  1. The disc tab thing is a common problem with the ST frames. However, it's only the "strengthening" plate that snaps, once it's gone you can ride the frame with no problems whatsoever. I've ridden a TP and it was horrible, haven't had a go on a ST but my frame is fairly similar in geometry and I like it a lot. Less bb rise and a slightly steeper head tube angle should make it a really nice frame to ride.

  3. Good day to you sir! Watching Vanilla Sky. Pretty good movie.
  4. Nope, he's looked at the Veyron air brake and thought "I want a piece of that car in my bike". Looks good man.
  5. Exactly, which means it doesn't need testing because it'll be alright. We've had so many copies and they're all pretty much the same, the only difference being the amount of lubricant and welded bearing caps.
  6. Nobody has ever said that before. These pads should be supplied with something edible of the same colour else they might finish up in a rider's stomach. I'd like the red and green ones please.
  7. That's exactly my thought. But if this legislation really hits the BMX/Trials bike market which I doubt, certifying agencies won't look at how comfortable/uncomfortable a bike is to ride. If it has 20" wheels, it is going to be classed as a kids bike.
  8. Pay more attention towards the end and you might find out
  9. Both look great, really tastefully done.
  10. Might be a misunderstanding, but surely you can't fit a BB7 to a KOT, nor can you fit an adaptor of any sort.
  11. These were quite popular over here and worked really well up to the point where the drive shell exploded. There was a good bodge to keep these going longer, you just had a tight and thick ring made which you hammered onto the drive shell to keep it in one piece. I hate the feel of these hubs, they've got very soft engagement but in terms of value for money, they're really good for trials.
  12. Nope, it's made of Pr. A rare element discovered by the Spaniards at the beginning of the 21st century.
  13. Anyway what's the point of these topics? If you keep mentioning that something is not right, eventually even those who don't see it will start thinking that things have gone downhill.
  14. Yep, we don't need more SM's anyway. Indeed the forum is getting more stale recently especially in trials chat. Most topics in there are made by people seeking advice but because it's winter I'd think that many people just put their bikes away and therefore have nothing to ask about. It could be that or we could go with the recent trends and blame global warming.
  15. Yup. Very good vid that. Lovely music too.
  16. The problem with Top Gear is that it's really difficult to name the best presenter. The cast is so perfect that taking away any of those three would completely ruin the show. It's a bit like this, get me? As for the Tesla I agree that it's pointless. It is impressive but if you think about it nobody will really want to use it. It is a remarkable achievement but it just won't catch on with hydrogen fuel cells around.
  17. When you're dragging the brake, the rubbing noise will only come from pad/disc contact. It's almost impossible for a rotor to rub against a calliper with 2 moving pads while braking since both the pads move out. Bedding in brakes relies on the pads and rotor wearing down. How the hell do you want to do it without wearing down neither of them? I've bed in at least 20 disc brakes like that throughout the past 8-9 riding years and have seen no downsides whatsoever. It's the best way since you can start riding properly straight away without having to fight with no front/rear brake for hours.
  18. Yes because they're fun, French especially There aren't many things as charming as girls working in ticket booths at the French side of the Euro Tunnel. The American accent is dreadful.
  19. Tried it 2 years ago using a very short Onza stem on an A1 06' and it made me land on my back at the first bunnyhop attempt. It really made the bike dead easy to bunnyhop. I compared that to an '04 Pure which was much more difficult.
  20. Saying you'd only get a Vaio when short on cash won't get you far. You need to reconsider that, there are loads of laptops out there which are better performance wise and cheaper. With a Vaio, you're paying mainly for the build quality of the casing and display. What's inside is exactly the same stuff you get in Asus/Acer/Dell/whatever laptops. I was thinking the same way as you when getting mine and decided to sacrifice good looks and build quality for superior performance. Was definitely worth it. What's the point of having a nice and shiny laptop when you can't run certain apps on it because it's not powerful enough?
  21. I can only comment on that part. GTA 4 is a bit out of the question, when I run it on my PC the memory usage goes over 6gb. And with a 280 GTX graphics card the details only hit medium without it crashing due to some out of gfx memory error. If you want to run other games you need to start off with a fairly decent graphics card. I have a 8600 GT in my laptop, it allows to run NFS Pro Street in full details in 720p quite smoothly. However, graphics cards for laptops are very expensive and upgrading them is often impossible. Save up for a new laptop and get a VBI platform which allows various components to be changed in the future. There's no point in upgrading your laptop if you want to play good games on it.
  22. Good stuff, if you think about it these hydrogen cars really can save us but not in the way most would expect. The reason fuel prices are so low is because due to the financial crisis, the demand for fuel is dropping. This is what will happen when cars like that Honda become more common. Secondly, you'll use one of these daily which will be cheaper and cheaper to run once they figure out a good way of "collecting" hydrogen. And then when you want to have fun, you jump into your combustion engined sports car, get some cheap fuel and enjoy yourself blasting it around a track or in the countryside. Can't think of anything better to be honest.
  23. Nike Cortez. Been riding in them for 3,5 years now and there's no sign of them falling apart. They really must be one of the best shoes ever.
