I just got some basic ones. Triple LED, triple feature front in a rinky dink little pod thing. Had a QR bit on the clip for the bars so you could take it off super easy. The rear was fairly slender (again just a triple LED one I think) and it was as thin as my seat-stay on my T-Pro so that's where it went. Drive side, 'cos that way it's visible, plus I'm right foot forward so it meant it was safer :)

Mat Hoffman would tear your face off your head for stealing the Hoffman Bikes logo though...

Protecs aren't like Protecs used to be. Previously, they just had a foam lining, but they altered the helmet safety rules and they were outlawed for not having the polystyrene inner bit. Therefore, the new ones do, so they're a bit more sticky-outy. Capix skate helmets, such as the Opener, don't have this. They're pretty good, used by Danny "I jumped the great wall of china and did loads of rad shit" Way amongst others.

That was balancing just before wheel swapping on a wet bench, and the front end slid off sideways :) Are you still in Wales now?

I still prefer the "Vin Diesel isn't lactose intolerant, he just refuses to put up with any of lactose's shit." :)

Stands are super useful in our shop just to do gears and shit like that. They're just handy! Anyway, try something like this? Have a long bit of thread, welded on nut at bottom, spring to push it up near the hinge/pivot area, then nut with a welded on arm at the top? Could probably get someone to knock that up for you, but you could just tighten the top nut and it'd clamp the arms. It's how our shop one works, only our's owns ;)

+ = Problem Solved. There's no puppy-problem that a sack and a river can't solve.

The other thread was a T-Mag too. Anyway, with regards "Breaking a frame and asking for a replacement is like eating a cake and asking for a replacement: Its not likely to happen" - you're wrong. It ISN'T like "eating a cake" at all. If a frame breaks, it'll either be manufacturing error (i.e. bad welding, faulty metal), design faults (i.e. not being gusseted enough, sketchy design in general) or just wear and tear. If it's one of the first two, it's the manufacturer's fault as they're putting the frame on the market. With the latter, it's the rider's fault, but that's why some companies such as Onza do the 2-year crash replacement scheme. So if he's raped this frame, he can at least try and claim on the crash replacement scheme, as that caters for frames that have suffered as a result of a 'crash' (such as falling to bash or whatever). It's up to them to decide whether utter rapage of a frame in a few rides is 'excessive' or whatever. Either way, he can still phone them and see what they say. That's why they draw up warranties in the first place.

Trials is about balance. Without the physical ability to lift your bike, pedal hard, brake hard and so on, you'd be up shit creek without a paddle. Similarly, if you didn't know how to ride up a 4ft wall, you'd be f**ked even if you did have a lot of muscle. JT!, I've lost count of the amount of threads where you STILL haven't got the idea that trials DOES take strength. Someone who is 'strong' by most standards wouldn't be better off, simply because a lot of the muscles used for trials can't really be exercised by lifting weights. It's all about slow and fast twitch muscle fibres. Weight training typically trains the slow twitch fibres, whereas you need more developed fast twitch fibres. Therefore, just riding loads WILL make you stronger. If you ride a lot, your fitness and strength DOES improve, simply because it has to. As you ride more, and start going bigger and learning other moves, you will become stronger as it's a gradual process. For example, when you first backhop, it canes your back/wrists 'cos they're not developed. However, you gradually overcome that, and the muscles develop to facilitate hopping. This extends into backwheeling, gapping, dropping and so on. Without strength, you can't ride. Therefore, it's a balance of physical and mental. It's impossible to actually say "43.65% strength 56.35% mental" because it just doesn't work like that. Different moves require different amounts of strength and skill, as does different riding terrain. You ride differently in, say, a comp to when you're just out chilling riding street. Anyway, it's just a balance. There's really no more to it than that. Without strength you can't do anything, and without the technique you can't do anything either. More refined techniques breed more confidence which leads to bigger moves. The end...

Yeah, but when I'm too steep I just step off the back? Which is the point I was making - I've not hit my bashguard for a fair ol' while, and you know that I just backwheel shit all the time ;) On mod especially, it's just super easy to step off the back 'cos you know when it's going to shit, so you can pre-empt clattering the bash into the wall...

