Muel Posted March 25, 2008 Report Share Posted March 25, 2008 Slacken all the spokes, and retension them so it's round again, if it's bad you may want to considor making it more round again.So the real answer is, use both a hammer and a spoke key! Thats a bit drastic.I always thought it went along the lines of....At the higher bit of the 'egg', tighten the spokes. On the opposite side, loosen them. Should bring it back into shape. If you put it under your pillow it might hatch.Ahahah...Yeah, Tomturd is right.The bit thats further away from your hub will want the spokes tensioning (to pull it closer to the hub) and the opposite to the bits closer to the hub. Dan6061 Posted March 25, 2008 Report Share Posted March 25, 2008 Where the wheel goes upwards, tighten a group of spokes on the opposite side.Pairs are the triangle shape two spokes make, then a group two pairs. - Left, and right.Make sense at all?Just keep using quarter turns, and make sure it's a decent spoke key, don't go rounding off your nipples! And the spoke comes out the top of the nipple too so I cant use a screw driver Does that mean I need to cut the spoke out and replace it with a shorter one?
