  1. Yeah, but it's better if they snap on the stanchions. It's much easier to carry your bike home then. I've had forks snap in both places and carrying a bike in 3 pieces (as is the case with a broken steerer) is a real pain in the arse especially when all the pieces are connected with hydraulic cables. If you have an Echo SL hub and a broken SL fork, an interesting optical feature can be noticed. You can observe the funbolt washer through the stanchion. The washer has Echo logos all round and since it's drilled, the Ti screw which also has an Echo logo on it is visible. It sounds daft, but that sight is much more breathtaking than herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically across the African plains.
  2. Har Har, the joke's on you! Quite rare frames those are. Isn't it about time Deng released some new Zoo Lynx frames?
  3. That's exactly what MP D. Anderson was talking about. You are the one causing 3 million pounds worth of damage each year. Get out. I've got al aluminium one, it's great.
  4. Amazing stuff. We need more of these but of different riders. People should try to guess which rider is in each animation. How was this made?
  5. Get some Trialtechs, I'm running them now. They're only around 170g heavier than the Echo SL setup, the difference being that Trialtechs will probably last forever.
  6. These have a 3 month warranty, so if they were bought in December then it's too late. Here are my SL forks, pic taken about 1 week ago:
  7. Greetings

    Gu Vid 4 :)

Liked it, good riding and a nice tune.
  8. Great idea, well put together and had a nice calm pace to it but: The sections where the rider is presented and then thrown into that trailer should be of similar length. The bmx/downhill/dirt jumping ones were far too short, and the mod rider one was too long (I almost forgot what it was about). Danny Mac clips don't work when there are other riders in the same vid, he makes all of them look piss poor no matter how good they are. There's some (hopefully) constructive criticism.
  9. He's got a very short upper body.
  10. Yeah, that was more of a guide on what not to do. To me personally a good video is not the riding but the choice of music and editing. If you feel the same, look for a tune you really like and try to understand it's moments, where it gets lively and where it gets calm, edit the clips to fit the bars and/or re-edit the song so it matches the video better. I like watching vids which are edited in such a way that I know what is going to come next. Fancy editing is bad, fancy camera angles are as well since they rarely focus on what you're doing. Whoever is watching the vid will want to see the move clearly, not from an odd angle. Tripods for static shots can work well if positioned correctly but you need a wide angle lens for that. edit: oh, and if somebody is doing the camera work for you, make sure the camera is in motion all the time. That makes a hell of a difference.
  11. "Good" is a personal view. What's good to somebody else might be crap to you. Perhaps try a black and white intro in slow motion with clips of moves you haven't managed, some shots of your face and you looking at obstacles. Edit the riding clips in such a way that the viewer will think he'll see the whole thing later in the vid (but he won't, because you didn't succeed). Don't forget about the music, death metal is a top choice. With such music as a soundtrack, you are ready to include various clips of drop gaps and gaps. Repeat the odd gap and drop gap in slow motion and in black and white. The crucial thing is to keep your riding very simple. Viewers don't like to watch lines or varied moves. You'd best stick to 2-3 moves like drop gaps, gaps and if you want to be radical - drops. Drops can look good in black and white and slow motion. The end of the video should contain random clips of drop gaps, gaps and drops but without music so that the viewer can reflect upon the marvellous soundtrack you've provided. Any questions just ask.
  12. Is there any way to upgrade the strength/health etc? Or will it remain shit until the internet seizes to exist ?
  13. You mean Pokemon isn't cool? Here's mine: http://inur.mybrute.com/
  14. Probably dropping off ~3 pallets. I used to spend days getting the courage to do a pedal kick drop off.
  15. Pads: Rockman blues Time used: couple of rides Rim used: Trialtech SL Grind: medium Ceraminc: No Brake used: 07 magura water bleed, echo cnc brake lever, tr mounts What is your opinion of a working brake: aggressive bite, lots of hold, loud previous pads you have used: Coustsinks for 2,5 years, don't remember what i used before Review: quite good, fairly loud, positive feel, quite a lot of bite and hold, not that bad in the wet but not as good as cousts. Recommended.
  16. Creatine is good stuff, the immediate effects I saw was very quick recovery after exercise and no muscle fever at all.
  17. yaabaa - yob beaux koxx is now pronounced kay one two four
  18. Love them too, here's my favourite:
  19. Why would anyone ever need something like that?! That's probably the most dangerous bike bit I've ever seen.
  20. Nice challenging obstacles for a beginner, keep it up man! And keep riding those rocks, they develop skills walls never will.
  21. Wow, big moves + something that could be called music + black and white + slow motion = Originality Of The Year Award 2009. Here's you're prize: To be honest, that was just appalling.
  22. How do you pronounce Koekoek? Is it quequec?
  23. I'd agree with most of that since I never look at how many calories something has, and if I do it's to choose the product that has more. However, some people just have to put food into their mouth all the time. In such a situation you want that food to have as little "fuel" as possible. I often eat because I'm bored and for those occasions, food which has no nutritious values at all would be my choice.
  24. Indeed. This is very good, not exactly what you're looking for though. It's chillout with an oriental touch to it. Other leads for Youtube search: - dark ambient - space ambient
  25. Echo GU ZOO Adamant and Czar don't compete with each other, nor did they when each group had their own hubs, cranks, boosters etc. Also, apart from Echo freehubs and freewheels, their hubs have been very good indeed. Strong 12mm steel axle and 4 bearings per hub can't go wrong. The spindle system works out much better than threads too though I don't understand why the spline isn't just HG. I might be living in bubblewrap but I haven't heard a single complaint about the old Echo hubs, nor have I heard any about SL's but those have been around for too short a time to go wrong. There is a lot of space for improvement with their parts but comparing to other manufacturers like Koxx or Monty which charge ridiculous money for a cheapish and cheerful component, things are looking good.
