They're not "too short", it's just that longer cranks mean that you can run a harder gear (and therefore have more power, which is a good thing) but it'll feel easier, because you have more leverage (so you can get to the power more easily :(). But f**k it, just run 20:14 :(

I used to run 22:14 on my T-Bone 'cos I'm butch as f**k. On an unrelated note, I'd go for 20:13, but get some longer cranks. All the power of 20:13, but it'll feel as easy as 20:14. Works for me with 175mm cranks and 18:12 on my T-Pro :(

Not very well? It's probably not super strong, probably doesn't have the sort of geometry you'd want for trials (length and rise), and would probably flare the f**k out of the outer sleeve. It's made for tandems. If it was good for trials, people would use it already :(

He's right, you know. The Linear Slic cable would be perfect for your front brake, Mr. Tomm. It should fit through the star nut hole too, but it'll work way better. With my Clarks/Shimano outer/inner combo, with my back brake on my BMX, I could get one full barspin and it started binding. Any more and it was shite. With the Linear Slic the same length, I could do a triple if I wanted to/could, with no binding. Should be wubbly for the front...

They just mean that if you run a 9t driver on your cassette hub you can use it. This is 'cos the original Shadow chain couldn't, so they've addressed that issue and the fact they used to just fall apart. However, the main flaw was the fact that they doubled in length in 13 seconds, but there's nothing they can do about that, so they don't mention it. Anyway, the Shadow Interlock V1 was OK for trials use, in the sense that it'd go round your sprockets fine anyway.

That chain is also sold from Cycle Sport Limited for a tenner. It's the Shadow Interlock 2, which Shadow will probably charge 2.5x the amount Cycle Sport do for it :P But either way, if you don't need a half-link I don't know why you'd get one. f**k - even if you DO need a half-link I don't know why you'd get one.
