bit that insert into the backing need trimming down and maybe the center bit, but thats it, takes about 2 minutes to trim the material from the powerpad backings to fit the TNN cnc backings.
  14. They look like bmx race forks, I wouldn't trust them for trials.
  15. Lovely Jubly! Bessel the new TF comical personality, has Adam set himself a challenge to be as cheeky as he can to some randomer on every ride you film? If so i love it. Mr Goddard ripping some nice lil lines too. Nice.
  16. This. make sure you clamp it securely and watch your fingers.
  17. Lets be honest trials specific 24" bikes are a pretty new plus the majority of 24" bikes out there at the moment aren't used for "proper" trials so i don't think it's fair to say that 24" wheeled bikes aren't any good for trials. A lot of it is down to set up and compromising on what you want to do with the bike. I'm sure you could set up any 24" bike to be a lot better for "proper" trials but would lose out on the spinny, techy side. Plus there is the style and technique you have to ride with, a combination of 20" and 26" riding styles; they may not be as good for taps but you can bunny hop them a lot more easily than a 26". Basically its down to set-up and adapting your technique to the bike.
  18. Sweet vid some really good riding and put together to your usual high standard Jonny. Need to go and ride Oxford again now i'm not staying there. Some spots I hadn't seen before. Was nice to see i'm not the only one that's had a run in with a security guard who was a bit odd in Oxford
  19. awesome- something that is amazing, impressive, awe inspiring. Bike looks really nice
  20. I don't find riding proper trials on my 24" too bad, just can't gap as far and end up with bruises on my thighs from tapping. I've got mine set up with a 100x10* stem and some high rise bars and it seems fine.
  21. Robin wasn't suggesting get rid of yours, merely strip the shit panels off yours and swap them for the good panels on the tidy but mechanically f**ked rocco? Save muchos money
  22. The company name isn't so i guess its not an issue.
