  1. I'm with Adam, got a Sensation at the start of the month. Hasn't blinked or coughed yet, which is a pretty good track record for an Android / smart phone. Coupled with a decent camera and screen, it's a powerful bit of kit. I'd suggest it to be more than enough for the average user.
  2. I voted Iron Man since there's more than enough explodey shit going on to fill in 2:30 worth of trailer. Just my 2¢.
  3. As said, warns will stay on there until a mod reduces your warn percentage (if they do). For instance, I've got 20% warn for flaming some utter bellend on 1st January 2008. Basically, stop being a fanny and you'll be fine.
  4. I see your lobster dog and raise you, two lobster dogs!
  5. 13th September and it's just PC atm. I think there were plans for a console launches eventually - but the devs are only a small team. I have been debating dropping £20 on it but I'll be in your shoes in a month and I don't think there'll be much point I'll have to add it to the list of games that everyone will have forgotten about by the time I leave uni, along with BF3.
  6. If you're after a realistic shooter, the CoD series probably isn't the place to look. Besides, Bad Company 2 has a hardcore mode as well - although it definitely doesn't beat CoD 4 hardcore servers. But if you want a punishing game, Red Orchestra 2 should be the one to get if they tidy it up before release.
  7. Oh god. That looks horrific. Kill streaks that don't reset upon death? Two primary weapons? Semi-auto grenade launchers with a very flat flight trajectory? :barf: Call of Duty really is dead this time.
  8. So, HD has tested fine, a different monitor has been tested and a different GPU has been tested. IMO the likely culprit is the PSU, followed closely by the motherboard. Does the gfx card require power directly from the PSU? And does for gfx card have multiple outputs, or is it just one? Perhaps try a different output method if that's available. Other minor things I'd suggest testing would be a different power socket for the monitor and even a different VGA cable if you used the same one.
  9. Right, got another PSU in this now and it's all working again, huzzah! Old PSU must have been f**ked. And having a peer through the grilles inside it, it appears something's either melted or exploded and melted. Shitty thing.
  10. Ah, not a simple botch job then. I suspected the PSU to be at fault because when the pc is off, the keyboard lights pulse on and off and the speakers blip in time with that as well. It does this even when just plugged into the motherboard power connections. However, when the old PSU is plugged just into the motherboard power, everything seems fine. Not a flawless testing method, I'll admit, it leaves a lot of variables and doubt but it seems as tight as I can get it with what I've got to hand (nothing).
  11. Cheers Muel, I was looking at a Corsair PSU. Although it now appears that it may be a non-issue. Just tried my PSU in my old computer, and this is it, working fine Thing is, I can't test my old PSU in my current rig, because it won't power the gfx card and I brilliantly specced a motherboard without an integrated chip. There wouldn't be a problem with hooking up my old PSU and just connecting the GPU power from my new one would there? And in a slightly related note: Silly old computer. It's got a stupid CPU multiplier of 200 to get this clock speed.
  12. My 550W PSU appears to have shat the bed after about 2 years The 550W was probably way overspec, but I'm going to replace it with a 600W just to be sure. Anyone got any good PSU suggestions? I was thinking Corsair or Coolermaster - they're supposed to be reputable brands in the PSU world I believe.
  13. The dropping signal is the only fault that sounds like it might be a genuine hardware problem. Push that and dependant on their policies, Vodafone might be able to swap it out for a new one. Alternatively, you could try sticking the phone to GSM (2G) network only. It'll slow your data speeds (although it can quickly be set back to dual mode/3G) but will drastically improve your battery life + signal if you're connected to a 3G network most of the time - although battery life tends to be ~a day unfortunately. Another thing you can try would be to restore the phone. That should eliminate any room for software bugs that may be causing your faults.
  14. I was genuinely surprised when I opened the thread and saw that it wasn't in fact Dave tripping out again and forgetting he'd already posted this thread. Also, I want to play Deus Ex now. No idea why.
  15. All I can say is it's definitely network locked; "Insert Correct SIM" is the error Sony Ericsson's give when different network SIM is inserted. If you boot the phone up without a SIM, does an operator splash screen appear on startup?
  16. Successful troll is successful. Someone that hides behind seven proxies and links people to goatse isn't a woman that goes around stabbing police.
  17. Yes I do want the anti-riot vigilantism to continue. IMO, it is so widespread because the main perpetrators have never received any real consequences for their actions. At some stage in their lives, any consequence eventually delivered by police are invalidated as they are recognised authority figures who don't count for anything as they oppress them and their peers. If your everyday, average bloke starts kicking the shit out them, it might hit home that their social equals aren't impressed by their stupid, moronic actions.
  18. Yeeaaaah boooyyy! More of this if there is any!
  19. I'm just going to come out and say it. Halo sucks dick.
  20. A+++ would listen again Not a genre I would normally listen to, but the funk caught me and I want to listen to more! Very nice, Mike.
  21. I don't know a whole lot about router config (just the basics) but if you go to Router Status on the left hand bar, then press Connection Status (at the bottom of the new page), what does it say there? If it's blank, just hit connect in the popup box and it should try to reconnect and then give you the error) It should display your connection error if it's not connecting. If it's along the lines of PAP/CHAP failure it's a login problem and your input username/password is wrong (needs changing in Basic Settings from the left hand bar again). Anything else and I'm stumped. e: This link has the settings that need to be in the router to ensure it connects. I'm not too sure about the differences between the Standard settings and Home Access settings on that link (more than likely will make sense to you as it probably refers to the package you've taken out with O2) but the majority of those settings should be found under the Basic Settings and ADSL Settings on your router.
  22. I haven't had the time to look at it, but my computer is taking ages to turn on. Literally sits at the motherboard splash screen for minutes. Any ideas what the problem is? I've got a sneaking suspicion that the PSU might be shagged. That or the motherboard...
  23. There's a series of RTS games called Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War, which are/were pretty sweet when released - with Dawn of War II: Retribution being the current one out. Also, there's a third person shooter coming out soon under the title of Warhammer 40k: Space Marine which is looking to be pretty good.
  24. At least three of us are protected.
  25. Just an update, the cable arrived (the one Dr.Doom found) and fits nicely - got about a mm of spare room to play with. And for anyone that's interested, I'm 6'2" and the cable is a nice length (3ft / 0.91m) for headphones to mp3 in pocket with little slack! However this little slack leaves very little room to leave the mp3 player lying around (on a table) whilst moving (picking something off the floor). Ideally, I think a 1.5m cable would be a more useful cable in terms of mobility and application.
