  1. it is the trials flavoured one. i just got the lockring anodized because i'm a big tart
  2. 25 quid posted, that included the stem being polished too
  3. today has generally been full of win: Got my proper confirmation and start date for my new job through. (7th September) Squatted 180kg nice and deep after a month off lifting. Had a lengthy fettle with the 20" today i've improved the chain-line, solved some creaks and it feels boss. i'm hoping to get my hopes back on it soon so it can be full on pimp. my front brake on the stock seems to have sharpened up dramatically, i doused everything in brake cleaner and left it for a few days, i guess everything has properly evaporated or whatever. i'm a happy boy purple eno is also the best thing ever:
  4. i think it's an echo lite. got the usual purple swag going on. while the new pictures are uploading i thought i'd put some of the old versions of my 20" on. because color, with maguras and original paint. got some disc wheels for it: Because color, rawed: i went to dual hopes, the front brake was at least 10x pimper than normal: i broke the color and breifly had a rockman manus i spend more time getting parts anodized than i do riding: purple eno is my favorite touch polished stem is also dead tasty
  5. went for a run at 6.30am today; i've been meaning to run earlier in the day for weeks now. hopefully i can maintain it. also i have newly anodized parts for my bikes. awww yeah
  6. getting my stuff back from the anodizers this weekend. yay for purple.
  7. i've just got a second bike(26), i'm currently romancing the newer machine. But i'm looking forward to being back on the 20" when i get new parts for it. if they both run nicely you'll probably enjoy swapping out between the two. Last time i had 2 bikes i never rode the 2nd one because it was unreliable

  9. i have quite a lot of pads and rotors that give sub par performance, is there any way of getting them properly clean and decontaminated? i've used disc brake cleaner from a spray can but the brakes still under perform
  10. trialtech sport lite bbs have never let me down, surely it's okay to use a lightish one if you replace it annually... i did some of my best riding on an old tt sport lite bb, i snapped three frames and only stopped using it because i got an echo press fit jobbie. trialtech sl cranks are rad.
  11. found a 203 mm roundagon rotor in my old spares box. i'm tremendously pleased about this. also i have more money to sort a car than i originally thought. winning

munged the threads on my tt sl cranks yesterday. i've taken good care of them too
  13. Does the tight spot occur if the chain is taken off the cranks? As your sprockets and freewheel/hub arent perfectly spherical so there will be a tightness caused by this.
  14. Have you tried the same tire on a different rim? The bead could have failed under your sheer henchness
  15. really enjoying the 26. Was making some fairly meaty lines and no longer feel cumbersome on it. Winner.

    buying a vehicle

i have had a look, i was just wondering outside of those costs what i need to be thinking about
  18. i'm an absolute noob when it comes to vehicles; i've got a new job and i need a vehicle to get to work and such, i'd prefer a van (i like the look of the astra vans) or an estate, i'm 24 so insurance isn't horrendous. i've got 3 grand and i can put a bit more in if needs be. what do i need to be considering? hah
  19. oh i'm sorry i felt so bad. she can kill me if she finds me on tinder
  20. Got the royal mail grad scheme, i start in august september so i can spend loads of time dicking about on bicycles get the f**k in. YEEEEEEEEEE

halfords are twats. the only way to progress into management is to go through their 'aspire' scheme. i applied for said scheme and passed the first two stages of the assessment. this was the final stage to be 'in' and get the training etc. so i drove toKendal (160 miles each way, and for those of you who don't know me i really don't do cars so this wasn't my favorite task). Every other candidate there is either full time or already a duty manager; i'm on a 12 hour contract so i have limited opportunity to develop any Halfords skill-set outside of selling and building bikes. i presumed that since this was for training to be a manager all of this stuff would be covered as part of the training but all the tasks were based around manager functions that i'm completely unfamiliar with (i had to ask what all the acronyms were on the documents) i'm annoyed that they didn't work out what my current level of Halfords actually was. I felt like such a twat
