  1. Getting a second hand one off Whiteboy so it should all be sorted now...
  2. Ahoy. Well, was riding Aber today, all was going smoothly. Then, for the first time in ages my trousers got caught in my freewheel. Not just any way though, oh no. Somehow, they got wrapped so tight it also got into the pawl mechanism, and bunched up so much it forced the driveshell off, bending the lockring in the process. Whoop de doo. So, does anyone know who distributes/is the main distributor for White Industries products in the UK, or am I gonna have to go further afield for a replacement lockring? If anyone's got any Enos for sale though, I'm interested (Y) Mark
  3. Maybe Pete's employers at Plymouth uni would like to know about his harrassing, threatening and lying to minors on an internet message board? (Y) Oh, and Pete - that was a JOKE before you call in Drazic/your new solicitor...
  4. Then why did you post this up on the forum you dozy shit? EDIT: Much as the comedy value of this post alone makes me want to leave it as is, I feel that as a "Responsible" mod I should probably cobble together some reasonable reply. As always with Pete, I will deal with this step-by-step. Interesting Fact About Pete's Post #1: It is not illegal for someone to give out your home address, especially if you'd already given it to someone and not told them it was "in confidence" or any shit like that. Interesting Fact About Pete's Post #2: Tom and/or Danny and the server would've been contacted if the forum was being "monitored". They haven't been. When the South Wales DH forum was being monitored after threats were raised (did you read the story of that in a magazine too to come up with this Pete?), the owners were informed and duly took it offline. Again, this hasn't happened here Pete. Interesting Fact About Pete's Post #3: If you are claiming you are being threatened, we have posts on here of you threatening others anyway. For example, you've threatened to punch people out before, beat them up and generally cause harm. Therefore, you'd be implicating yourself Pete. I know, from your posts on here you're a complete tool, but I doubt even you would do that (Y) Interesting Fact About Pete's Post #4: Why shouldn't the friendly tax man have your address Pete? Planning some tax evasion are we? Maybe you should phone up the government and tell them they're "wankers" that have your address and shouldn't have it? Interesting Fact (sort of) About Pete's Post #5: Having looked on the Plymouth university site, there is no mention of you holding a position there at all. Also, typically worker's contact details will be freely available from either the parent company of the employee or from their website, otherwise people couldn't get hold of you. That'd be a bit silly, wouldn't it Pete? Enough "Interesting Facts" - to be honest Pete, you're only still here because of the comedy value of posts like these. However, your posts are beginning to get slightly tedious - I say "Slightly"... - and as such, you're going to be banned next time you mention that you're going to threaten someone personally or threaten them with legal action. It's just too much hassle having to point out the *massive* flaws in your arguements, to be honest. Lastly, Pete - take note of the highlighted areas: Please bear in mind, when you signed up to this forum you agreed to the following, Please remember that we are not responsible for any messages posted. 5. Incl. the comp footage of Ashton, Hawyes, ET, Kurt Brain amongst others from S7? :)
  6. Well. I think there's some Ashton/Hawziee footage on Eengo, from their Halfords promo DVD? There's Akkers clips on gateeight.com. There's some ET footage on the old, old News section part on Section7.
  7. That's retarded! Ah well, more money for Deng I guess...
  8. That's shit if they are? I wouldn't have thought they would've been, I thought that just a promo pic with the fancy-ass bolts and the snail cams on just to show "Look what we have made for us"?
  9. Hey, No, the snail cams won't work on the Zip as there's no hole to mount the bolt that the snail cam butts up against. You can, as far as I know, take the snail cams off though, and just use chain tugs instead :) Mark
  10. New rim (built into wheel by me, first wheel I've done :)), new pads, new grind. All feckin' awesome :S

