Get closer to the edge and preload more. But it's a lot better. Pinch gapping is really useful, when you get it right you can easily gap 5ft or more without hardly using the drivetrain. You kind of preload, jump with your body and release the brake and that will shoot you forward. I'm shit at gaps, can do 8ft with minimal use of drivetrain but to do 9ft I have to stamp on the pedal really hard and that makes it look like your attempt in the first post. Oh and don't gap sideways, it looks super duper gay. Observe TRA's gapping technique, it's bang on.

I really like the look of these frames. Is it rigid?

Love the simplicity of that. Pretty neat stand from the OP too.

Not sure to be honest, 138 x 25 maybe? Will see how I get on with it.

Try making it with mozzarella cheese and green olives.

My dad makes the best currys ever. He uses only fresh ingredients - spices, herbs, vegetables - and leaves the curry overnight for the flavour to go through the chicken. They are really sensational meals. Other meals I enjoy are pepper steaks, pasta with tomato sauce made from fresh tomatoes and onions and roasts - duck, game and of course pork with crackling.

Hard to beat Tom and Fishy, I recall having a few trouser issues in moments you'd rather they didn't occur. One was in church during a confirmation or something like that when I was still a kid. I was obliged to perform some sort of two-handed gesture in front of the altar and the priest which meant letting go of my trousers which had malfunctioned moments ago while kneeling (button fell of and the zip burst). All I remember is that the trousers fell right down in front of a full church.

Yes, the new ones are completely different, really comfortable and with more rise than the Trialtechs. The only problem is that the tubing has a lot of odd bumps on the bends which somehow I don't believe are there to increase strength but because the manufacturing process just isn't as sophisticated as with other bars. Could be completely wrong though, that's just my observation. edit: actually, the bumps don't seem random. Perhaps they're there for a reason.

What's wrong with a Big Betty or High Roller?
-
Still can't ride but hopefully should be able to in a month or two. Can't wait. Weight is currently 8.18kg with a Maxxis Freeride rear tube. Could get it a lot lighter with a different drivetrain setup and tube but I'm not really pursuing the lightest bike possible. Just something that will be a good tool to ride.

Thought I'd post this up. The insert is made out of TR handlebars. It's fairly long, around 7cm out of which 25% sits in the metal insert. I'm not sure what glue was used for this but it was some sort of industrial spec epoxy which allows for gluing of surfaces up to 2.5mm apart. This was important since there is a gap between the insert and carbon.

You're taking the piss surely?

So how does piss taste?

^ pretty much all that, the worst being wheel flex in my opinion. Weight one can sort of get used to but having a wobbly bike on natural obstacles is a nightmare.

I'd highly recommend snorting crisps and biscuits instead, it's not (as) detrimental to your health as pepper might be.

I havn't actually so thanks for posting that. Note that an F1 clutch only has to deal with a third of the torque that Noble probably makes though. And it's got many plates. Amazing none the less.

The lightest is a Flyweight and I wouldn't recommend it at all - be it for a front or rear wheel. You'll pinch it on taps. This is my setup, I've been a weight weenie since I went over to stock in 2006 and after going through heaps of different combinations I found the perfect one last season: Front: Continental Mountain King Supersonic 2.2" + Maxxis Ultralight tube Rear: Continental Rubber Queen 2.4" (handmade version) + Maxxis Freeride tube It's a light setup, around 630g front and 1150g rear inc. tubes. I rarely get punctures but then I'm a smooth rider. You need a lot of pressure in the front wheel though, the bead is loose and you might end up pushing the tyre deep into the rim on big front wheel gaps if the pressure isn't high enough. That's pretty much the only downside I've found.

Why are there dogs in EVERY single vid he makes? There used to be one, now there are two.

Find it hard to believe this is a clutch off a 500bhp car or whatever the power output of the Noble is. Not really important but it caught my attention.

Nah, that's fine. Just wanted to avoid getting answers from 12-year olds who are currently owning their first trials bike (no offence intended towards said people). Seems to have worked. Is copper grease a good all-rounder or should it be avoided in certain areas? As for headsets, it sounds like alu ones can go into alu frames dry? Thanks to all so far

As the title says really. I'd love to get answers from professionals, not so much from people who have just been fiddling with their bikes for many years. I'm interested in the official answers. Parts that interest me: - Headset - BB cups - Crank-bb spline - Crank bolts - Pedal/crank threads - Cog and freewheel threads Thanks!

Ask him to send an email to you from the address his paypal account is registered under asking to change the delivery to the address he specified. Send the wheel to that address using special delivery. Get proof of sending and proof of delivery. In my mind that should keep you covered in the event something goes wrong.
