Post A Picture Of Your Guitar

Yeah, that's what I thought. I'm gonna be doing a Grade 7 Rockschool this year.

Don't the Associated Board only do acoustic guitar though?

I do ABRSM for piano. It's much mor formal than Rockschool.

I have my grade 5 Piano on Tuesday. (Shitting myself)

Haha

That's so ugly I think it gave me cancer

cheers, the pictures really dont do them justice i think the pictures of them look bad but in the flesh they are a lot nicer theres a lot of curves on them.

theyre also a bit like marmite.

They are so comfy to play and they sound so good though, I'm jealous.

Yeah it is acoustic, but you can relate one to the other.

Good luck with the exam man! :)

Is that how you think comfortable is really spelt? That Ibanez bass is nasty to look at - so, so ugly! I'd take my 85 japaenese P-Bass any day.

Honestly, so would I although there's little doubt in my mind that the Ibanez would be nicer to play.

Anyone with any more new wooden pieces of glory?

Thanks duude. :)

So did you do you Grade 8 ABRSM!?!?

That's pretty intense!

Yes - and Rockschool.

Did most of my grades with Rockschool, until I realised if I wanted to be used for more classical stuff as well, I'd need some "classical grades". All my Flute exams are Associated Board - and I'm Grade 8 on that too now. I hated the Grade 5 theory you have to do to do Associated Board anything above Grade 5. :(

Yeah, it's quite a stupid rule.

I'm gonna have to start on theory now, if I pass this exam. I aint done any yet! Haha

There are practical musicianship exams or the jazz exams that can be taken at grade 5 level instead of theory.

That said the theory isn't particularly hard as long as you have a teacher to check your working, I started learning theory 2 weeks before the exam and got a merit...

This is my new project. :P

Coming up in the next month:

New pickups - new strap - locking strap locks - new scratch plate - new tuning pegs - new strings - new volume knobs. It's being sent off for an over-haul set up after my Yamaha comes back from being made.. fancy. :P
