  1. Perhaps I should refrain from such comments but that frame looks so unbelievably fragile. Anyway, bike looks absolutely stunning. Brilliant colour combination there.
  2. Kings are a bit like Marmite, you'll either love them or hate them. It will either keep slipping all the time, or it will hardly do so. I've been running a King since late 2005. First a new one which was quiet and skipped a few times, then in mid 2006 a used one which must be at least 5 years old by now and it hasn't skipped ONCE. On the other hand, I know of many hubs which have been skipping like crazy, which kept braking and had to be sent off to the US for warranty. If you want to buy one, buy it used from someone you know had no problems with it.
  3. I guess we can start to hope that 1/10th of those who viewed that video have looked up what trials is and that this will help with the popular understanding of this discipline. This vid could do our sport a lot of good, I'm pretty sure it's uncommon for any extreme sports vid to reach that many views in just over 24 hours.
  4. Would you rather receive a lifetime supply of salt&vinegar crisps or prawn cocktail flavoured ones?
  5. It's got some remarkable resemblances to Triton frames. Perhaps the Czechs didn't know how to make one so they went to the Russians.
  6. Oh my f**king god. I'm quite literally speechless, it's made my eyes water. How many biking vids have EVER achieved: All I can say is Danny you have a hell of a task ahead of you, you've got to top that riding in your next vid since nobody apart from you will ever manage to do that. Some of the best editing I've seen in a trials vid and definitely the best camera work I've ever seen in a trials vid.
  7. Sprinkler Sprinkle rim Drag brake for at least 20 seconds Sprinkle again removing black dirt Drag again Repeat a couple of times until rim there is no dirt coming off th e rim Wait till it dries or drag until it's dry
  8. There was a Family Guy poll recently so why not have one for American Dad
  9. It's not uncommon for brakes to work worse after a grind. Generally if you're going to ride in dry weather conditions, a smooth rim and a dab of tar is going to give you the most braking power. Try the water bedding in method, it should help.
  10. Aren't VIZ like Atomz, and aren't Trialtechs improved Atomz forks? If so, I'd go for Trialtechs. Mine are really stiff, something I personally don't like but in the long run it's the better option.
  11. How is it that nobody rides these frames apart from people who get them from Onza? Are they too expensive/snap happy or something?
  12. That's highly unlikely. Please absorb this message: Youtube Video -> ">" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350">
  13. Zoo Park Swimming pool Go karts Bowling Pool Shooting range Golf Ice skating Cinema Shopping Hookah Getting wasted in the zoo Getting wasted in the park Restaurant Drive out into the countryside Both look at Dr Nick Riviera's thread and decide there's no point in going out with her because the sun is relatively small comparing to the largest known star.
  14. I feel bigger and more important than ever. Thanks for posting that.
  15. That coust guy is really good. Nice lines too.

    Questionnaire

    1. What is the first thing that comes into your head when you see ‘Lucozade’? A drink which has loads of calories which of course is a good thing. 2. What do you associate Lucozade with? b. Energy 3. How do you see ‘Lucozade’ as a personality trait? c. Energetic 4. What values are important to you? a. Staying in shape b. Physical appearance d. Life 5. What is your reflection when you use the brand Lucozade? Active 6. If Lucozade was a celebrity, who would they be and why? Arnold Shwarzenegger, because I don't know any other celebrities apart from him and Tom Hanks, and Lucozade definitely wouldn't be Tom Hanks. Could also be Glen Quagmire? 7. What sex would you consider if Lucozade was a human b. Male I did a similar questionnaire not so long ago about some orange juices, the questions were remarkably similar (drink's personality, it's sex etc.). Is that some kind of industry standard?
  17. Indeed, the 26" discs are ridiculous, it's almost like being on a boat. 4 bolt mounted brakes seem ok and stiff, 20" forks are good both on disc and maggie.
  18. The unedited one is so much better. I would happily marry his riding style.
  19. Youtube Video -> Original Video I love this song.
  20. Well, I might be wrong here but some of the higher priced Monty stuff is of amazing quality. Cranks for instance. 221Ti's are apparently made of 6061 alloy but have lasted me longer than most of my mates have been riding their Echo CNC cranks (loose tapers). The Monty's still won't go right to the end of the BB so unless they crack, they're good for another few years. And they're superbly light, weighing in at around 375g. Neon 7075's weighed about that and they cracked like crazy. That's just an example of high quality 6061 alloy (Tryall cranks are the same) in relation to medium/poor quality 7075 which is supposed to be the better material for such applications. Sorry for this OT.
  21. As MBO says, the lighter the bike the easier it is to spin. It all depends on what your riding style is. I've tried a couple of different sets of alloy nipples, DT's are majorly f**ked, they bend, they're overly soft and don't hold spoke tension. Tried some other no names and have had them for a good 2 years now, they're super hard and just as reliable as normal steel ones (or whatever they're made of).
