  1. Went over to 150x35 on a similar geo frame and I love it. Many of my riding buddies changed over to that stem too after having a go on my bike. It kind of cancels out the bb rise.
  2. Well it was either you or me Should get them on monday.
  3. The size is crucial. Most if not all courier companies calculate volumetric weight of the parcel. So for instance, for the size you quoted DHL would charge you for shipping a 58kg parcel. UPS and FedEx would be similar, it all depends on the weight divider. It's usually around 5000 for air services. The minimum size to safely ship a stock bike is roughly: 105x55x25 For a mod: 105x38x25 Additionally many companies will have a big surcharge for shipments where one dimension is 120cm or more, that's something to do with it not fitting on a Euro pallet which is 120x80. So keep the longest dimension as small as possible.
  4. That's what it is! Couldn't quite put my finger on it
  5. Didn't know you ride trials (don't ask why). That's some good riding there, at a guess you're on the mod with the violet hubs? Came in here to post this, doesn't fit anywhere else. Had a GoPro for a while now, only now figured out it could be used on the helmet. Very miserable and brown outside, riding is also shit because I haven't ridden more than half an hour since September.
  6. The stem despite being a 150x30 fits this frame really well in conjunction with the new SL bars (not so much with the old ones). Quite unexpected, I thought it'd be horrible to ride.
  7. There's nothing you can do at the moment. You could grind your pads down by 1mm each, that won't be too much of a waste and at least you'll be able to ride properly. Changing the rim will sort the problem out definitely. What forks are you running? Most forks are designed for front rims of around 39mm.
  8. Looks lush. Very nice frames to ride.
  9. I'd rather get some advice from someone who has first hand experience in this matter. If you do, then sorry. It just seems there's few facts in your posts, mostly assumptions based on observations. edit: don't mean to sound like a dick.
  10. Sorry to brag on about this subject seeing as a lot has been said already. Would installing a set of handlebars in the steerer make the stack height minimum more negligible from a practical point of view? I'm really not comfortable with changing frames, tried a few candidates today and they all seemed odd. So I'd like to explore every possibility of safely installing these on a total stack height of 127mm.
  11. Good point. Same goes to Ali
  12. Why? I hope mine last, having second thoughts about them now. Then again I'll probably put less strain on them in a month than Vince does during one ride. They usually snap at the steerer right?
  13. Any bike with Race Line Maguras will look epic. End of story.
  14. That confused the shit out of me. Never mind though, I'll just get it built up on a Bow. Quite like the idea of a short low-ish bb frame.
  15. If this was a competition then Toni has done pretty well by stealing everyone's thunder. It looks like he's just come to do a demo
  16. So a stem stacker won't help?
  17. Well yes, providing that sorts the problem out.
  18. Finally! I was trying to solve this puzzle for a while now, blamed my eyesight for not seeing the difference in master cylinder diameter between the rim and disc brake. Never measured them. Recently installed a TR disc lever onto an HS33 and that made it slightly spongy and quite a lot more powerful. With some stiff forks like Trialtech or Bonz, it could actually be a very good upgrade.
  19. Ordered, looking forward to getting them. If the Tarty boys are reading, will a 127mm tube/headset height be ok? If not then I'll change the frame but I rather like the Echo...
  20. Didn't like it at all for the reasons Dave pointed out. There's nothing funny about three people trying to out-idiot each other. They've essentially become actors, not journalists if that's the right word.
  21. Ok one last question, is it ok to run that fork with such a stem? Or does the clamp height need to be longer?
  22. Ok, so has anyone actually used them or is this thread full of people who have only seen them on pics and know a lot about Vincent?