    Random Fact

    %42%69%6E%61%72%79%20%69%73%20%66%6F%72%20%63%68%75%6D%70%73%00
  12. Built it up now :S Took 2 hours, including stripping down the old wheel, and serving customers in our shop. Thought I'd properly f**ked it up at one stage 'cos the spokes were looking all spaghetti-like, but it was fine. Well... I say "fine" - as long as you don't look at how much spoke is poking out the top of the nipples, leastways. Had to use 175's instead of 173's, so it was a bit lengthy. Once I'd got the spokes all equal at first (so the nipples just covered all the thread showing, if you get me), it was all buckled and egged, but then I tightened them all up a bit more (randomly on each spoke too, 'cos I kept getting distracted by people) and the wheel was almost perfectly true, and almost no sign of any egg-age. There's a slight egg-thing going on, but it's only tiny, pretty much. Almost exactly the same as my Try-All front, actually... Anyway, just got to get me some white electrical tape to get it all matching and I'll be sorted. 940g for the wheel, 1010g with rimtape in. Hands up who's shop just got some new digital scales in :)
  13. The booster is lighter than the Echo Control for a start. Also, it's got a different shape to it near where the clamps for the Maguras go, meaning it's easier to set the brake up. The Control was such a bitch for doing that - with mine, it was just way too much hassle to set up which is why I plumped for a Team instead. It doesn't fit "any... mod/stock arrangement", which is why it says on the site that there's one for stock and one for mod. And unless Steve's massively altered his shed and his own appearance, that isn't his shed they're being made in, and that's not him making them...

    Random Fact

The decoded version was disappointingly short :)
  15. Just as a minor correction: The Mission Prodigy is a tweaked version of the first T-Pro frameset released after the square-tubed "T-Frameset" (the T-Frameset having been released in 2000, the T-Pro frame being released in late '01/early '02?). Not to mention Mission making the heinous mistake of having 1.5" headtubes on their bikes :)
  16. At first, I almost crapped my pants 'cos I thought he'd just front touched that. Are all the little dark marks on that wall caused by people hooking it? I really, really hope not :)
  17. The awesomeness that is Ad Read has sorted me out with spoke lengths, so I'm just gonna have to hope we've got some in stock tomorrow at work...
  18. Cool video :P Was nice and sorta...just...good, really. I can't really put my finger on it, but it was just a good video :) Some cool stuff in there too.
  19. :) Steve's put a load of time in on these. I've had a fair few templates on Weetabix boxes to check mod compatability. It's a dialled product :P
  20. Allen key > Rubber mallet. Typically, new parts need to bed in, and new cranks/BB's love the whole "Let's get loose" game. Just tighten it up good 'n' proper, and repeat whenever it feels like the axis of your crank spinning goes "funny". It'll feel like it's dropping away. Anyway, yeah, just tighten it whenever it does that, and after some time it'll go away. Alternatively, you can just threadlock it in place :) I've never, ever heard of a crank 'splitting' because of over-tightening. The bolt is gonna go waaaaaaay before the crank arm. If you're super paranoid, take it to your local bike shop, and ask them to do it up with a torque wrench. Typically, manufacturers seem to recommend 35-40fl/lbs (or whatever the crap the imperial measurement is), but 40-45 always does it for me.
  21. Alex, if you're trying to play it in Windows Media Player, you won't be able to. Go to www.divx.com and get the newest player from there - it's free 'n' easy, just like yo' momma. :) Just getting the vid now, but Eengo's in no great hurry.
  22. Yeah, that's the problem I was thinking might come about... Just depends how deep my nipples are (giggles) and how far in the spokes are at the moment. Sketchy sketchy...
  23. *sigh* Isn't it lovely when the "Steel is real" crew brand aluminium frames as "un-unique" and "all the same". If you actually chart the progress of trials frame design, a LOT has happened in the last 3 years. At the moment, a lot of people are using variations on the same theme, but that's just because these frame designs work, and it's just a case of companies using their own ideas about geometry on the basic frame concept. When was the last time there was a fully innovative steel frame? The last "new" design for a steel frame was the 26Ghz, and that was being finished up in '03. Curtis' and Leeson frames are almost identical frames, save for a few tiny design feature differences (360 dropouts on the Leeson), but the basic frame is exactly the same. Almost all steel frames have exactly the same style front triangle and rear triangles, so I don't really get why you're all slating aluminium frames then creaming over steel frames?