L'boro is not far from Nottingham, home of SuperCycles. Maybe they've been there? Ad rides/rode and lives/lived in L'boro. He also had a lot to do with SuperCycles in the past. Maybe he's spoken to other L'boro riders at some point? Maybe therefore they'd "know a bit more about Onza than your average trials rider"? Meh, anyway...

I find keeping the light on works better. It just sorta tires my eyes out or some weird shit, 'cos I feel tired, wait until I'm just dropping off and then turn it off. Also get some weird half asleep/half awake shit where I suddenly wake up, think "Shit, I need to turn the light off and take my glasses off before I sleep" then realise I already have. Joy joy joy.

If you don't go to bash like a fat heffer, it's not necessarily a bad frame. I can't remember the last time I went to bash after failing to get a back wheel (or at all?), simply because it happened that long ago. It's not hard to either get a foot out or just step off the back. Really, it isn't. Just buy a freewheel bashguard if you really want to twat into stuff with gay abandon. If you like the geometry of the frame, why ride something else* just because you can't twat your bash off stuff? *Note: Un-acceptable answers include: Because it's long, because people will think I'm cool, because CLS does. EDIT: Same goes for the downtube with me. I've scuffed mine on sketchy rocks riding natural and shit, but I can't ever really remember hitting it backwheeling something? Definitely not hard enough to dent the tits out of it.

Because of course what people you don't know, have never met, and will never meet are doing is vitally important to you, and how other people you don't know, have never met and will never meet view you is crucial. Oh wait, it's not. WAKE UP YOU f**kTARDS*. *I don't mean JT!, I mean you other dozy c**ts. Whether a chav in Dover rides a trials bike doesn't mean shit to you, so get the f**k over it. It's late at night, I'm irritable and tired. EDIT: Watched the trailer. Question: How is people jumping "DEFYING GRAVITY"?
-
Hmm. The idea is sound. People have little odds and ends cluttering up their rooms/toolboxes/garages, so it's cool for them to be able to help others in need, but there's some blatant For Sale/Wanted shit going on here already. If people could've just played by the rules it would've been OK, but due to certain members messing around and stretching the guidelines a little, I've got to close this. If people really do need any odds and ends, just make a new post, I guess. Don't forget - make friends with your local bike shop, and they might sling you the odd adjuster screw or whatever for free. Support them and they'll support you (Y)

Went to Soton for a few days (Left Saturday, got back today). It's amazing, and I'm way tempted to move there... Might see some of you there in the coming year, hopefully (Y)

Hey dude, were you the one who said "You're Mark, aren't you?" Anyhoo, got the Macneil Lite sprocket in 33t. Got it on now, feels super good. 33:12 feels more like 36:14 (what I liked) than 36:13 (what I had, but was a tiny bit too tall for the short run-up street around here), plus it looks sexeh. I've got all the stickers taken off my bike now too, so it looks all nice 'n' sleek, 'cept for a rinky dink Airwalk one... Pics tomorrow I guess (Y)

f**ks sake. In the last two weeks I have spent a total of...erm...around £220 on my BMX. Dammit, Pijin! Probably have some new pics of the newer, sleeker bike soon...

Schwalbe. I used to run one on the front. Properly good shit. Mine lasted super well, although I should point out mine was a mod yada yada. It should be fine though, they do lightweight tubes so just hammer one of them in.

Sorry for not saying hi to many (if any? (Y)) people. Just didn't recognise anyone 'cept for Dan Ko, James obviously and Fletch :"> I was the one on the black BMX, and the guy on the polished BMX at the station and later on by those walls was my brother Dan. Sorry for ditching y'all so quickly too, but there was some hardcore pitch-and-putt action going down :P

Question: How the f**k did they evolve and survive?! "Oh shit, there's a predator! I'd better run! Oh, no, wait, I've spazzed out." It makes no sense  Surely they'd have all just died, unless some weird breeder out there thought "Hmm, if I shout, that one happens to fall over. BREED BREED BREED"...

Phil's not stupid, so now this has gone public, I'd imagine he'll probably cut you some kinda decent offer...
-
I don't see how it can be your fault if you've run a booster as well. Welcome to the limbo of not having the crash replacement scheme  Nah, good luck with it all...
