1. Been a few days since I've updated everything. I've got the week off work so started painting the interior. It's really tedious to do and it's quite hard to see in the garage (first world problems) but I've got a few more coats to do and it will be sorter. Really happy with the colour as before people k ept asking why I chose white... But it's not it was just a really shitty light grey. First coat to check the colour Did the full first coat today I took a picture of the new Ford focus mk3 rs into b and q and got it colour matched to that. Hopefully will get another layer of paint on tomorrow and get it all assembled next week. Came back from London the other night (can see the clothes on the floor) and had to get carring as I'd been away for a few days.. So swapped my dash bits over to the new unbroken dash. Thanks @RyG it took a lot longer than expected but also fitted the cut off switch. Really happy with its location. Seems to fit in. Also fitted new as bolts with washers. Ended up buying a new coil pack and ht leads from Renault just so I know everything is new before mapping, £120 though jeez.
2. Is that comic f**king sans
3. Well I'm signed up to vote now tthought it would help! Who shall I vote for? The area around me are all conservatives because it's posh as foook but I don't know.
4. You wouldn't believe the shakes of rage I got when he accused me of calling him an hour before the original phone call to abuse him. How a company can lie like that is unbelievable. We only ever had two phone calls, one a while back where I call him about sending them back and the 30 min one which was posted on the original thread.
5. Tell me about it haha
6. Yeah true, I've already got my money back mate. I put in a PayPal claim and the guy shat himself when I posted my experience on the forums. Obviously hiding something as he wouldn't accept a refund at first. You should hear the phone call I had with him, it's unbelievable. Can't remember if I posted the sound recording on here.
7. I love how well it's taken off dave. As you know I've been following pretty much every post on your instagram on it and I'm even impressed. Well done mate. Is this a full time thing now or just on the side?
8. You've just got a load of grass in the way of the shot??? Haha Well I've got a new mapping date of the 1st of July which should give me plenty of time to get the car sorted by then. I need to identify the blowing exhaust and sort that. Then obviously finish painting the interior! I received my new injectors from rs tuning... I'll be honest, it's absolutely night and day difference between the quality of them compared to the ones from SAS. Check out how rough the ones from sas look in terms of the plastic moulding and the deka logo... Ignore the number scratches, that was from the cowboy injector tester company. Compared to rs tunings... Take from what what you will. Would be interesting to see other peoples perspective on the quality there. Tonight ive been retaping my interior loom as I had quite a lot of paint on there when I painted my interior the first time. Gone for a nice Matt finish on it which I really like. I completely redid the loom that you can see when it's in the car in this style just o keep it all neat and uniform. Got some p clips on the way so I can tidy it all up properly. Can't wait now I've done a decent job of it. Tomorrow I've got this to fit to the new dash. Absolutely sick to death of disconnecting the battery under the pass seat by unscrewing the 8mm nut so this makes sense. Only £12 too and it's fia approved.
9. Really appreciate that guys, very helpful. I'll present that to b and q tonight and see what they can do. Will b and q know "ral" if that makes sense, like its a universal colour chart number
10. Here are a few pics from the other day. So the next step was to get this sorted. You can see where the paint stops from when I stripped the car after painting. Seats removed Also removed these brackets too I need to flap them smooth next week. Cage out Handbrake off I will be changing the top dash to get rid of the broken one here Removed the wiring loom too to re-tape as it had a lot of paint from last time. I will head to B&Q this week and choose a paint colour as I want it a darker primer colour. I want it this colour...
11. Haha don't do too dark as it will change your steering wheel size
12. Modified my gearstick tonight. Before After
13. Whatever happened to him? What was his name?
14. Same as those man, 630cc but they're the stubby ones! I assume yours are the standard size?
15. Sorted the driceshaft issue by shoving the engine across a bit wwaiting to get my injectors back then I can get it re remapped
16. I remember when Dave acknowledged that it was all bullshit and promised to never fall for all of it ever again. Guess he relapsed.
17. Yeah, it is annoying. Especially when I spent so much time and money in making it perfect as much as I can. Going to try and move the engine over 15 tomorrow but I doubt it'll budge that far!
18. It's the engine being over to the drivers side too much it would appear. May need to loosen everything off and try budge it over but I doubt it'll move 15mm over. That's a lot
19. Sorry, I never updated! I bought new injectors, high flowing ones, but one of them was duff so I couldn't have it mapped. Mapper had to chuck me on a safe get me home map with some spare injectors he had lying around. Also adding to that was this horrible vibration, was actually hurting the mappers feet It was that bad. Found out what it was tonight though with the assistance of someone. Check out this
20. Yeah efi. Haha tin cans love it. I really want to stick with efi as he knows my ecu inside out.
21. Nah, it's nothing too bad really. Just the costs involved as it's set me back £120 for delivery, £200 for mapping, £30 for fuel back and I'm back where I stsrted which is a b*****d. Also the time is worse as I can't get it mapped for another two months now. That's summer track day time.
22. Sorry for not updating guys!! I'm not sulking! I had 36 people to message yesterday about it so finally catching up. I'll do a write up later on.
23. Thanks luke, the turbo has been upgraded to a brand new Megane 250 unit. I'm running bigger injectors, bigish intercooler, upratedr fuel pump, 3"decat, uprated clutch and smf, forge bov, oil cooler, water wetter added. I've got a list of what people think it's going to make bhp/torque. You can get 270/280 on a standard meggy with a Remap. I'm not chasing figures though, just thought it'd be interesting to see what people thought it'd make.
24. Luckily the bottle is still clear just the shit inside it haha
