  1. Which thread? I couldn't find anything.
  2. I guess most people have seen those 26" mod frames now. I seen them at Tartybikes but are they featured any where else? What are your thoughts on them? Might be a nice change to ride one.
  3. Where you meeting? Sounds like a few people should be going. Sunday was fun so it could be tommoro. I lost my job today so might be able to make it tommoro.
  4. If you tell us what the problem is and how much money you have to spend we could sort you out 100%. It's not worth saying to get part A and part B if you don't need them. Hope that helps.
  5. It'll be 6 quid at Temple meads station to park for all day. You might be able to get away without paying if you park round the back. But don't hold me to it! Ill be getting into the station at 10.30 so if anyone wants to meet me. I'll be at castle park shortly after that i guess. My number is ********** so ring me chikken if your lost and ill come find you. [edit] I recon i'll take my number off now as its no use. Fun ride and the weather was pretty good.
  6. Evolve and Revolution aren't available on dvd are they!? So can anyone help me out. I haven't got the hardware to put vhs to dvd. Is there anyone with these videos or has hardware to convert them for me. Ill pay some good money as long as its a good job. Any ideas?

    Pad Reviews

Pads: Viz Yellow Time used:2 months + Rim used: Viz and Echo Grind: Yes Brake used: Magura 97? The one where its says 'hs33 trial' on the lever What is your opinion of a working brake: Locks and doesn't slip no matter what. 100% How do they compare to previous pads you have used: Not exelent Review: These pads worked ok at the beggining then went downhill. With a grind they were grippy but didn't bite so well. The lock wasn't solid. After using tar they locked an hour then would slip. I was scared of doing gaps when using these. The ware rate was alright with a grind. Don't last forever. Noticable wear. Onza Citrus pads are a better choice.
  8. I have rode alot of different pedals now and though maybe i could help. My choice- ODYSSEY Pedals Cielencki Alu Loose £25 If you ride heavy, hit pedals hard, bend axles, destroy bearings and rip out pins then these are the ones. A little on the heavy side at 700grams. And also the bearings loosen quickly but don't break. Bear in mind for £70 you can get magnesium/ sealed ones which weigh in at 560 grams. Personally that is alot of money but your choice. Just for reference, i have rode; Primo Tendorisers, Shimano DX, V12, (never actually owned a pair though) V8, (never actually owned a pair though) Gusset, VP, Odyssey Southgate, Triple Traps, and all those ones that everyone else has rode eg, primo, triple trap! Hope this helps [edit] After riding natural a bit now but also riding in the mud and rain i run DX32's again. The slight concaved pedal feels nice under your feet conpaired to super flat pedals. However the pins can get raped easily. If you would like to look after your 50 pound pedals just run pins on one side. Thats what i do and it works perfectly if not slightly annoying. Shimano DX32 for winter or JC pedals for sumer. It does help to have grippy shoes.
  9. I might turn up for a Bristol ride. Sounds like it could be fun. Hopefully the weather will be alright as it's sucked all the this week. Summer is disappearing!
  10. Thanks for the help guys! Halfords hasn't got any trials ones. Currently i own a few now. Im looking for- Evolve; Revolution; BikeTrial Psycho; and any others you recommend! Manifesto, Tricks and Stunts i will be ordering. Some links would be cool
  11. So who is gonna be there on Sunday? Im gonna go either way. I haven't got my back wheel but have changed everything back round and will be riding. If no one else turns up ill cry or/and just ride the spots i know
  12. I ain't gonna be able to answer your question but only add to it. What is the Gu like for spongyness in the back brake? It has the cnc seat stay so it wouldn't need a booster? The Zoo doesn't and i would of though that there would be alot of flex in the frame. Is this true? I ride a Echo lite and damn its need a booster real bad. Some like sponge though EDIT: Maybe look into a Ko-bikes frame. They are pretty damn nice
  13. I use a stone grinding disc. Seems ok. Well i don't have many discs but i know different discs have a different effect. Hope that helps.
  14. Doesn't seem much of a fair comp really. But Monty bikes are quite good though. That rider i must say is pretty good on the street. What is he like at natural though? Either way nice vid. Like the computer generated war though.
  15. Here you can buy one. There on offer so be quick. Soon everyone will have one or a python! The bike is pretty sweet now with the booster. A bash plate would be a nice option though.
  16. Tar helps to lock and the grind helps to grip. I found they work well together. Just remmeber to clean the tar off with degreaser or white spirit when it gets to much.
  17. Surely you should wear it all the time not just more. I think this has made everyone think that one little thing can end in disaster no matter what. Ain't a nice thing to hear and hopefully we don't have to hear it again.
  18. Any body broke there trials steed and wan't to come to Hengrove (bristol) this Sunday? All my bikes are not working properly at the moment but also i don't even have my mod frame here!
  19. I remmeber when i didn't have a pump. Was the biggest annoyance ever. I live up a big hill and the bike shop was at the bottom. The loudest brake i've ever had would be a old skool Magura trial brake with Monty milk pads on a light grind with Monty brake spray. That was stupidly loud. Louder than tar. I remmeber where i used to live there was a rider a few doors down. Instead of calling on him i would just ride for 10mins before he would hear my brake and come out. Try it.. Im sure everyone who hears the brake noise looks to see if there is another rider round the corner on the wall you just rode.
  20. I believe that a headset is just a headset and doesn't need to be top of the range. I've never had a problem with sealed ones so I would go with a Cane Creek S2. 20 notes black of polished. Not bad.
  21. Oh yeah. I fogot about the gearing. It's still early. Maybe ill give the idea a miss. Cheers though.
  22. Simple question and a obvious answer but just to double check. Will a Eno fit on a rear mod hub? I wouldn't have thought it would but has anyone done it? Being mods use 12 and a eno is 18 tooth then the thread is very different. But maybe some one has pulled it off?
  23. I'm in for Sunday if it happens to be that day. I doubt i'll show on the Saturday as i'm most porberly working. See what happens.
  24. I'm not a fan of internal headsets and therefore never ran one. So I can tell you how not to get it off. Which should still help. Don't use a screwdriver and mallet as you will destroy or damage the bearings. Then they won't be smooth. I had a quick search round here and on google but didn't find anything use full. Try emailing onza
  25. Yeh man i've bin running a jubilee clip on there for a week now. I guess i'm going to get it helicoiled. But no can do for London though. Proberly go for a local ride tommoro, which sucks! Better than nothing. Cheers for the help though.
