  2. I was there last September to ride. Obviously there was nothing happening there but I was really surprised to see that the venue which looks like a full on trials park in these videos is in fact a camping site with some rocks in the garden Great effort transforming this place for the event! I'll try to get as many people from Poland interested as possible.
  3. Very good frame, lovely universally balanced geometry too.
  4. Well the floor was hard, similar to floors in the UK I think I either fainted or fell asleep really quickly, like to believe it's the latter.
  5. Was leaving the toilet yesterday and woke up on the floor with a battered face. At least now I don't have to worry about the cold sore showing too much
  6. I've got a 3mm plate of aluminium which I'd like to change the colour of, something like in the picture below (this is titanium): Is this even possible? I don't need a rainbow, just any colour different to silver will do.
  7. So much effort to hate, when you could just carry on with your life Thoroughly enjoyed this once it got going.
  8. Found my tablet with a cracked screen yesterday morning. It cracked overnight, quite literally on it's own. I'm absolutely gutted, despite this bloody thing still being on warranty there is a slim chance it will get replaced. Although after reviewing detailed pictures Microsoft admit that I could have a case and have agreed to take it in as a factory defect, I think my chances are pretty slim. 1 grand is on the line... Fingers crossed.
  9. You're right, lever blades were a bad example. We need something for the 2005+ HS33, the current HS33 lever blades aren't holding up too well either. It's only the 2 finger ones that are strong-ish and those feel rubbish. If Magura stick with the current HS33 design, it might be an idea to consider such lever blades. As for stems I was thinking more about custom ones made from Ti (I gather the OP would like to use this material). It's probably not going to take much effort to manufacture stems to custom length and rise and some riders might shine to this idea. There are still voids in geometry which need filling in.
  10. Can't stress enough how important this is. Trials is not a massive market, if anything it's already over saturated. There are very few success stories in trials, the most notable recent one being Marino. But their success is based around factors which are not present in the UK, or at least I don't think they are based on my observations. To add to Luke's post, my suggestion would be to treat it as a hobby / after hours activity, not something you plan to make a living out of. Start off with making parts for yourself and perhaps some people you ride with who would be willing to test them. If they're good, the word will spread and perhaps you'll start getting proper customers. Forget bashrings, boosters, brake mounts, levers etc. You will not be able to beat the Chinese in this field, they can manufacture these parts more quickly and cheaply then you ever will. And since these parts are purely functional, few people will want to pay a massive premium over a Chinese booster just because it's made in the UK and looks a bit more fancy. Focus on labour intensive parts like frames, forks, stems. In terms of marketing, I'd recommend starting a basic website which you can use to share technical drawings, CAD images, pics of you welding, vids of parts being milled etc - the more backstage stuff showing how much work and craftsmanship goes into building your frames, the better. I'd build the website around the concept of engineering, not so much the ordinary "these are our products" pages. You yourself want to be a craftsman / expert in your field though this won't happen straight away - it has to stem from experience. That way you'll be able to attract premium customers who are willing to pay a lot for a top notch custom frame and excellent customer service (imperative). Get a name and perhaps a logo if you want the word to spread. Without the former, it's going to be really difficult for anyone to relate to these products.
  11. Does this qualify under crazy rally action footage? 7:30 and onward specifically. I used to compete with this guy and now the stuff he's doing seems utterly insane. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TnnMAZ4fRL0
  12. Wow. You've pretty much turned brakeless into so much more than just riding without brakes. The amount of skill required to complete any line in that video is beyond my comprehension. In that last gap, the place where you land the rear wheel - I'd like to believe it was just luck but I think it shows how much control you have.
  13. Doesn't matter, if you squash a thin tube it will get cut no matter how thick the tyre.
  14. Depends on your riding but if that's a 2 ply tyre, I would consider a ~170g tube a safe minimum. The thing to bare in mind with tubes is that puncture resistance drops more quickly than weight. If you shave 50g off the tube, you might end up pinching it every ride rather than once a month.
  15. Wow, that was really something. Sick moves, great lines, great style and so much power. Kind of reminded me of the days I over-analyzed vids and then went out riding. Nice to experience that again.
  16. Soyrr for this topic but maybe someone can help. When two particles collide in a particle collider, do they physically collapse into other particles they are built of or are these particles created as a result of the energy of collision? You know, the energy = matter formual. Missus seems to think it's physical collapse, I think it's the latter. Loads of energy from the speed of particles being converted into new matter, bosons quarks gluons etc.
  17. What camber are you running front and rear? 960kg with driver is amazingly light!
  18. Wow, that's a lot, I was convinced it'd be in the region of 0.95 in the dry. Amazing performance from those tyres then. I've pulled a maximum of 1.25g lateral on WTCC slicks, probably because of the weight. How much does the MX5 weigh? What you say about the difficulty seems to be common - amateur events appear to often have better drivers than the semi-pro stuff like GT3. At the end of the day, the difference between pro and amateur is mostly the budget you have at your disposal.
  19. That was a thrilling watch Adam, especially 2:48 and onwards. Well held, nicely avoided and well held on the grass too Looks like such an enjoyable and skillful racing series. What tyres do you run in the wet, NS2's? Do you have ABS? Also intriguing lines in some places but they seem to work better than your competition. I'd love to see a g-meter in your vids one day. What kind of G's do you think you're hitting and what's that box in the middle of your dash?
  20. Changed silver Ozonys to black Ozonys, much better Might still remove the green decals.
  21. I'm aware of that, perhaps should have worded my post better. From what I understand, Jeremy was surrounded with controversies due to political incorrectness. I'm sure his record influenced the decision somewhat, especially if he was on his last warning. I respect and hate the BBC for sacking him at the same time.
  22. They were off air for around 2 years so I can cope with another 2 years till they return on a different station and probably under a different name. Hopefully, with a station that has little regard for PC.
  23. Very funny chap who's been blind since birth talking about various aspects of life. Highly recommended https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCld5SlwHrXgAYRE83WJOPCw
  24. I'm pretty sure these forks have a normal gel coat on them and no clear coat as such. You can even out the scratches using sand paper (600, then 1000) and then polish them out. Spraying a clear coat on the forks might work in the short run but I'd expect flaking to occur sooner or later.
  25. Dad has finally got his Amazon running. And we found an old picture of his original car
